The food was excellent however service was not good. We had a reservation and weren't seated for 20 mins (the restaurant was not busy). Our server wasn't very tentative. Would not recommend dine in but perhaps take out.
Service was really good the drinks where on point. My date enjoyed the restaurant
Delicious Queso Fundido! Great Margaritas, Spicy enchiladas and an energetic crowd. A little expensive but always good. Great service.
We had a great birthday meal here. It's a great change of pace to be in such a large and spacious restaurant in NYC. Wait staff was super friendly and quick. Drinks were great. Guac is made in front of you and very delicious. They have some interesting dishes too, not just tacos and burrito's. Would definitely suggest this place for a large group meal. If you are just 2, ask to be seated in the front room.
I always bring my out of town friends here and they love it - the table side guacamole making always blows them away!
The bussers were incredibly rude. At the end of our meal they gave us dirty looks and eventually took everything off of our table.
I've said it before and I'll say it again: Rosa Mexicano is our go-to restaurant in the Union Square neighborhood. It never disappoints, from its cordial service, creative dishes, delicious food, and--if you come for a late lunch, you'll have a couple of hours during which the restaurant is uncrowded, and you can have quiet conversation at a table in the corner. Try to find that anywhere else!
Service was amazing. Thank you again.
Food is delicious as always. This location is more spacious than the other locations. The server was outstanding, attentive and quick. For Valentine's day they had a special menu and we ordered the Mar y Tierra. The chips and guacamole is always a great starter. They refill the chips if you need.
Took my girlfriend out on a date, man must I say the $90 was worth it!
Place was hopping and we were seated right away, server was attentive and food was great!
Had the best time, food and service incredible. Thank you for a great experience:)
We arrived and we're seated promptly. As always, the table side guacamole was great! We enjoyed Chile Poblano Rellenos and Tres Enchiladas along with multiple margaritas. The service, food and drinks were all fantastic. Rosa Mexicano never disappoints!
We had to wait a long time despite having reservation
It was a birthday celebration for two and Rosa’s at Union Square is her favorite. The food was delicious, the margaritas were excellent and the staff was great. We really enjoy the atmosphere.
This was a great night out. The vibe of the place is cool, nice but not over the top. The service was quick, but they didn't rush us. Most of all the food was very good. Highly recommend!
It was good but we used to love Rosa more a while back! They have changed the vegetarian options. We used to leave the Enchilada's Rancheras but they don't taste as good anymore.
Also, we got a double guacamole for our group of 4 and although it tasted amazing, it was $30 which I find to be too much for a guacamole!
Despite it being a chain restaurant, Rosa Mexicano delivers
Pomegranate margaritas are "dangerously" good! (1 & 1/2) is too much for an "older" lady like me! Guacamole is always great!
The experience was a bit mixed. The food was wonderful, as I've come to expect from Rosa Mexicano. Our waiter was also very personable and friendly. We just found that there were gaps in service. I had to go out of my way and try to flag down our waiter to get the check for instance. The busing was good... I really think it was just a disconnect with the waiter.
I would definitely still recommend, and wouldn't be surprised if others say that was not their experience. I am entirely ready to go back.
Came here for restaurant week. Reservation was for 6PM so the place was semi-crowded. The hostess(es) were extremely friendly and we were seated right away. I love the ambiance of this restaurant. I was here with a friend for restaurant week and was looking for good authentic Mexican food - which his what we got. The food was great; no complaints (they made it to our liking (leaving the toppings on the side for us to put on our food). Our waiter was fantastic. What I found so refreshing was that even though the restaurant did get crowded, I never felt rushed and they didn't bring out the entrees before we even finished our appetizers; too many restaurants do this. I will definitely be coming back here to try other meals from their menu.
We all had a lovely experience. My dish was incredibly spicy especially the peppers. Little disappointed in the salsa. Lacked flavor and not chunky. Chips could have been warmer and guacamole was good but not spicy enough for medium. They did provide extra jalapeños. All in all excellent
Carnita pork a little dry.
Rosa Mexicana is my go to place in New York for Mexican food. Awesome guacamole, potent pomegranate margaritas, and delicious entrees make for a fun dining experience.
Rosa Mexicano goes out of its way to make you comfortable so that even though the space is large it feels like a neighborhood restaurant. At today's meal I particularly like the fact that they brought me three interesting hot sauces when I asked for one.
The food, service, and atmosphere were great. I would definitely recommend.
The service to be seated was terrible even though we arrived five minutes before our reservation we were continually passed by as other groups of our party's size who arrived after were seated. However once seated our service was good.
Food was average. Place was too noisy. Service was harried. We will not go back there again.
The front desk was pathetic. Had to wait 45 minutes for the table beyond our reservation. Management was poor. The service was good and food is OK.
Ambiance was nice, music was just right but the steak made well done was burnt and the desert tasted of refrigerator. Gauc was amazing.
