Love to go to this place! Service was great and food was good.
Really good Mexican food in a lively atmosphere. Service was great. It is a little strange that they no longer serve Tecate beer- so that was a bit of a ding. The salsa served with the complimentary chips and salsa was excellent as was the fresh prepared guacamole. Had the Mole Poblano Enchiladas which were good, though the Mole sauce was just a bit too sweet. Others had the Chile Poblano Relleno (excellent) and the Arrachera, which is a marinated steak cooked to the exact temperature requested. They also served the ubiquitous black beans and rice for the table to share, but it was very over seasoned and too salty to eat. Oh, well. The kitchen wasn't quite up to the one in downtown D.C., but still good.
Best margaritas and chicken mole in DC
Had 3 different people come to our table to do drink order food order (which was wrong) and food drop off. No one ever refilled a glass or checked anything for us as the person who was our actual waiter (he apparently was the one who took the food order) was nowhere to be seen, even by his co workers when we tried to get our check to leave. Food was unoriginal and used low grade reheated meat that they attempt to cover that fact by using an overwhelming amount of sauce.
Service, food, and atmosphere does not equal out to price charged. Will not suggest to anyone.
Celebración de día del Padre! Sencillamente espectacular la comida y el ambiente.
Great upscale Latino food. Best Margueritas we’ve had since going to Mexico!
Awful food. Clearly had been frozen and reheated. Completely tasteless. Service was slow too.
We always enjoy the food and location. The service is usually very good as well. The only downside to this visit was that it was very crowded and very warm inside. Was not as enjoyable as we had hoped.
The mint cucumber fresco ( I believe that’s the name ) was amazing. Great non alcohol drink !
Everything was great!
Food delicious. Drinks very expensive—$12.50 for a margarita in a low ball glass. Server polite and helpful.
Little disappointed in the Pork dish. Salsa and queso were great..
Very friendly and great service.
We loved everything about this restaurant. The service is great and our waiter was so enthusiastic and they always are when we go there. Fabulous margaritas and guacamole! We had fish tacos and Mexican corn on the cob, all excellent and a good value.
Over priced, small portions, no flavor. We were very disappointed with Rosa Mexicano.
Best table side guacamole! Service is always excellent!
I always enjoy Rosa Mexicano! I would suggest that rice and beans come with every meal. The sauce on the enchilada had way too much vinegar in it and saturated the entire dish. I was a little bummed to not be able to see the actual presentation of the table-side guac. We chose to sit outside. Noting the spacing of the tables, I asked our hostess if we would still be able to receive the table-side experience and she said, yes. That was not the case. There weren't enough servers to man down the outside seating, so our server was stretched a bit thin.
Other than those few things, the experience was nice! Very nice day and relaxing atmosphere and GREAT! drinks!!!!
Food was excellent. Our server Warren was able to anticipate our every need and want making the meal even more enjoyable! Wow!
Happy Hour selections are blah and not the best value for that area. Rosa is a beautiful place in a great location. Just not worth the money or the wait...
I frequent there often. Service was slow and poor, steak undercooked. Aerobics class on the lawn. Normally I wouldn’t care, but it was really loud and disrupted if you are eating outside. I brought out of town guests and kind of embarrassed with everything. .
Food came out luke warm and the fish was extremely salty. The entree was $25 and not worth it! My daughters quesadilla was soggy. The view of the harbor was nice. Wouldn’t rush back here!
Food expensive and we had over cooked salmon, service was great ....
Wonderful experience, I was pleasantly surprised. The food was outstanding and the service was great! Rosa Mexicana offers a variety of delicious drink and food choices, it's hard to go wrong. I will definitely be returning...soon!
Just another great dining experience at a local favorite
The mole enchiladas were excellent, which is why we ate there.
We reserved our table and was late showing up. We called to notify Rosa Mexicana and they still honored our late arrival and thanked us for calling.
The table they sat us in was very nice, but, the three stars is because the wait staff was very overwhelmed.
The guacamole was good, but our food was very dry.
I ordered the Carnitas and if not for the sauces, it was pretty bland. Our wait staff misheard my dates order and gave her the wrong food initially, but he was quick to replace it. She ordered the fish taco. The fish taco was okay. It was flavorless, the fish was crunchy though.
Maybe it was too busy? I used do be a waiter, I know exactly how that can be.
Maybe next time it would be different.
The food tasted great. The empanadas were delish. It was also a nice touch singing happy birthday to the birthday girl.
This place is loud and always crowded, but I can't stay away when I'm in town. The guacamole en molcajete that's made at the table is incredible and always a must-order. On this most recent trip I had the pescado primavera and a very nice strong mojito, and my date had the rollo de pechuga and one of their mocktails. It was all delicious and filled us up very nicely--no dessert, thanks! We usually like quieter places, but we enjoy the view and the decor and the energy of RM. Fun place.
The service was great.
The food is always great. The service is wonderful. The manager stopped by at the end of the meal to ask how everything was. She invites us back soon and was personable and funny. I love Rosa Mexicano and always suggest it to family and friends as a get spot to meet, eat and enjoy quality time together!
Not that great since roof fell from the top in regards to AC.
Food was liked-not loved. Excellent service. Really noisy place but good for tourists and families.
We had a great lunch. We're out of state and found this to be a great location and walking distance from our hotel. Delicious strawberry margarita, guacamole, and quesadillas.
Love coming here when I don't feel like driving to the city bit want a city vibe. Prefer the bar area even when dining. The main dining area was loud and too many round tables to squeeze a few more people in. In the rush to get folks in and out they were Lax with cleanliness. There was food, flatware, and miscellaneous items on the floor... usually it is not this dirty that is why I am mentioning it. Overall I recommend coming here. The few negative things I'm pointing out is not the norm!
Okay, not super happy about putting something unfavorable but this place deserves it.
I took my two May birthdays out for lunch this Sunday. I made reservations informing them that I was celebrating my sister and friend, Jorge. I requested a table by the window and perhaps a dessert menu for a little sweet tooth. When we arrived 10 minutes prior to our reservation time, I took the opportunity to remind the staff we were there for a special occasion and that we had some requests. They quickly ushered us the the furthest table from the window, despite the availability of window seats. Our waiter Anthony continued to get lost and never brought my Jorge a second margarita, let alone refreshed our drinks. In fact when he did pop back out, I was going to request the dessert menu, I was greeted by the check. I spent 87.95 for lunch, no dessert and the food wasn't that great. As for the food: my sister ordered chilaquiles Suiza that came with an egg: she requested an egg cooked over medium. It came over hard twice and burnt beyond being edible. Her plate was super dry and despite her attempts to revive it when she got home, she ended up throwing it out. I'm beyond disappointed. I feel robbed and worst of all I broke my diet for less than mediocre food and worse service. Nope, I'm not going back!
Food was great as usual, but the service lacked a little bit. The server on came around twice and I asked for a water refill and it never came.
We were in National Harbor for a conference and had heard good things about the restaurant. Specifically the table side guacamole, very good! We ended up having a quick dinner before heading out to a concert. Food was ok, guacamole was the best.
Great! But I thought the service was better! Food was amazing, music level was so high!
I like the food and the waitress where great. Only one thing the front desk was very nasty attitude when I ask for a frontview table that I had rescuested at the moment of the reservation. You need to put more attention of the reservation thank you.
