Really stunning patio seating. Love the portion sizes.
Delicious!! Everything was perfect !!
Reservation was for 9:15. Waited 40 min to be seated. Food was overpriced. Paid just as much at little door for amazing food and experience. Music was so loud you couldn’t even have a convo. 20% gratuity included even when service was subpar?? Food came out an HOUR after I ordered.
Amazing food and atmosphere.
Very good ... service was good but could have been better
Really great food and the staff were amazing, taking every covid precaution possible. A great experience.
Nice ambiance friendly staff good food
Great food, we enjoyed everything that we had - beets, ribeye, ceviche and drinks!
Still on the expensive side. Good food.
Great food and service
Delicious, fun but very noisy. Have the Pisco Sour - yummy
The menu and ambiance at Rosaline are not to be missed!
Over priced mediocre food The restaurant have the nerve to add 20% restaurant fee on the bill
No dessert offer from waiter
Service felt like a bit of a factory line - every 10 minutes the server/waiter/busboy came over...this increased to almost five minute intervals by the time I guess we hit the restaurants one hour deadline to seemingly “get up and leave”. It was so embarrassing to bring a friend there for a relaxing dinner and feel as if you are being hurried and harassed out of what should be a peaceful meal. Not going back.
We came on Valentine's Day and it was a pre-fixed menu, and they weren't even offering the Paella (listed) which was the entire reason we came. At $85/pp + drinks, the portions are small, the space was loud, the food tasted good (moderately warm & whatever was under the brisket was semi-cold, I assume it was all already prepared ahead of time) ... Bummed we couldn't try other things, we probably would've spent more $ overall just ordering all the small plates to fill up. We honestly would've walked out when we sat down and read the menu but they had taken our CC at the time of booking and we didn't want to pay $100 to leave a meal we'd been excited to try. Maybe a better experience on a non-holiday? We still enjoyed ourselves but definitely don't need to be back which is a bummer since we live in the neighborhood.
The first time I dined at Rosaline I was thoroughly impressed, which is why I was so excited to book a Valentines Day reservation for my husband and I. Overall, I was not impressed with the selections offered on the pre-fixe menu. There were a total of 3 course offerings with 3 menu options to choose from in each. However, the moment we sat down for our 6:30pm we were immediately notified by our server that an item from each course offering was no longer being offered. Apparently, there was miscommunication in the planning and preparation of the VDay menu. This was my husband's first time dining at Rosaline and he was very disappointed as was I. A couple who was seated next to us actually got up and left because they were so disappointed in the menu offerings. It was completely unacceptable, especially for such a special evening as Valentines Day.
We have been to Rosaline a number of times - usually one of our favorite restaurants and dining experiences.
We went on Valentines Day - specifically for the paella - our favorite and listed on the prefix menu.
We were the first seating of the eve and upon arrival were told they would not be serving the paella because they couldn’t handle the time management to make it (it was on the menu as one of 3 entree options so it was a bit surprising they realized that day it couldn’t be made) They were also out of a number of other items on the fixed menu.
The staff seemed flustered but were doing their best. The food was great just not where would would have booked if we knew prior. We still love Rosaline but it was clear they were not ready for a Valentine’s crowd and it was a disappointing start.
My biggest issue was when the bill arrived - they added an automatic 20% for a party of 3! Totally unacceptable considering 1) never mentioned prior 2) service was mediocre. The food was average (scallops were overcooked), the wines were pretty bad and the cocktails were watered down.
The food was very very disappointing. Their paella was awful. Their cilantro rice tasted bland. Their seafood rice didn’t taste good. Nothing tasted even remotely good. The service was amazing. But the food was awful
Horrible service. Great food.
From the moment we walked in the door, we knew this was going to be a special meal. A warm greeting from the hostess and wave from the bartender in the background welcomed us. We were seated at a table next to the open air kitchen wheee we could watch the magic unfold. Our waitress promptly arrived and made wonderful recommendations - her genuine enthusiasm made you know this was a good place to work as well as to eat. All the Pisco cocktails were great. However, it was the ceviche appetizers that knocked our socks off. The halibut and crispy calamari was out of this world. I’m salivating as I write this review! The arroz con pollo was the most memorable main course - amazing cilantro rice and chicken cooked to perfection. Desserts were only average, but did not detract from what is now my favorite West Hollywood restaurant.
Good food but too noisy
Had dinner there on a Friday evening with a friend. Hostess and Bartender were great. We had a average server who was not very interested in helping us choose our meal. He was more interested in making sure we continued drinking. His name was Gio.
At the end, I realized that there is a mandatory 20% service fee/tip - which could of contributed to the server not being incentivized to providing great customer service, yet instead make sure that our bill increased with each drink we had. Overall, I liked the food and ambience, and even though 20% would have been my “go to” gratuity amount, this server was not deserving of it. I probably will not visit this restaurant again.
The food at Rosaline is sublime. The room was just a bit too noisy for us but the food made it worthwhile. Try the seafood paella, it is unforgettably good!
The venue feels warm & full of earth via the plants & amber lighting. The food is remarkable & cocktails were very well crafted.
Great ambiance and fun, but horrendously overpriced. I feel like I paid double for the value I got.
Great food — creative and delicious (and pricey). Be ready for very loud music, making conversation over dinner challenging. Lots of attitude from host.
Great Peruvian food. Nice ceviche menu and tried several that were both very good. Lomo saltado was top notch as was the branzino. Good service. All around great meal. Pricey but high quality.
We were excited to try this new restaurant and thought the menu sounded yummy. However, we went on New Years Eve and it was a prix fixed menu. The food was heavy, you couldn't taste the different elements. Too many notes, I think a simple approach would be better.
My family enjoyed a lovely meal here tonight and would recommend to friends and family. We had the eggplant, sea bass ceviche, short ribs, and paella- all very good, but we were surprised how much larger the paella dish was compared to the short rib since they're from the same part of the menu. Other than that, really great meal, excellent atmosphere, and fantastic cocktails. Thank you!
The restaurant has a “C” rating which is practically hidden. The service was not very good and the already include the 20% service fee.
