Food was very good. Service was slow.
Great Dinner! My son and I had dinner at Rosa's on Saturday. It was wonderful. We have been going to Rosa's since my son was a young boy. He is now 25 years old. We love the restaurant and we always go when we have an event at Lincoln Center. The service was great. Our waiter gave us plenty of time to catch up. He was unobtrusive but yet very attentive. We had several rounds of drinks, the promeganate margaritas are amazing with guacamole and the queso fundido. Our Entrees were wonderful also, I had the Pork Shank and my son had the Budin de Polo. Everything was delicious. We finished it off with a cheesecake that our waiter brought. Overall, marvelous dinner, will be back soon.
Outstanding food and service !
Ask for David, he is really friendly and helpful.
We let him pick our complete dinner.
Start with Guacamole and had a mix of street tacos.
MUST HAVE stuffed chicken - Rollo De Pechuga
Then TRES LECHES which is larger than Lincoln Center...
Love Will & Phyl of Whitestone
Excellent food... best guacamole !
The food was very good. Drinks were very expensive. Overall, we had a wonderful time.
Food service very good!
Extremely LOUD - with a large table often screaming !
That was a bit much!
Nice variety of regional food. Well prepared, good service and value. Very busy so book ahead.
Despite me needing to change my reservation time twice, we were quickly accommodated and given our table even with the pre-show crowds rushing in. The second floor rooms are gracious, noise level not bad. View over street and across to Lincoln Center. Guacamole made to order at tableside. Regional Mexican dishes. The seafood on rice with two sauces, red and green, beautifully presented on the plate and delicious. Service friendly and professional. One mistaken entree order of four was taken back and replaced fairly quickly. There were no daily specials. The menu is streamlined to appeal to a range of tastes. Will definitely return.
An enjoyable experience, which we will repeat again.
I have visited the restaurant chain several times in recent years. The service is usually mediocre and no more. The waiters are intolerant.
The food level is good for smaller portions than before and prices are very high for the value.
Always lovely. The server was so polite, and helpful.
I had an amazing times with my girlfriends. Food was great.
The drinks, guacamole, and service were great. Main dishes not-so.
Rough start. Checked in 10 mins early only to find out 25mins later they had not checked us in. Finally got sorted out and sat down 30 mins after scheduled reservation time but was comped generously to make amends. Regardless would still recommend.
The service was terrible, the fish smelled like it was 2 weeks old and the three of us mourned the loss of a once very, very good restaurant.
I made a reservation on OpenTable for 8 people. The day prior to the dinner I called to ask if we can have seating with access to a wheelchair. The hostess yelled at me that I had no reservation multiple times despite me spelling my name over and over and telling her I booked with OpenTable. After 5 minutes of this banter, she found my reservation, said, "OK" and hung up. On the night of the dinner we arrived, 8 people, to be shoved into a booth/table for 6. We looked like sardines and our friend who is in a wheelchair could not stay in his scooter and was lifted by friends to a chair. We could not eat like this. I had to complain to the hostess multiple times and after a few minutes we were moved upstairs, where my friend had to exit the building to get into an elevator. We then had to wait another 20-30 min to order our meals. The waiter was nice, but that was the only redeeming factor of the dinner. Their rudeness and discrimination to a man in a wheelchair was beyond belief. I would NOT recommend ever going there.
I have not been to Mexico, so I can't compare, but I'm from Southern California and I have not had a better Mexican meal ever!
the food tastes nice and the place was so nice.my friend and I had a really good time. thank you . the friend and I are living close to the restaurant, then we should visit again for sure.
Restaurant space has a beautiful clean modern design, but noise level is a bit high. Service was very good and attentive. Food was great.
The food was amazing!!!! Service was excellent, very attentive. We only had an hour before a ballet at Lincoln Centre, they got us through really quickly.
It’s a fun tradition to go to Rosa Mexicana and the Opera.
Pomegranate margaritas, fresh guacamole, mole enchiladas...
Unfortunately this time even with reservations at an early 6pm and a decent amount of free tables my date and I were put in a less than desirable table in the back instead of something more in line with the night I had planned. :(
The tables are a bit long. Makes room for the wonderful dishes but wish the tables were smaller to allow for more intimacy with my girlfriend. You seem too far away.
Best pomegranate margarita in Manhattan. Damon was perfectly prepared
Recommended by a local. Street tacos, Camerones, wouldn’t be what I selected next time but guacamole was outstanding however don’t hesitate to emphasize spicy. Ours was mild although we asked for a 4 on a 5 point scale. We sat upstairs. Downstairs seemed noisier.
Excellent food, good location good service, poor Margaritas.
Menu is a little limited, but the food is delicious. Great spot for dinner with family or friends.
My response is biased by the fact that I found a piece of plastic in my salmon. They did give me another plate but took for ever for it to arrive and there was no attempt at any real apologetic action
Always great food, service and drinks, love this place!
We were a few minutes late for our reservation but the hostess was able to seat us in no time!
The margaritas are top notch as is the homemade guac table side.
We had one of the fish entrees and the marinated chx/steak dish. Delicious!
The uptown location is one of my absolute favorites - HIGHLY recommend!
The new menu is fantastic! I can't wait to try more of the new dishes. The scallops were just delicious!
I would recommend. Of the restaurants close to LC this is my favorite. Fod is great. Need to make a resv asap though to get the time you want.
good service and god food- way way too noisy, I will not go again pre preformance
strain to hear my table mates, so no matter how good service and food are, if the noise
level is awful, why go back?
Guacamole is a must !! Absolutely delicious, made at your table
I live across the street and usually stop by for lunch. Was my first time there with their new menu. Love the menu and food was great. Huge improvement.
Only if they are looking for a quick bite before going to Lincoln Center. Our waiter was great, personable and professional BUT it was really loud even though we were upstairs, and the food was not what it once was. Tres Enchiladas with lots of gloppy sauce....and tiny tacos that only come in three same type
All in all a fair rating, location gets the best part of review (for Lincoln Center)
I used to go to this eatery for years when I lived nearby, but in recent years the food is at the level of Chipotle. (In fact, Chipotle may have more flavor!) Even the famed guacamole is not what it used to be. Worst part: we were three, and we were seated next to a party of 12 or 14 loud young screaming immature witches. They were so unpleasant and shrill, ruining the ambiance for us during the entire meal. The waiter was very nice but explained that he could do nothing. I asked to speak to a manager, but one never came. The management should truly be ashamed. A once delightful restaurant gone to sh_t. Sad.
The food is overpriced and not especially authentic. I've been numerous times to Oaxaca, Puebla and Mexico City and none of the restaurant's dishes came close. And the prices certainly didn't. I was also disappointed that the iced tea listed on the menu wasn't available. Noise level is uncomfortable unless one sits outdoors.
This is a reliable restaurant option very close to Lincoln Center. As always, the food was fine. The service was very good. This time, we chose to sit outside since last night was likely one of the last times you could do that until next spring. The sidewalk tables are fine -- I thought it might be noisy with the traffic on Columbus Avenue but it was not. And the servers did not neglect us as sometimes happens when you sit outside. All good.
I enjoy their salmon salad although the amount of salmon is less than when I first ate here. The location right across street from Lincoln Center is definitely a plus.
Service extremely slow. Bathroom terrible. Lights burnt out. Half of stalls broken.
Food and ambiance very good, but infrastructure bad.
Loved it! Food was amazing and service was even better. I was very very pleased.
