The selection was limited i was looking for more original Mexican Food
Food was amazing. However I did catch one of the waiters fill my sangria half way with water which was disappointing since I liked everything else about the restaurant. Who waters down wine???
Great place to go especially if you are going to a concert or event.
I asked for a booth and they wouldn’t give us one.
Food was great but they no longer validate parking so it cost me $30 for parking alone. That was very disappointing and doubtful that I will return for business lunches. My boss will deal on that parking cost when I submit my expense report!
Went for a 6 person business dinner. Rice and beans were not the best. Chips were OK. Food and services were generally GREAT. I would go back here again.
High quality food and they have some very good vegan options.
The food was okay, the michelada was great, the hostess looked and acted upset she was working. The server was good. Overall, the food was overpriced to be subpar, service could’ve been better.
Typical Mexican restaurant trying to be a fancy restaurant. Overpriced for what it is. Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
The hostess was gracious and we got our requested booth which was very nice however the place seemed understaffed . There was a concert nearby which made it a very busy evening however you would expect a restaurant located near a large venue to be prepared for events . Our waitress was nice but everything took so long to get including drinks and guacamole made tableside. Also prices were high for the amount of food we ordered ... especially guacamole with one avocado for $16??? The food presentation was poor and a few dishes were served cold . This is our 3 rd time at this restaurant and we were very disappointed to say the least . I don’t know if we will be back !
I was here before with my kids before a hockey game. We loved it. My daughter made the reservation for three.
I told my girlfriend about going to this place before a hockey game. I had a great experience and she thought the place was great and so was the food and the spirits. This was my second time here. I did make reservations ahead of time through Open Tables a couple of days beforehand and had no problem getting in.
This is our go-to spot whenever we attend an event at the Microsoft Theater! It took me a while to embrace upscale Mexican cuisine (mainly because I grew up with it being family-made, comfort food) but Rosa Mexicano's food is delicious, thoughtful, and respectful. I especially like the way various regions of Mexico are represented in the menu.
One of the best...no, THE best Mexican food restaurant I have dined at in many, many years. The table side prepared Guacamole is a must. Not only is the food delicious, but the cocktails were just as delicious. Must go to place if you go to Staples or the LA Live area.
Second time eating here before a local event and the food is exceptional, the staff kind. They don’t know how to ask me if I need anything special regarding seating location or even opening the door for me as I’m wheelcare bound and can only get around with a caregiver. They placed me in my wheelchair along a busy walkway and staff ran into the back of my chair, even pulling my hair a few times. No one helped us get in the front door or offered me a booth. I was very uncomfortable all night.
We were pleasantly surprised by the service and the food here. Going to Staples Center on the night of a Laker Game, we anticipated waiting and not so good service. Our reservations were honored right on time and even though the restaurant was quite busy, our service was great. Our waiter made some recommendations and we were so glad that we listened. We had the Guacamole en Molcajete and my son and I shared the appetizer Shrimp Ceviche and the Chamorro (Pork Shank). The pork was tender and flavorful and more than enough for two of us. My other son ordered the Al Carbon with Steak and Chicken and that was plentiful as well. We all ended up sharing everything. I will definitely go back!
Server was rude
The Carnitas dinner that I had was pretty dry. The meal was just ok overall.
I was excited to be back in LA and going back to Rosa Mexicano. However, I was disappointed in some of the food. The queso fundido and guacamole were good. I had the sopas benedict which came with corn bread. The corn bread was served 10 minutes before the entree and it was burnt. I requested another cornbread and that came out burnt too. The waiter did not even notice that it was dark brown when he brought it to the table a second time. We tried it and it had the consistency of a sponge. Yuck. The hollandaise sauce had a weird flavor and the sauce had a skin and was not piping hot. What's worse is that it was not busy so there is really no excuse. I'm sad to say that I won't be going back.
Sat us right away which was great. Service was really slow. Had to flag someone down multiple times since our server was MIA. Food was ok. The best part was the tableside guacamole
Great food and drink. Enjoyed the margaritas, enchiladas, hand made guacamole and topped off the night with desert. Highly recommend ask for Chelsea manager great service
Very good guacamole and nice service, the rest of the food was sufficent
Food was really good
We arrived before noon, with a reservation. The place was still quite empty, and we informed our server we had limited time, but we waited too long for our order to be taken, and he was good enough to bring our check right away, but then we were virtually ignored. Food was fine.
