Always so good! We always try to go for Restaurant Week. The Sangria and Tiramisu are AMAZING!
We were surprised when we arrived that it was restaurant week. The appetizers & entrees were very good and were full portions.Could have skipped dessert. I am not a fan of restaurant week, but was very pleased with the food. The service was attentive & friendly.
Perfect Birthday dinner place
Always good. I live in Boston but have friends and family in RI. I enjoy it as much as any great Boston restaurant.
nice, lively place with good food; we really enjoyed our evening!
Romantic and cozy. Late night dinner. The Grerk salad was so yummy with olives, capers and fresh feta, veggies. The highlight was the Branzino. Not one bit was left on the plate!
Great food! I got the pasta bolognese and it was really rich and filling. Boyfriend got the half chicken and it was delicious--mashed potatoes were the star of the show. we each got a cocktail and enjoyed it. It was really cold inside the restaurant whenever the front door opened, even though we were seated in the back. Also we were seated next to the service station/bathrooms, so it was pretty loud at times and staff were congregating nearby. Still great meal and great service--would definitely recommend!
The Sunday dinner meal was a disappointment in that it was mostly beef, no meatballs or sausage as described.
The grilled swordfish was fantastic , as was the mashed potatoes and eggplant.
Service was ok
Bolognese was fantastic, great oysters and the veal chop special was awesome - good portion sizes and everything well prepared. Wedge salad was so-so - needed a little more bite for me. We had gelato and truffles for dessert which were thick and creamy. Wait staff attentive and enthusiastic. Only complaint is that it was cold at the front of the restaurant. Cold evening and the wind would whip through the front every time the door opened. Brrrr!
Had a very good meal. The host was great and our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. Food was quite good. We shared the wonderful roasted brussel sprout salad with apples, red onion and pancetta. I had a delicious pasta dish with spicy local made sausage, broccoli rabe and roasted peppers. On the downside, my colleagues Branzino fish was to have been deboned before serving but it was filled with bones. She made a large pile on the side of her plate. And it was too warm in the restaurant and clearly the kitchen ventilation system was not working well.
Nice evening with our kids..... said it was family friendly but would recommend more for a date night...
Food and service were excellent! Highly recommended!
Repeat visit for me- 3rd set of friends who love this place now that I introduced them. Worth a trip to Providence4 pm opening makes it a perfect place to eat after a PPAC OR DUNK afternoon event
Been to Rosalina many times over the past five years. I was very disappointed in the service and the food this time. I’ve always had a good meal and good experience, but this time just wasn’t that good (especially for $150 bill for two.
Great as always. Our server was spectacular.
We had a great seat in the window, Tyler was an excellent server and our meals - four different meals and we each tried the other's - were terrific. Pricing was very reasonable for what we had.
Staff was very good, the restaurant felt welcoming. The menu covered all based pasta, chicken, fish and steak. Nothing stood out as overly creative but the food was prepared well. I would recommend and would go back.
Went here with my daughter. Great place. My only thing was that our table was too close to the next table. However, it was a busy night so I understand. The service is great and the food was excellent. I had the lobster ravioli and it was as good as it gets.
Food was excellent however seating was cramped and noise levels were high.
Service is great my only complaint is the oysters, second time trying them here and they always come out room temperature.. not a fan other than that the food is great!
Rosalina is one of my favorite restaurants for the food. The tables and comfort level however leave something to be desired. The long banquette on the wall that most couples have to sit at is so cramped that the tables need to be moved just to allow the person to get by every single time. There was only 4 inches of space on either side between us and the other tables. It’s impossible to have any type of conversation without the people around you being involved. One less table on that bench would make a more appropriate amount of space.
Always look forward to a trip to Providence and Rosealina's. The food is always great, as is the service. I would suggest that the winter is not the best time, as the front door opens often, leaving diners shivering at their tables. They need to do something to fix that problem
Great food and beverages. Nicely decorated for Christmas!
Food, service, ambience were all outstanding. Most notable was the valet parking. We were attending a performance at PPAC and our valet let us park our car the the entire evening. When we left with our leftovers, he delivered them to our car so we didn't have to worry about how to get them to the car before leaving for the performance. The food was great and the brussels sprout salad was to die for. We ended up returning to Rosalina's after the PPAC performance for drinks and desserts. We decided we wanted to make this an annual outing. Great Job Rosalina's.
