We had a great experience at Rosa's. We went for the Happy Hour and found an itty-bitty table for the three of us, but when a party of 2 left a larger table, Metadel came over and asked us if we wanted a larger table. She bussed it quickly and had us set up in no time. Made us feel cared for! And she took good care of us for the rest of our time there. All her recommendations were spot-on.
Then the food: Cantina Tacos de REs (beef brisket tacos) were fabulous! Cantina Flautas (chicken flautas) were also delicious. The Cantina Taco de Carnitas (pork) was too salty for me, but the guys loved it. We all agreed that the Guacamole made right there was excellent. We all enjoyed the house margaritas to wash all this down and had a great time.
Excellent food & service. Lovely view of Potomac.
For the third time, i was incredibly disappointed in this restaurant location I do not live in area, and have had the pleasure of dining at restaurant in other cities The restaurant cleanliness and food quality were horrible and the service was mediocre at best
I sure hope this is not the direction this restaurant is going in all locations— as you have always done it so well
This location needs some serious help, unless it is just acceptable for the tourist they may serve
Don't be late. We were 15 min late for open table reservation and had to wait another 40 min to sit. Food, bar, and table service however was very good.
Our waitress was excellent!! Food was amazing as always!!
Amazing food. So impressed. Would recommend the cheese dip. Wil definitely go back.
one of my families fave restaurants. we are never disappointed - can't wait to return
We love Rosa's. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and even better food. The view on to the Potomac River is stellar. The staff does a great job of being helpful, kind and responsive. Definitely recommend checking them out.
By far the best customer service national harbor has to offer. I have been to national harbor two times and this place has alot to learn about customer service. Oscar at rosa mexicano did a great job.
Great service, great food- slight wait
The prices were a little high, considering the portions. They forgot 2 of the entrees, in which we waited another 20 minutes for. The waitress was very apologetic and took a couple of items off of our check. They need to have more staff when the restaurant is busy.
We decided to go here last minute. Hostess was very nice and accommodated us even though we were 15 minutes late and place was pretty crowded. Service was excellent and drinks were really good. Food was mediocre compared to the price.
We had a lovely time and my friends that came it was their first time. They thought the food was amazing and the service was excellent.
Picked this restaurant to celebrate a birthday in a festive environment that was beyond the standard chain Mexican food restaurant. It was a disappointment. The environment had a good energy but the restaurant was littered with chips all over the carpeted floor. It made the place feel unkempt and dirty -- which it was. The service reflected that it was built for the tourist "trapped on the island" and they didn't expect to see me again. It was functionary at best. The food was fine ... not bad, but nothing that was memorable, expect for the price. I've dined at the Rosa downtown and had a much more enjoyable experience and was expecting same at this location. It did not meet my expectations.
Atmosphere was great, food was delicious, service was very friendly and efficient and the view was amazing
Excellent as always!
Great restaurant, great service. Food is very good and they are very attentive. Quality restaurant.
The food and the margaritas were fantastic. The tableside guacamole was outstanding! Thank you!
Our experience was 'ok.' 1: My husband observed an employee leave the bathroom without washing his hands. Ew. 2. When I requested my child's chicken tacos leave out the cheese, I was told that couldn't happen. However, when we received the dish it was obvious the cheese could have been omitted and we could have all been spared a toddler meltdown. 3. The guac was great. You could probably just get that and be happy. At least our food came out quickly and we had a reservation so we didn't have to wait. Disappointed to spend $100 on a 'meh' lunch.
I noted that it was my daughters birthday but nothing was ever said. Plus we were seated in a terribly noisy room with obnoxious children
Was immediately seated by the window had fresh guacamole made by a server and service was excellent will definitely be back.
The chips and salsa were delicious and the guacamole did not disappoint. The carne asada was the table favorite. Drinks are expensive ($13/tumbler of margarita), but good!
Great meal. Try the Carnitas!
Reliably good food that is fresh and innovative. And those pomegranate margaritas!
Had a great team building lunch.
They gave us a beeper that was dead so our wait was 30 min when we didn’t respond to being called.
Guacamole was delicious. My fish tacos were cooked perfect...lightly fried fish over a yummy, tangy slaw.
We chose this restaurant based on decent Open Table reviews. But we were very disappointed. Quite frankly we've had better food from food trucks. The salmon dinner was just OK. The pork dish was, oddly enough, mostly just a large hunk of meat. The $15.00 shrimp quesadilla was a HUGE disappointment. The tortilla was dry and there were only about 2 tiny little shrimp in each of the four small segments. It was just some cheese with a few tiny shrimp sprinkled on. It was accompanied by about a tablespoon of pico ... no sour cream or quacamole.
This restaurant is taking advantage of the tourists to the harbor who want a nice view of the water and wheel.
We love this place. Food isn't "authentic" but it's a fancified version of Mexican food. It's different but as long as you're not expecting your local hole-the-wall authentic fare, it's still super delicious. Very loud on a Saturday night but restaurant is nicely decorated and clean. Guac and margaritas were extra delicious. Be prepared to spend money as it's not inexpensive. Would not bring my kid here (would be a waste of money on him).
The wait staff was incredibly attentive! The guacamole superb! So fresh!!! The margarita was wonderful. The food was tasty. The ONLY negative for me was that it was very dark. I could not see the menu in front of me without using the flashlight on my phone (and no, I’m not old and I don’t have vision problems).
Definitely recommend!
Excellent table side quacamole
Had a great meal, as usual, at Rosa. Originally our favorite spot in NYC and thankfully now an outpost in DC area. Best table side guacamole and authentic Mexican food.
Don't miss it.
Rosa is a DC area fixture, and never really disappoints. The food and decor are great for a nice, authentic Mexican experience. Also, a good value for this area, as the average meal with a drink cam be had for under $50.
Food was fresh and delicious but the made at your table guacamole was outstanding!!
The guacamole was awesome. The food is an upper scale Mexican. Over all it was good. It was a change from basic Mexican chain Restaurants.
Fantastic authentic Mexican cuisine! Table-side guacamole is a must! Would be a good choice for lunch or dinner for any occasion. Atmosphere is very authentic.
The entire staff was so pleasant and accommodating. Great fun to have the guacamole made table side.
Very happy and pleased about my experience here. Needs more shrimp dishes on menu.
It was a great visit. As soon as my fiance and I arrived, we were seated. By using the app, we bypassed several groups of people that were waiting to be seated.
Normally love this place but felt rushed during our last visit. Almost like we were just tourists they were moving through and didn’t care about because they’d never see us again. Food was ok - although fundido was delicious. Overall just a bleh experience. Disappointing.