Good location but that makes it very busy and loud. Food was somewhat expensive and when it arrived it really was nothing special. The tableside guacamole needed seasoning and the skillet dish came on a cold skillet so much so that the cheese had solidified
We were seated immediately, had fantastic service, and they have the most impressive tequila selection I’ve ever seen!!
This was a pleasant surprise! Food was absolutely delicious. Had the table made guacamole, pomegranate margarita and the skirt steak/burrito special. Great atmosphere and very friendly, attentive staff. I would highly recommend.
In town for a conference, didn’t want to travel too far. Really good meal, if a little pricey. Glad we made the reservation too.
The place was very nice but the service was not up to par, out table was dirty full of crumbled chips from the table before, our Margaritas took over 20min we got out appetizer and food before our drinks, the service was not good when my food was delivered we didn’t get utensils and it was not like the place was wall to wall busy
My team and I were in the area for a meeting and waiting 1.5 for an appetizer. Unfortunately, the food—appetizer and meal—were all wrong when it arrived as well. This would normally result in a poor rating but management responded to our complaints. I just wish we would have known sooner so we could have made a decision on if we would stay or find other options.
I would try it again if I ever return to the city. I would like to give this restaurant a clean slate to start with.
They were unprepared to manage the number of people that made reservations. We waited over an hour and a half for our food and when it came it was cold. The quesadillas were the worst I have ever been served. The cheese was cold and there was one to two little pieces of steak in each and the tortillas was so hard I scrapped my mouth up. The “table side guac” was not made tableside. It was barely mashed and the avacados were so I ripe that you had to use a fork to eat the chunks where were not good.
They were totally unprepared for the crowd the night of our reservation. There was a JT concert and a large conference going on at the adjacent convention center/hotel. While the food was okay it took forever for us to get seated (despite having reservations) and the bar was extremely backed-up.
Where to begin.
We showed Up group before and had reservations for 7 o’clock. We got to the restaurant and we’re met with a very long line and even though we were early, around 630, I wanted to check in to see if we could potentially be seated early. The girl the front was anything that helpful and not incredibly friendly she told me that while she was checking in and confirming room is a ration I would have to come back to the front closer to my reservation time. Which didn’t really make too much sense considering there was a very long line so I was hoping I wouldn’t have to wait in that line again just to check in. We went to the bar to kill the time we had it took forever to get a drink. My husband at around 655 trying to walk back over to the front to check on our reservation and see if the table is ready and the line in the crowd of people in the front of the restaurant was so incredibly large and chaotic that my husband wasn’t even able to get to the front or speak to anyone about whether or not our reservation was ready he waited for almost 20 minutes so around 720 we gave up. Mind you again our reservation was made through open table for 7 o’clock. We ended up having to go and grab a table as soon as we could by the bar because some nice customers let us know that they were leaving but warned us that the service was incredibly slow. The chaos grew from there we never got an apology or anything in terms of the fact that they completely lost our reservation and we were never seated. Apparently the restaurant was cleaning that OpenTable double booked many of the reservations and that was why there was an issue but again this was all hearsay from the chaotic crowd and nothing from the staff. All in all it was not the best experience and we were offered nothing for the trouble we went through. I use OpenTable often but this was one of the worst experiences.
The restaurant was slammed, maybe due to a concert??? Service was slow, slow, slow. Food was delicious once it finally arrived.
Food was gross and a waste of money. The server we had was very nice but the hostess in the front were not. Probably will never come back
What happened to this place I loved coming to years ago? Waited to be served (I had to ask who's my server) 25 mins. My food was burnt, horrible experience. I'd pick another place cause this was to busy with customers and hardly any staff
We arrived and our table was available right away everyone there very friendly. You have to try the guacamole and chips and the tortilla soup. It was very good. Nice atmosphere lights a little dim may need a flashlight to see menu. Great place for a night out
Overpriced and the drink selection was sub par.
The place was great. The location was great. The atmosphere was great and Service was as well.
The food was not. It was bland. The salsa had no flavor.
Food not as good as it used to be , staff look like they want to be somewhere else also forgot two of my orders had to remind
The athmosphere is exceptional including the service. We were seated in a very quiet section. Above all the guacamole was prepared in front of our table fresh and the food was great.
