About Rosa Mexicano - South Beach
Our newest Miami restaurant is located in the heart of South Beach in Miami at 1111 Lincoln Road in the architecturally striking new Herzog & de Meuron-designed building. Rosa Mexicano delivers authentic Mexican cooking in an accessible, stylishly festive atmosphere. Rosa Mexicano's menu features a range of award-winning signature dishes, including our Guacamole en Molcajete, in a traditional lava rock mortar. Described by Time Out New York as "green ecstasy in a stone bowl," it is prepared table side and served with house made chips, warm corn tortillas and condiment salsas. Rosa Mexicano is also known for the Frozen Pomegranate Margarita. For this vibrant city we’ve created a welcoming contemporary design, featuring a casually chic dining room with floor to ceiling windows and a travertine bar. Our patio area provides the perfect spot for al fresco dining and people watching.

Rosa Mexicano - South Beach Ratings and Reviews
The server brought our food before our drinks, apparently out of the wine I ordered. Instead of telling me he went across the street to buy a bottle and by the time he returned we already had our food. Not a relaxing evening. But the worst part of the evening were the two mothers and three children who were climbing the furniture, throw a ball and running around the restaurant. Neither the two mothers nor the staff nor management did anything to control the situation. It was unpleasant for all of the diners.
Second time at this location, love the Guacamole along with the enchiladas very flavorful and the margaritas same. Always nice to have attentive service by a pleasant young lady with glasses and surprised to receive a phone call the second day from management asking about the dinning experience. Side note , grandpa loved the sombrero hat we will be back next year for his birthday
Whenever we are in South Beach, we always go to Rosa Mexicano. I️ have Celiac, so I️ always am nervous eating out. This restaurant is great for Celiacs! We had the Happy Hour first, then ate dinner. It was a delicious meal and the most important thing was I️ did not get sick afterwards!
The food and service were excellent. We returned twice during our trip to Miami. I recommend the carnitas and the sopa de tortilla. The tortilla chips and salsa were the best I've had at any Mexican restaurant. If you are overwhelmed by the dining choices in Miami, definitely check out Rosa Mexicano-South Beach for a guaranteed great meal and very friendly service. They even have brunch!
The food was good but the service took way too long considering there wasn't a lot of people. My friend and I sat with empty drinks all the way up until we were finally able to ask for the check. Our waitress never came around between the time of ordering and when we were totally done eating. It's a bit overpriced for what you get. I like the place, but only go once in a while because one small drink sets you back $13.
The positives - Rosa Mexicano has great food and beverages. My group and I enjoyed the empanadas and enchiladas.
The negatives - The service was slow and inattentive. Our waitress did not come after our food was served to check if the meal was good or to ask if we wanted the check post finishing our meal. We had to request 30min after finishing our meal at front desk if we could receive our check. Our reservation was on a Monday early dinner time, hence the place was barely a 1/4th full. For the timing and price of the dishes I would expect better service.
Note - I noted to the restaurant on the Opentable reservation that the reservation was for a BIRTHDAY and the service was still mediocre, could only imagine how slow it would have been if that was never stated...
We have dined here at least once every six months when together here. It is our anniversary and other occasions go to place. We have always in the past been treated so well- recognizing the servers and managers over the past 3 years.
Tonight was the exception. First, open table continues to print a special message which I have tried to delete with every reservation. It prompts a phone call from restaurant which is not welcome. Second, we had a waitress who was completely distracted by conversations with colleagues and / or bar patrons. She brought incorrect drink to my partner and we had to Twix ask another employee to find her to request something.
Finally, unlike previous visits to this property where the manager visited our table to welcome us as VIP guests, there was no visit nor offer of dessert etc
We regret that we will not return to that property again.
Service was not good, we arrived 1.5 hours prior to closing time on a Monday night, they said they can't seat anyone anymore because the kitchen is backed up, even though there were only a few tables. We made a reservation and came back, were seated this time. Food was slow to arrive as well, average taste. They were out of many menu items.
We love the gluten free options for my husband and the fresh guacamole($14!). The arrachera was delicious but the $28 price a bit high. But the service was very spotty and my mushroom tacos were not good at all. If that were my first time I'd never be back.
