Rosa Mexicano - National Harbor

I thought the food was good, especially the made-at-the table guacamole and the carne asada. I had the Alambre DelMar Maricos that had 3 shrimps and 2 scallops with lots of white rice for $29. The sauce was supposed to come on the side (waitress offered due to my inability to have spicy ) but then forgot. She also didn't mention that their were roasted jalapenos on the plate. Very ho hum part of the meal.
Margaritas were excellent as well as the selection of wines. Great, but noisy location, lighting could be a tad higher to read the menues.
It was convenient to other activities at National Harbor. Overall, I thought the food was overpriced for what you got.
Our meals were delivered late and were either undercooked or over cooked. Service needs improvement. Very difficult to get waiters attention
Best guacamole ever
We had a very enjoyable evening. We sat outside and were able to hear the Sunset concert. The dinner was excellent. However, the guacamole was a bit over rated for the price.
The service wasn’t that good. It wasn’t horrible, but the staff wasn’t very attentive. We sat outside and perhaps that was the reason, but I don’t want that to be an excuse. The large table next to us was celebrating a birthday and we wanted to buy the birthday girl a drink. The waitress actually talked us out of it. The food was excellent. The margaritas were fantastic. I didn’t like the wine and they didn’t offer samples, but they did take one of the glasses off the bill. Overall it was a very good evening.
Did not like the fact that the check in person stop checking me in to help a group check in who can in after me!
Our server simply did not care. I don’t understand why bother showing up to work.
Seated quickly even though it was very crowded. Table was excellent by the window. Service, as always, was great!
Food was horrible, but the drinks and service was very good.
Very accommodating with a baby and small child
The drinks were overpriced and the food was just okay.
Excellent food. Carne Asada entree was fantastic. We were disappointed that we couldn't eat outside on a gorgeous evening at 4:45pm because there was not enough waitstaff even though there were empty seats. That was a disappointment but otherwise an absolutely fantastic meal.
We went here for my girlfriends’ bday and loved it. We all had nothing but nice things to say. Food, service, drinks, ambiance, all of it was on point! We will be visiting again, soon!!! Thank you for the wonderful experience!
Keep in mind that this is a bustling location, so if you have kids in your party consider how long they can wait for food. Despite having a reservation, we had to wait for our table, not because there were no empty tables, but because the empty tables had not been bussed and cleaned and the staff seemed to have a tough time finding someone to do it. Once seated, our server seemed to be doing his best, but he doesn’t control the pace of the kitchen. It took 20 minutes to receive our kids’ lemonade, and just as long for the one appetizer we ordered. We brought our concerns to the manager, who followed up on the status of our entree’s and made sure they appeared. He did his best, but the kitchen just seemed to have difficulty with timing.
Outside eating was great! Very good food & drinks
The food and guac is always a hit! The drinks are great too. Unfortunately, our booth tabletop was sticky and no matter how many times our server wiped it down, it remained sticky (as in, menus, silverware, and my blouse sleeve kept sticking to it -- so odd!) I ended up using a cloth napkin at a placemat of sorts to keep from sticking to it. The server was great and kept checking back with us as we leisurely place our entree orders and caught up on old times.
Fantastic dining experience!
The food was delicious, as usual. The waiter was great, very very nice, he was quick to refill our water glasses, checking in on us without overdoing it. The food was delicious, the guacamole is the best around. The place was packed when we got there but we were still helped quickly, so the staff is very efficient. It was a great experience all around.
Server was friendly and attentive. Food was delicious. Atmosphere is lovely. High ceilings and wide aisles. Decor is warm and pretty.
Love Rosa Mexicano! We were there for four hours on Friday evening, enjoying great food, great drinks and a beautiful view. What a great time!
As expected. Table side guacamole is our fav!
Good Fresh food, great service. Best place to eat on the Harbor.
I ordered a dish that was too spicy and the waiter took it back no problem. Then the manager came over to apologize. Of course they had no way of knowing it was too spicy. I’m the one that ordered it. But they were very nice and Uber professional and I really appreciated that. I never write reviews unless I’m impressed with something.
2nd time here! Everything was great! Guacamole dip is amazing!
Pretty good experience. Most of us ordered quesadillas and some were made bigger than others. Kind of pricey but worth it. The waiters are friendly and helpful.
The good is delicious and I recommend the table side guacamole.
I had given up on Rosa Mexicano after several bad experiences at the downtown DC location. But my family wanted to go to the Harbour location, so I relented. I don’t regret it! The enchiladas suizas were hot and flavorful, the guacamole was perfect, and the sangria was refreshing! Rosa Mexicano was the highlight of our evening. The DC location could learn something from them.
Service was slow, food so, so.
The food was ice cold. Sent back to kitchen and returned just as cold - only this time swimming in extra sauce. They don’t have a clue...
Service was poor, food was outstanding
Th food is always good. Service was quick & the staff was very friendly.
Good food but spicy. Almost everything we ordered had some kick to it.
I am very disappointed by the service I received while dining tonight at Rosa Mexicano. I come here often with friends and tonight was supposed to be a special night for my boyfriend. It was his birthday and we were dining with friends he hadn’t seen in years.
Our reservations were for 7:15pm, but we called to let you guys know that we were running late. We arrived at 7:25 and were seated within 5 minutes.
It took about 20 minutes before a waiter came to take our drink order, almost another 20 before we got drinks. An hour into our visit, our waiter finally came to take our dinner order. Dinner arrived 30 minutes later.
We rarely saw our waiter. I asked for some napkins from another waiter and it seemed as if it was a huge inconvenience.
Having worked in the service industry myself for 12 years, I understand when restaurants get slammed, but from what I saw, it didn’t seem as if it was too busy, but maybe short staffed and mismanaged. Not once did a manager come over to check on us.
It will be a long time before I come give Rosa Mexicano another go. Very disappointed.
I went for brunch. The food was just okay. I would not recommend the brunch to anyone. Brunch was not a good experience for me. The silverware and the plates were not clean. I had the ask someone to wipe down the seats in the booth that we sat b/c they had food and crumbs in the seat. I ordered a pomegranate margarita and the serve brought me a lime margarita. We had to ask the waiter to bring us additional salsa and chips. I usually sit in the bar area when I go there. I enjoy my experiences there.
Fantastic spot with great food.
Great location and decor but underwhelmed by food and service. Found out they they don’t reserve outside tables with Open Table so we were disappointed to not be seated outside. Host staff dismissive . $14 margaritas are so so. Overall a lot of money for a nice view of the River.
Love their guacamole fresh made
Food and drinks were very good but the prices are crazy!
Outstanding brunch in a excellent ambiance. Great attention from the server with good explanation of detail like dried pomegranate flower gently infusing color into the margarita. A number of excellent choices off the brunch menu but the Huevos Josefina were outstanding. Brilliantly colorful and artistic presentation of neat dish built on layers of perfectly crispy corn tortillas. quite diverse flavors with additional options of mild to hot salsa to build with as the dish was devoured. Only note to make is which margaritas are bottomless on the brunch menu - they push the premium margaritas and they are not covered.
