Bad and delayed service and very dry food
The service was terrible! It took more than 10 minutes for somebody to come to our table, which was dirty, by the way. Food was not good, the guacamole was not fresh (even getting dark!), and the meat was small for the price. The margarita was not even half full with lots of ice! Do not recommend at all, we had an overall bad experience!
Loved it! The churros were so sooo delicious. Our server Edner (I think that was his name) was just so kind, attentive and funny. Our time there was amazing and the food and drinks were perfect. I will be back!
Great place to go to people watch if seated outside, with great food and drinks. Have to try the frozen pomegranate margaritas!
Food wasn't what was advertised in their social media. Chiles en nogada where nothing like they should be. The sauce was thick and clumpy, and when I said something to the server, he sent it to the kitchen, and they sent me a new order and it was still pretty bad. It was also missing a main ingredient, they said because it wasnt available, but we werent told about it beforehand. A little heads up on this wouldve been great
Service was a little slow and intermittent but friendly and nice servers. Love food especially margaritas and mole. Wish we could sit near window to watch water and Ferris wheel but our booth was secluded so we actually could talk more. Alll around nice place - love National harbor environs
The booth was perfect for a first date
Bottomless brunch well worth it. The drinks were great, not watered down.
Food wasn’t as nice as the last time we went. We weren’t seated outside which was preferred due to covid. I didn’t see on the app that I booked the option to request outdoor seating. Online it said parking available but there wasn’t. Granted there were lots nearby but very stupidly priced.
Sat for 20 mins. , not even a glass of water. Went to hostess desk to ask for service, I had a reservation for 3 weeks. When a server came, we could not hear him because the noise level was soooo high. The food was good but went to another resturant for dessert.
Could not endure the noise level and poor service.
My best friend and I wanted to catch up and it was the perfect place. The food was great, service was great and the outdoor terrace was quiet and relaxing.
Food was mediocre at best. Service was lacking, and glasses on the table for water were dirty. I asked for chips and was told I couldn’t order without salsa. I stated to just charge me and bring chips and was told that wasn’t possible. I ended up with both, a waste in my book. I will not visit this location again.
The food was not good and the temperature was lukewarm.
Great service, great food. Highly recommended.
Waited 15 minutes to be acknowledged with water, and left after 30 minutes of never being waited on. So unfortunate, since I’ve heard great things about the place!
This used to be one of our favorite spots to eat out at. In recent months, the quality of food and a service has significantly diminished. The guacamole (our go-to starter) has been absent of any flavor or seasoning the past few times we’ve visited. The service was subpar. 5+ employees lingering around the hostess booth all while the waitstaff & bartenders struggle to keep up with the customers at their tables or bartop. It was about 45 minutes before we were able to finally put our order in. I miss the old Rosa. :/
Guacamole was the best. All other food ordered was mediocre and not worth the price. Also carpet near restroom was soaked and Took me a while to figure out why I was sliding out my shoes. On the way out restaurant, asked hostess for napkins so I could dry my feet off from the soaked carpet, seemed a bit peaved I asked and immediately disappeared. Trying a bit to hard to be upscale authentic Mexican but may fare better with sticking to good old Mexican fare.
Had a nice early brunch with a friend. Waiter was awesome, food was very good. Had a nice time before it got crowded
This was my second time at this restaurant and I remembered the food being excellent. Not sure what happened but not impressed. Everything tasted like it had been sitting on the counter for a while before it was served...pretty stale.
They were extremely understaffed. It took a very long time to get anyone to come to the table and take our orders and then for our food to arrive. Also the servers were not able to check on our table to see if we needed anything else. We asked menu questions that no one could answer. So the service really suffered. That being said, the food was very good. And we were told we only had the table for 90 minutes. Our meal took 3 hours. Thank goodness no one asked us to leave.
The service was terrible. The person walking us to our table left us in the middle of the restaurant without showing us to our table. When we finally were seated they didn’t give us a menu and when ordering the waiter kept saying we are out of that to almost everything. Also there were kids running around the restaurant.
