The restaurant looks amazing. The food and service were great. Thank you
I had a good time overall. Your drinks are a little pricey but my margarita was tasty. Also, I appreciated that you let me sit even though my dining partner had not yet arrived. I will come back.
The only problem was my steak wasn’t well done and a little tough
We had a wonderful dinner at Rosa Mexicano . The service was perfect, and the food was delicious; fresh and authentic as well as the sangria. We will definitely come back again.
Our waiter Tobias was super friendly and attentive and made our experience at Rosa Mexicano worthwhile. The food was delicious as always, and the courtesy and service was excellent. Can’t wait to return again!
The salmon was cooked to perfection. The portion sizes were appropriate and the drinks (margarita with lime) was the perfect ending to the dinner. Great service.
A solid spot for post-work or pre-theater. Excellent (if spendy) tableside guacamole, professional, friendly service, lots of food choices, and good drinks. We especially enjoyed the jalapeno pineapple margarita. Prices are on the high side, but what you'd expect in the area.
Love Rosa- never lets me down. Guacamole is always a winner. The sangria was delicious and our entrees were tasty.
Great food including seafood!
Device was great. Food was good. Delicious guacamole.
It was absolutely perfect! Our server Napoleon was amazing, the drinks and the food were divine, and the view from the top floor was awesome. We will be returning!
A reservation is a must here. We dined upstairs. Pleasant semi-upscale ambiance. Interesting water wall feature. The guacamole is fresh and delicious. Entrees also very good. Service friendly and attentive, even though it’s very busy. Bill for 2 with no alcohol was around $70. Love it here.
We have always loved Rosa Mexicano. and the night we attended the place was packed. Luckily we had a reservation so we were seated quickly. The food was excellent but service was slow. But we did make our curtain at the opera house/
We ate outside, but, inside, it was very noisy. Also, there was a lot of congestion by the front door and just inside, with people waiting to get off the wait list, mixed with people who had a reservation, making it unclear where one was supposed to be. (We had an Open Table reservation, so no problem there, however, once I got to the reservation table, it took longer than it should have for them to look on their computer and determine whether or not there was a table outside.) There were two people at the reservation desk, but only one seemed to have the task of making the final table determination, while the other person seemed to be assigned to act as a "consultant" to the other one, i.e., more than one reservation person would have expedited the line.
Biggest problem is how overwhelmed the front-desk check-in people seem to be. Having a reservation doesn't seem to make a difference -- there's only one line and it seems to take forever to get to the head of it while the check-in people (all two of them for a mobbed restaurant) are trying to figure out what to do next. There's no excuse for being "surprised" that a restaurant across there street from Lincoln Center is busy between 6 and 7 on a Saturday.
The food is fine, well prepared and well presented. The servers all seem rushed but at least they didn't rush us.
Great Mexican restaurant near Lincoln Center. The table-side guacamole is so good!!
We had reservations and were seated promptly. The carpet next to the table was badly damaged and someone could easily have tripped on it.
Our shrimp quesadilla was warm, not hot. Everything else was great.
They need to repair that carpet. Looks bad.
Always dependable; good food, attentive service!
I’ve been going to Rosa Mexicano for a long time I made a reservation when I arrived at 4:30 PM the restaurant was almost empty however they did not have a table ready and when they did it was a table smack up against the wall when I got another table ready it was in front of the lady with the baby stroller parked right where my chair would be the restaurant was actually almost empty I really don’t understand it I went upstairs the meal was good but boy you need to do something with your staff at the desk
Food was heavily salted ( guacamole was sent back) entree was dry and tasteless... not like in the past
Overrated and overpriced
Did not enjoy the food at all
Service was not especially attentive
Great spot and meal before a show. Drinks were a bit pricey.
Had an amazing time! Always an incredible experience.
Great location across the street from Lincoln Center for Performing Arts! The food was mostly reliable Mexican standard, but the star was tableside guacamole preparation. Service was very good, especially for a small group of our size after graduation. Recommended!
Food was ok service was very slow
They even didn't know the table number
They serve our food to other table
We been waiting so so long time to get the water sorry
We have stopped here several times and it’s always been good. Service is exceptional and views from the second floor are pleasant.
The table-Side guacamole is a highlight.
We had a great time! The service was beyond amazing!
We waited over an hour for a table even though we had reservations and then we found out that they had never checked us in.
The food was good, but the service is terrible. The hosts think they are running the most exclusive spot on the planet, barking orders and not communicating clearly. The wait staff were slow and annoyed when we didn’t order drinks. I will probably not come back unless I have to
The food is still delicious. We had a reservation for 7p on a Friday night and it took 10 mins just to get to the check-in podium to check in because the downstairs area was so packed. The guacamole is still fantastic and my carnitas was excellent. The entrees came almost too quickly. The margaritas served at the table seemed a bit weak, but otherwise, everything was excellent.
Great food. Friendly attentive staff. Highly recommended
This was my first time at this restaurant,
my family and I enjoyed everything, I would highly recommend this restaurant
We had a great time. We were able to be in and out within an hour in order to make the ballet at 8pm.
Everything was great about the visit. I was sat down immediately for my reservation, which never happens. The service was great, the food and the ambiance. I've already recommended it to everyone I've spoken to about my visit there. Good job!!
The food has changed quite a bit. Quality not as good. Huge difference. Not impressed. It’s a shame. Used to be a favorite of mine. They don’t even serve the little flour tortillas with the guacamole anymore. Just chips. Even the guacamole was not as good. Food was fair. I used to love the place. No more.
Food was okay, had to ask waiter for cocktails, seated at table by wall waterfall, got sprinkled on my back and feet, wet floor. The guacamole bar looked messy. Been here years in the past and was nice and classy. Still has the look, chic, yet with a warm-Mexican decor/ambiance to it. But now seems institutionalized, hurried and impersonal--I didn't see smiles on the wait help as in the past. I hope they go back to having the personality of a fun, inviting, warm and welcoming Mexican restaurant. Thank you.
They didn’t have the chefs lunch, which was disappointing. Everything else was great.
upstairs closed and small tables downstairs the guacamole always excellent
The guacamole is to die for, it’s a must
All dishes are delicious
