    Use to be the best Mexican in town now just like every place else. Reception-they could have cared less if we were there-bordering on rude. Dark, bit loud, tables crammed together in one big room. Service friendly but had to wait during stretches a bit too long. Food was good but not great. Price a little expensive. Better choices available. Would not return.

    Horrible experience. From the moment we were seated the waiter rushed us for decisions and staff repeatedly tried to clear plates before we finished. 45 minutes after being seated for dinner our waiter informed us that they had a reservation and needed the table. I politely informed him that we too had made a reservation. 5 minutes later a manager came to the table and shouted at us that they needed the table and needed us to leave. He literally ran off before we could even reply. At this point we had been at the table 50 minutes! We have been to Rosa Mexicano many times in the past but will not be back. We had planned this dinner to be a wonderful holiday catch up with a friend. Instead, it was utter chaos with incredibly rude service and low quality food.

    Great food. Tacos were amazing. Service was just ok. Had to ask for drink refills. Never got guac we ordered. Would eat there again though.

    The food is fantastic, the only problem is that since it is very big restaurant, the service is a bit slow and they made a couple of mistakes, such as they forgot to bring my daughter’s meal and we ordered chicken they served schrimp.

    I am very disappointed with the service here. We weren’t acknowledged at the door. I had to ask repeatedly for items, for another drink, and my friend never received part of her order. We ordered guacamole and chips and that took much too long to come out. Finally, the server came out with a bowl and said he made it himself. Don’t they usually do this at the table and give fresh chips? We didn’t receive any. Food is always good here but service was lacking big time.

    I have wanted to come here for a long time, but was not really impressed. The server was trying to upsell every order, a friend who asked for gluten free options was brought battered fish and the waiter seemed to have no idea that batter= gluten. The biggest entree was the salad I ordered. The tacos are very small and come without any sides so my friends ended up getting food elsewhere afterwards as they were hangry. I wanted to love it, but only recommend if you are coming with a small appetite and cash to burn.

    At first things were great. We were a party of 7 - four adults and 3 kids ages 9,9 and 6. We ordered drinks and had our appetizer - all good. Entrees come, first bite I get a mouthful of hair. We flag down a waiter - not ours - who takes the dish back to the kitchen. One of the kids orders a lemonade (her second). When it comes back - it looked a little off - very opaque. She takes a sip and almost chokes on it. I taste it - I almost choke on it - it is PURE LEMON JUICE CONCENTRATE. We flag down our waiter who now seems very annoyed with us and he takes the drink and a min later comes back with a replacement. Again super cloudy and AGAIN PURE LEMON JUICE CONCENTRATE but now it has a hint of cucumber flavor - like they dumped the original glass of lemonade into a dirty glass that had a cucumber based drink it it. Meanwhile, my daughter (9) takes a bite of her taco - she almost chokes because she got a mouthful of hot pepper - inedible. At this point my food still hasn't come. The other adults were waiting for me and their food has gone cold. When my food comes, no one even wants to eat anymore. Terrible experience all around.

    The tacos are tiny, the service is slow and the noise is too high. We had a reservation for 3 people and we were given a table all the way to the back of the restaurant next to the kitchen entrance, when we asked our waiter if we could be moved to another table, the general manager came and said there were no other tables available. However, for our entire meal, there was a table at a better location that never got occupied. Also the manager had a bad attitude. The food is mediocre at best.

    How can there be no wifi in 2023? I asked the server several times and he didn't pay any attention to my request. The food was ok, a mile away from the best. All the sauces were rich in sugar and salt. Won't be back again, would encourage others to look elsewhere as well.

    Wasn't impressed this time with the food or the service. Plenty of tables available but they chose to sit us in a busy aisle. When I asked if we could move to one of the empty tables they just said... no. No explanation just no. The guac was good but everything else was served semi-warm and didn't taste like I remember from many other visits. Sad to say we won't be back. It's been a favorite of ours for years but it's not worth the money.

    Always a great experience dining at one of these restaurants. The food is great as were the drinks. However this is the 2nd time my notes to the restaurant were ignored. This time we were actually celebrating the birthday of a young lady from Mexico. I wrote that on my reservation, including her name. I also reminded the hostess. Presented me with the bill without even asking if we wanted dessert or coffee. I had to go over to someone to ask for this to be fine. Otherwise great place

    It was extremely loud in the back room were we were seated, could not have a conversation due to very loud music in an enclosed space. We left without dessert because we just wanted to go outside.

    I haven't eaten here since pre-pandemic, and I understand the restaurant business has gotten expensive with everyone else. Rosa Mexicano has historically always been a solid go to meal. But last night the tacos were good, but that's were it stops. We ordered chicken tenders for our son and they were burnt. The guac, is rip off, hardly any avocado and a lot of cheap filler, and OVER SALTED. It will likely be a long time before we dine here again.

    We eat at this restaurant often, mostly at the Lincoln Center branch. Excellent food, moderate prices and they are very good at accommodating my Celiac 13 year old granddaughter with truly gluten free options.

    What a great place to celebrate a birthay with a large group in NYC. The food was delicious. Stand out menu items were the guava marg pitchers, empanadas, guac and churros. The birthday song including candles and a pink sombrero made for a fun ending to the night and a great photo opportunity. (Added bonus-street parking right out front after 7pm!)

    Worst experience here ever. Server kept forgetting to bring things, food sent out haphazardly and without gaps, drinks including margaritas and Palomas way too sweet, and food meh. Don’t think we’ll be back.

    I've been here several times and usually like it very much but the last two times the waiter was working too hard to upsell everything. And while we ordered a pitcher of margaritas (not frozen) I doubt that there was even any alcohol in it. It's probably for the best but I don't think I'll be back. I'm bummed, this was my go-to place for the last year. I guess it's good to find somewhere new.

    We took the family out and enjoyed the whole meal. The margarita selection is amazing. The table side guacamole was absolutely delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meals and Eduardo gave truly excellent service. I only wish we had saved room for dessert. Next time!
