Great service. Seated on time. Great food. Great atmosphere.
Spicy guacamole is def a mist at Rosa’s. The frozen drinks are stronger than the regular drinks but they are all great. Salmon and Shrimp were amazing
It was a rainy day at National Harbor, but the food and ambience at Rosa Mexicano was warm and spicy. We started with some fresh table side guacamole and then ordered some wonderful steak and seafood dishes. Bottomless rice and beans with extra jalapeño on the side was filling. But we saved room for Flan though to end the night on a sweet note.
Great place, you have to try the table side guacamole, so good! Tasty cocktails too!
Attentive service and very tolerant of/not bothered by our slow, relaxed dining pace
Advised it was Birthday Dinner & met my wife (birthday) & family there after I parked the car.(slightly late). Table was poor for a reservation which requested window view, & NOTHING was done towards her special day! Although server was initially good, he failed to check w/us after meals were delivered (none of them hot). He found out later & mgr attempted resolution but frankly damage was done. In the end it took several attempts to obtain the ice cream for our granddaughter’s dessert as part of her order & she was upset, & once again damage done. This venue was my wife’s request but sadly won’t be again. Hard to recover the tone of the night, which ended badly. Although the mgr credited two of the meals (not mine because I ate it regardless of temp), that’s not why we complained. Guess this place is now off our return list.
We dined here on Sunday, September 2 and the temperature was ridiculously hot. It wasn’t a fun experience because of the temperature.
The place was so hot we were very uncomfortable. We were seated inside and the A/C just wasn’t working. Couldn’t wait to get out of there. Unfortunate because we came with 7 people and hoped to relax and have a good time. But we were all miserable. Food was good. Service fine.
Great food and excellent service. Was able to be seated before my reservation time.
Perfect location for people watching. Food was amazing as was the service and drinks. Highly recommended.
Probably the worst meal I've had in over 10 year. The waiter was super cool, but that was the only good thing about our experience. Otherwise, it was disgusting. The Shrimp we under cooked, and even if they had been cooked properly I could tell they were of extremely low quality. My wife got sick eating her meal. The meat on the Filet Mignon skewers was repulsive. Not sure how you mess up Filet Mignon, but the chef somehow pulled it off.
Recommendation: Stay Away!!
Great, fresh food. Great service. A little pricey for such simple ingredients but great flavors and very filling. Frozen pomegranate margarita and the guacamole made at table side were a great combo.
Our food and the service were top notch. Definitely try the guacamole, it’s amazing!!
I’ve dined at this restaurant in other cities and the experience up until this point was outstanding - it was why I decided to take an important client to this location for dinner. Rosa Mexicano is known for their table side guacamole as an event - I ordered it and 5 minutes later a waiter should up with a bowl of guacamole I mentioned I ordered the table side verision and he flippantly responded as he was walking away they couldn’t accommodate without any other explanation. Client ordered a drink - was given the wrong one and the icing on the evening, we ordered dessert - the waiter showed up 20 minutes later with our check and mumbled the ran out of what we ordered and here’s our check - all round poor experience.
Love the mole and chips were fresh
It was soooo extremely hot in the restaurant that I could barely eat. Apparently, the AC couldn’t keep up with the demand on an average August night. It was ridiculous. I could see if it was broken but it wasn’t. Very hard to enjoy a meal when it’s hot and stuffy in a restaurant.
Dining room was hot. Friendly Good service from Warren.
Our reservation was set for 2PM for a party of 8 and we were promptly seated. The service was great, the hand-made table side guacamole was excellent. But you owe it to yourself to have a few pomegranate margaritas and the pork shank!
Ahhhmazing from the customer service, staff, drinks and food. Kudos to my fellow Honduran Julio Alvarez for the fresh guacamole. I didn't normally like guac OR tomatoes but I make an exception with the guac at Rosa's.
Our waiter was excellent, very polite and continued checking on us throughout the meal. Kudos to him.
The staff were amazing with my mom who is disabled. The chef came to the table to discuss her requirements and made a customised meal for her. A wonderful relaxed meal out with the family.
Food was great, enjoyed the table side prepared guacamole.
I thoroughly enjoyed the vegetarian tacos. The empanadas were 👌🏽. Chips and salsa were really good too.
excellent service, i told the host i had a reservation, and i got seated right away..with specific instructions where i wanted to be seated by a scenic view
Great location. Great service. Although it’s a loud place.
