Room is cavernous and loud. Didn't much enjoy my meal. My date complained that the women's room was filthy.
Everything was great! Will be back!
Delicious food and drinks, great service and lovely atmosphere. I highly recommend it.
Great food and extra friendly service.
It’s a Mexican Restaurant and they played Cuban music all night. Not a single Mexican song. We went there to celebrate México’s Independence Day, they didn’t even know it was that they
Great food and service
Had a great time. Sat outside. Great food and service.
Nice to be back! Hard not to Have a good meal and time.
Loved the great food, vibe and service. Excellent location for celebrations. The frozen margaritas were delicious and salted just right.
We were seated in your back dining room (I have been many times and never was placed there before) and it was such a different experience. I felt like i was out with all these 20 year olds and it felt like a cafeteria. Then going to the bathrooms from that location, the stairs are VERY DARK and I fell and sprained my ankle and two waiters literally walked over me while I had fallen on all fours and I had to go to the doctors and I’m in a brace/cast:boot thingy. That was a bummer bc the food and waitress were both AMAZING. Just wish you guys were a bit more helpful.
Food was rushed with plates removed while others still eating.
Everything was really good. I just thought that a picture of sangria was a little expensive. The cost was $45.
Food was amazing . Staff was friendly and very knowledgeable of menu.
Great atmosphere and great food!
Great food, atmosphere and a wonderful setting! Definite recommend!
Very good food. Servers were serious - maybe concerned about COVID or tired of wearing masks? I felt bad for them.
The staff was extremely friendly and serviced the table well.
Menu is a bit different. Used to have more appetizers or small bites , like tacos and quesadillas, now they come as a dinner. Food is tasty but very pricey for portions.
Drinks were mostly ice.
The 3% covid fee is absurd.
I’m not sure what happened to Rosa Mexicano but they seem to have changed their recipes around and the food just isn’t as good as it ha been. They no longer make guacamole in front of you and it just didn’t taste as food. The chips had a weird taste as well. My main course was made with a different sauce then it had been made with previously and it just wasn’t as good. They now charge for rice and beans which was free a year ago. I miss the old days when they would even give 3 salsas with the chips for free which they also no longer do!
Then at the end they add on a covid charge which I just find obnoxious. We all suffered financially from covid and this is already an expensive restaurant to start with.
This ‘was’ by far my fav restaurant in NYC until yesterday. I am a frequent patron since it opened in this location The old woman at the receiving desk had the worst manners I’ve encountered in recent years. Her tone and body languagewere both cold and indifferent to me. I did not stay for dinner.
Great food and extra friendly service.
We have dined at Rosa Mexicano several times, pre pandemic, and have always enjoyed our experience. This particular evening the food was adequate, but our server was below expectations. He never told us the specials, and never checked in with us. He spent most of his time socializing with his coworkers. We constantly had to find him if we needed anything.
We like to come here for brunch and this time the food just wasn’t worth what we paid. Our server was great but the place itself is just not what it used to be.
During my visit here for a Saturday brunch, the restaurant was really crowded and understaffed. The service was slow and the food was just average. The drinks were pretty tasty though!
We went on a Friday night and the place was PACKED. Ordered from the three-course menu (a great deal at $39). There were at least eight parties of 10 or more around us, so we had to shout to hear each other. But the waitstaff was awesome and we got our food in a timely manner. The appetizer (a riff on shrimp cocktail) was yummy. Surf-and-turf entree was served in a heavy guacamole vessel—strange, but tasty. Dessert was the show-stealer—banana cream pie with caramel sauce. So creamy and delish. An overall decent experience, but I’ll go earlier in the week next time.
Great place to go with a group. The pitchers of Margaritas got successively stronger with each one. Great guacamole. The cod was delicious. Would not order the salmon again. Not bad, not great. We ordered two desserts to share, but the waiter only brought two spoons. Service could have been a bit more attentive.
Nice ambiance and friendly efficient staff. We enjoyed our meal.
The waiter was incredible! My father forgot his trying glasses and the waiter offered his. Everyone was very attentive and the food was delicious!
It was delicious food, but very small quantity. Extremely crowded and loud, but it was a Saturday night. Service wasn’t the best. We never got a water refill or had our plates or dishes cleared until after we paid the check and left.
outstanding menue, service, and location. worth the trip to this location
Great service, ambiance was good but noise level was too high. Background music could have been better, the loud industrial sound and same beat repeated over n over was mind numbing.. u guys can do better in this regard.. service was very good 👍
Food and service were very good. Drinks were weak.
I reserved an outdoor table but once arrived there was no table available outside. They said they only reserve indoor, after some debate they found a table outdoor.
We love the place. We go there everytime visiting NYC.
The food, service and ambience were wonderful. The guacamole was great. Grilled octopus ceviche was delicious. It felt so nice to be back and experience indoor dining. There was plenty of outdoor seating for people who aren't ready to dine inside yet. The staff wore masks and followed COVID protocols.
The food was good but the service was very slow.
The food was very good, as usual for Rosa. We would like to note that our server was superb.
The food is delicious and I love the location the space is huge and very comfortable. Service is great and everyone is pleasant and smiling. You won't regret Rosa Mexicano for brunch or any other meal.
Food and portions were excellent. Hector, our server was very attentive and met all of our requests.
We were celebrating a birthday. Great service and good food. Nice margaritas
The food the best guacamole & chips!!
The ambiance was great, it was very nicely decorated, and the waitress was superb.
