One of the best Mexican restaurants in NYC! 🗽🇺🇸
This is my 3rd time here and it’s amazing everytime! Food and drinks are outstanding and the area/ambiance is great. Will be returning.
Thanksgiving dinner was amazing. The service was warm and inviting. Very spacious safe environment.
Had an amazing time. Food was great.
Best service I’ve had in NYC in a long time. Our waiter for brunch was so accommodating, friendly, and knowledgeable. I’ll be back!
Wonderful meal. Quality food. Great value.
I was so excited to try this place for the first time. Unfortunately the service was horrible.
The waiter, never asked if we wanted to order anything to drink.
Never came to refill water, throughout the entire night. The cups were absolutely empty.
We asked to order drinks, the waiter never asked if we wanted to other another round. So they are definitely missing out on money.
Oh well.
Very unhappy of the menu changes... took some of the best options off the menu... service a little slow but our waiter was still great.
Was not happy about being charged for the chips and salsa that was a bit of a cheap move since this was never a thing. Also the only spot that I’ve seen so far do the Covid 4% charge
Service was very slow Saturday night and we were continually having to try to find our waiter. The guacamole was not as good as usual.
Exactly what you would expect from an established restaurant
The food was so good. And so was the staff. The 2 staff personnel were very kind. The restaurant manager was accomodative enough to give us a private spot. The only thing I wish they provided quicker was the service. We were a party of 22 people and had to keep getting up and look for a waiter to take the orders. It was a birthday dinner and I was a little embarrassed to have my guests wait all the time.
I wish they had appointed Atleast 2 servers just to us, because we had made a reservation and A large order was expected .
Will definitely give a second though if I had to visit this place again only coz of the service time.
Went to celebrate my sisters birthday, everything was incredible, food was delicious, the guava margarita was to die for. We arrived earlier than our reservation and they were able to accommodate us and sat us down earlier. Definitely will be returning.
Charge you a corona surcharge
What a shame! I was expecting more as I had in my mind the thoughts of the old Rosa Mexicano: classy, tasty and unique! Theres not much left from that
Outstanding as always. It’s beyond amazing to be going back.
The service was attentive and the drinks were delicious! Rosa Mexicana created a safe environment that adhered to social distancing guidelines for indoor dining.
Love this restaurant and have come here and the original on first ave for many years. Always a good experience. Grateful to be able to dine in during COVID19 and feel safe and well cared for. The service was as professional as ever, but the menu and ambiance have fallen. Carpet needed to be vacuumed where we were seated and menu seems to have been altered with some favorites gone or scaled back. Pollo con mole was dry fried chicken no starch to complement it, the small side of radishes and mole were okay, but would not order again. Enchiladas were excellent. A good bar and nice selection of special drinks, but I do hope that COVID19 doesn't rob this amazing restaurant of its polish and high standards.
La prossima vez, yo quiero Las Mariaches! Grazias para la opportunidad celebrar Il Dia De Los Muertos!
Delicious guacamole and pollo adobado. Pomegranate margaritas are the best!
Overall experience good good margaritas food was tasty although the rice was a bit dry probably shortage of staff due to pandemic We will return we want to support our local business.
Celebrating our daughter being in the city for 24 hours - it felt so nice to be back in one of our most favorite places! Thanks!
Everything was great and the food and drinks are great!
We ate inside and the spacing felt very safe. Food and drinks were good as always.
The atmosphere and service are very good. The guacamole is not as good as it used to be, it's a small portion made in the kitchen, as opposed to table side prep, and they serve it with raw vegetables. A raw radish or carrot with guacamole is not authentic. The corn tortillas were thick and didn't have that grilled corn flavor. The mains were fine, but I feel like the food here used to be better. The frozen pomegranate margarita was great as was the selection of mezcal.
Food came out cold and waiter took back. Was curious how a $24 enchiladas comes out cold. Pretty bad. Then go to pay the Bill, I do mind paying the extra covid fee but they charged us $5 for chips and salsa and we even bought a guacamole. I hope I hear from someone because I will never be back. Plenty of Tex mex I can visit that serve hot food and don’t charge dumb fees. Very disappointed.
They charge a covid 19 recovery fee. Businesses need to clearly state this charge on their menu and they did not and charged it anyway
waiters were amazing and so kinf! Good service + food
Great service even in the pandemic
The female receptionist at the front desk completely ruined my day cancelling my reservation without notification because I was 10 minutes late. Was traveling from NJ. Should call before you cancel reservation made days ago
Not their fault, but the payment system crashed and added a lot of extra time to our visit.
Good food, great pomegranate margaritas, slow service. Didn't even acknowledge my husband's birthday, even though i told them twice. View was of a mobile gas truck, rather than Lincoln Center.
Felt very safe and good was delicious! The best margaritas and guacamole in the city. Everything is delicious and service is impeccable.
Great place to eat! Ate inside, they did a great job keeping us safe during Covid while maintaining quality and a nice atmosphere! Thank you for being open Rosa Mexicano!
Sat inside and it was extremely quiet and the current guidelines for social distance and masks were well-followed. Guacamole was excellent although nit prepared at the table as we thought it was—probably for health reasons. Food was very good and good portions and there were several waiters and busboys who took very good care of us. I'll be back!
Doing a great job with indoor dining, lots of space to spread people out
Wonderful INDSIDE dinner and margaritas at Rosa Mexicano. Rosa's food and dining experience is as good as it's always been. Rosa's was also very well prepared to reopen in these covid times. Inside set up is super clean, well-spaced and geared toward safely. Masked Servers do a superb job providing attentive service but giving patrons room. The restaurant has done a great job re-opening and providing it's traditional experience in a safe way. Go enjoy!
Are outside. Food and service were very good!
I had a fantastic experience at Rosa Mexicano by Lincoln Center. I was greeted by the manager Caroline, who made me feel so welcome and right at home. She offered me my choice of tables, on either the inside or outside. (I chose a lovely indoor table near the window.) I started with some chips and salsa and the Caesar salad. Both delicious. I then had the grilled swordfish with mole sauce - it was outstanding. I finished with the caramel crepes, which were just fantastic. The service was excellent and the prices were shockingly low given the quality and location. They're also doing an amazing job keeping the restaurant as clean and safe as possible. I look forward to returning very soon.
Great vibes. Server was super nice and was informative of the specials. Definitely will be back for the margaritas!!
I loved trying five different Mexican street tacos on National Taco Day. They were all tasty and at a good price. I hope they have this promotion again next year! Service was slow but friendly. The other day the manager was trying to push us out so we wouldn’t linger after our dessert. Kinda rude but if you wanted us out faster the best way was not to make us wait so long for our entree and desert.