Our service and food were excellent. Do yourself a favor and and get the tableside guacamole! It’s so fresh and delicious. Our group of six ordered it twice and scarfed it down. The house made sangria is very good too. We were there for our mother’s birthday celebration, which I noted when I made our reservation and requested a table with a water view for the special occasion. When the hostess called to confirm, she acknowledged both requests. When we actually arrived at the restaurant, they seated us in a horrible high traffic area even though I could see several water view tables open. Fortunately we had a great server who made up for this for us.
Delicious food and great selection - ask for Joel, he is the best!
Food was good. Loved the guacamole! Only complaint was the air conditioning. It was hot in the restaurant and apparent from the time we walked in the door there was a problem with their A/C. My husband was so hot and sweety. I did see a fan they placed in the middle of the room. But I wished they had told us they were having issues with the a/c before being seated or when they called to confirm our reservation. Spending $180 on dinner in a restaurant with a/c problems is not something I would do again.
It was a special night for us. We were greeted with a split of champagne which I thought was sweet. The guacamole here is unbelievable! Diner was great and then we received a beautiful plate of ice cream and brownies. It was a wonderful surprise! The best part was we were not rushed at all. We had a beautiful view of the river and it was fun people watching.
I always recommend this restaurant either at National Harbor or their one in Washington DC, their food is truly authentic!
The food here was absolutely amazing! The ambiance was somewhat of a turn off, seeing as though there was no air conditioning or open windows. It was very hot the day we dined here, and we chose to sit inside as opposed to the patio in order to stay cool. Either there was no AC available, or they had it turned off. Whatever the case was, I needed a towel to continue to wipe the sweat pouring from my face. The spicy food only made things worse. My other peeve, continuing with the heat, was that they had bottles of water being "chilled" in a bucket of warm water (the ice had melted quite some time prior, and the water at this point was room temperature). Instead of adding ice, they continued to add more bottles of water! We had to ask for glasses of ice. You would think that after I pointed this out to them, they would have refilled the bucket..... Nope! They continued to "chill" more bottles of warm water..... SMH..
This was my first visit to the National Harbor venue. I've had wonderful meals at the D.C. restaurant, but was a bit disappointed by my experience here. It felt like the AC wasn't working, because it was uncomfortably warm inside the dining room. I had to ask the waiter to turn down the music because our party of six couldn't hear each other over it. And the mahi-mahi and shrimp in the pescado prima vera were overcooked. The service was very friendly and accommodating, if a bit slow. Overall, it was fine, but not up to the standards I've come to expect from Rosa Mexicano.
First time here. We had an excellent meal and the food was very authentic. I would highly recommend Rosa Mexicano to anyone who wants fresh & authentic. Their home made Guacamole is delicious and you must try it made "spicy".
Tried this because we wanted Mexican food and a table was available through Open Table. Guacamole was to die for and everything we ordered at our table of 4 was delicious. Salsa before the meal was fresh, homemade and very good, red sangria was delicious. I had filet with sausage that was very good, a tad overcooked for me but still very good. Friends had shrimp, one had fajitas, and one had a stuffed pepper, all were very good as we each tried a small portion of the other. Highly recommend, take time to enjoy the scenery, sit outside if the weather allows, and enjoy.
Great Service! Delicious food.
Fun, good drinks ( alcoholic and non alcoholic festive in taste and presentation ). Fun and authentic style art. Many tables provide a view of the Ferris wheel at National Harbor. I have been many times and it has always been busy which provides an energetic atmosphere. They are able to handle the volume in the kitchen and in service, but I have never been there when I felt the bathroom was in good order. I would say the restrooms need a dedicated person to look after them.
Great ambiance and service oriented was above exceptional.
The food was delicious and the service was very good. Expensive but worth it. The guacamole was deliciously fresh and made to order table side. Drinks were good!
Service was very good. Must start with the guacamole...fresh and delicious. Drinks are pricy but it’s the area. Enchilada was very delicious but was served cold...hate sending food back. Still I recommend that. Everyone enjoyed everything. It is a solid good place to go if you are in the area. The fried donuts with 2 dipping sauces are sinfully delicious and a perfect dessert to share.

Really slow service