Great place, great meal! Helpful staff.Best caprese ever. We will return. Right near Trinity Rep. VIP card acceptance? Jim Beam?
My first ever negative food review ...
Food was basic, and served cold. Waiter pushed the ravioli with meatballs, which tasted about as good as something you would get out of a microwave dinner. No flavor. No texture. Three big watery cheese ravioli with a pink sauce and mushy meatballs. And was served cold.
Menu was not that interesting in general. Waiter tried to push the cold calamari salad, and then when we asked if there was a good hot appetizer (it was 20 degrees outside), he pushed the antipasto.
Waiter seemed put off by any questions. He brought out the wrong dish for someone, who questioned it, and then he assured them they were wrong.
Waiter was pushy, impatient and condescending. When he was asked about what a dish was served with, he talked down to the person asking. He said it was served with pasta, and then added, "you know, like noodles?" in a nasty tone.
The ambience was excellent, and I've been happy with lunch here before (about four years ago), but given the abundance of incredible Italian restaurants in the area, why come back?
I liked this place overall. The service was outstanding, we reserved a table for 9:30 but our show got out late and they were more than happy to accommodate us being late. The menu was a little pricey for what was offered but the wines were great. It was also noted the seem to use red pepper or green Chile in EVERYTHING so things we didn’t anticipate to be spicy like Shrimp Scampi or the butter that came with the bread were actually a bit spicy. Overall I would go back here for a special occasion or to woo someone on a date or something
Our first time here and we will definitely return. Lovely small, intimate restaurant with fabulous food, great service and reasonable prices. It is a neighborhood gem and I highly recommend it.
We had a positive experience overall. My meal was too spicy (Buccatini gamberi - shrimp dish), which was not indicated in the menu; if it had been, I would have ordered something else. Neither I nor my daughter, who ordered the same meal, were able to eat much of our meals!
Great for date night
Fantastic from start to finish!
We got sajuiizjkmmmj. Hungriiiiiijbnnhnjnjijuuziziy ikii
Excellent food. Very popular so it can get a bit noisy and difficult to talk.
From the way they handled a birthday occasion to food and service, all was outstanding.
Great Italian food. It was decorated very nicely for the holidays. Our waitress spoke very fast, and was almost too attentive. We felt a bit rushed, and like the other reviews, seating was very cramped. We could just about hear the waitress when she told us about desserts...we ordered their waffle dessert, but after a few minutes she came back to the table to tell us they were our of waffles. Firstly, the kitchen, which looked very well staffed, could not make a homemade waffle, and two, shouldn't she have know that before tell us the dessert choices?
My mom and I ate at Rosalina before the PPAC show last Saturday. We have season tickets and Rosalina had no reservations available for our last show so I booked way in advance (in September). We both enjoyed the Satin Doll cocktail. My mom had a chip in her glass and the server promptly replaced her drink. She had a shrimp dish and she was not thrilled she had to de-tale/leg the shrimp, but she said it was delicious. I had the squid ink pasta with crab meat which I had before and it was delicious. We shared an ice cream truffle for desert, which was perfect for our chocoholic selves. We were seated at a small table along the wall and the seating was rather crowded. They ended up removing one table, which made us more comfortable. It was definitely a "cozy" experience. Our "neighbors" were also heading to the PPAC for Anastasia and everyone seemed to have a pleasant attitude so the cramped arrangement was not too much of a problem. The volume was rather loud as well. I have been to Rosalina at other points of the day and it was much quieter, more relaxing. My mom and I agreed that the great food and proximity to the theater make dinner at Rosalina worth it, even if it is louder and more crowded than usual before a PPAC show. Oh! And the Christmas decorations are lovely!
Service was great. We got the round table we requested. The food was amazing and the wine and cocktails too! A great place to gather with friends to celebrate a special occasion or to have a quiet dinner.
Bar staff especially Desiree makes the visit very enjoyable
Food, drinks, service all outstanding. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars was that every time the door opened it was so co,d! And we were seated all the way in the back by the kitchen.