Food wasn’t as impressive as it used to be.. server was very friendly but rushed and slow to check in.
The food has changed; It wasn't nearly as good as it use to be. Their guacamole was one of my favorites -- it is no longer. It seemed store bought, not their usual at all.
The bar was closed so limited drink selection and the outside wasn't available. All around disappointment. Maybe they were just having a bad night.
Rosa’s was still an enjoyable dinner experience. However, we were disappointed that their signature guacamole was no longer prepared table side. Also, the table top was extremely sticky! We used wipes to try to fix it but it remained sticky. Plates couldn’t be easily moved, glasses stuck to the table….very strange and a bit annoying. Perhaps some of the table tops need to be recoated.
Service was extremely slow and the wait staff forgot to bring various items ordered on two occasions.
Was sat down next to two large tables. They kept having to a add additional tables and seats lwhile the guests hovered around without masks. We ordered guacamole, was not told that because of Covid they could not do it table side. We were ok with it except the large tables were able to get the guacamole made table side and one if the guests bragged about having pull to get the guacamole made table side. I asked the manager about it and he was not apologetic and said it was a contract event thus they were able to get it table side guacamole made and they were paying way more than I was paying. So the take away is if you pay more —-COVID protocols do NOT matter. The contact event was not in a sepersu area or room and they were next to my table. I am not sure how this negates the Covid protocol.
Rude manager, not enforcing COVID-19 protocols/laws to make extra money!! No thank you!! This will be our last visit to ROSA MEXICANO.
Delicious food and drinks! Amazing views of the harbor!
I’ve been to this location quite a few times; however, this time was disappointing. There was a water leak throughout the entire restaurant on the floor. There was only 1 caution sign, which was a cause for a lawsuit because people were slipping and someone could’ve gotten seriously hurt. Additionally, a waitress/waiter did not come to our table for more than 15 minutes. Much respect to the manager as he took our order and served us. Also, the food was not tasteful at all. The manager compensated us by giving is guacamole on the house. Again, I’m disappointed with this experience because I actually like this restaurant. Sadly, I will not be returning to this location to dine.
Great outdoor seating that was covered from direct sunlight.
Third class quality food. Price is way to high for not tasty Mexican food
Meal was fine but restaurant seemed a little dirty. Carpet near entrance was soaking wet; table was sticky to the point plates and water stuck to it; and saw a tiny spider repelling from the light fixture over our table.
Our waitress Elimary great excellent no complaints here. The food excellent superb. Myself and husband and family would request for Elimary again . She was superb. Her service was great you. Thank Elimary.
Waitress was nice but took a very long time coming back to table to check if we needed something, for the check
Slow service for all the tables.
Restaurant was loud. Table was icky sticky. Service was slow and had to ask twice for silverware. Drink from bar was terrible. Food was okay. Saw employee leave bathroom without washing his hands.
Food was excellent. Other servers were willing to step in where my server fell short. :(
Good food, good views. Overall enjoyed everything. Thanks for a nice brunch!
Only real negative is men's room floor was so slippery I almost fell when I entered. Slick and no ventalation in men's room.
I picked this restaurant because of the great reviews for vegan options. My husband and I were highly disappointed. I wish I had taken pictures the food was so bad.
I ordered the vegan fajitas that came out on a hot plate (not the traditional skillet plates) that was not hot. The choice of veggies were grilled corn, cauliflower, pearl onions, collard greens!!!!!! Who eats collard greens on a tortilla shell?. Rice and beans are al a carte.
My husband ordered the vegan enchiladas and they were cold. The restaurant had an odor to it and was not very clean at all. Maybe at one point and time this was an upscale Mexican restaurant but not anymore.
The only thing half way decent was the service and the house chips. We will not return.
Children’s menu is separate and not on website- includes chicken fingers.
Guacamole, salsa and chips were EXCELLENT!!
Had three SPICY steak tacos with rice and beans. Very yummy and was appropriately warned by waiter of spicy.
Husband had carnitas and enjoyed them
