Rosa Mexicano by Lincoln Center
Book your next event with us
Rosa Mexicano is one of our go -to restaurants for dinner before the opera at Lincoln Center. The food is reliably good and the service is reliably prompt. You don't have to worry about missing the curtain or being disappointed with the meal.
Waitress was polite, attentive to allergies, and helped interpret the terms in the menu
Celebrating a recovery of a major surgery!
The expensive quac was heavily salted & bland like the entrees. I've been visiting this restaurant every few years for a dozen years and quality has gone downhill as prices have increased.
had a great time the first time i came here. but this time, they gave us a table that was place right next to a closet door right next to an ice bucket. LOLLLL. i should've left but i didn't. the placement of this tiny table for 2 was an after thought. just to fill in more people. i was told it would've been 40min for the next table, so i sat down.
guacamole was great, it was always good. the entrees were so bad. the tortilla wasn't even placed in the pan. LOL. the fish tacos - the fish wasn't even seasoned. The service was great though and the waiter was accommodating and offered us to order something else, after we took 3 bites in just to make sure it wasn't seasoned at all. but we had a show to see at the lincoln center and it took them about 30 minutes to bring our entrees so we declined ordering something else and just asked for salt and sauce to dip the fish tacos in.
They did take off the fish tacos without me asking so I really appreciated that. The guacamole was good. I will probably come back just for that and drinks.
Miss the Union Square location but was not disappointed at Lincoln Center location. Great good and service - a great place to celebrate!
Great ambiance, food taste delicious and our server was very kind and on top of his service. Fresh guacamole made right in front of you and the drinks were perect, i would recommend this restaurant to anyone!
it was a good experience, they even brought out complimentary cake because i told them it was a special occasion.
First time at this restaurant, no complaints here. The staff, the atmosphere and Food was excellent. Definitely coming back in the near future.
Attention to detail was very impressive. Rosa’s staff operate like a fine oiled machine. A testament to the General manager who was visibly involved with his staff ensuring service was up to par. Everyone was so nice. Stephanie at the check in counter was great. Our waiter Miguel was awesome. While walking to the restroom every employee was courteous and either stepped aside for patrons to pass by or they would call out if they were moving with trays so you know they are coming around the corner. Amazing food and drinks. The guacamole is by far the best in the city!
Great service, very good food options, held our table for us while we were 20 minutes late.
Delicious food, great service with passion for the food. Super ambience and location. We'll be back! Thank you.
Very intimate. Service is great. I arrived 1 1/2 late on Valentine’s Day and they were understandable and seated right away. I really respect the service there.
An elegant, modern style restaurant, well designed, with--rare for New York City--tables spaced far enough apart for conversation and privacy. The food is usually as good as in Mexico, and that's saying something, but they have a tendency to over-salt, with the salt nearly overwhelming sometimes other flavors, even in spicy dishes! Service is poor (true both times I've been there lately). Too many waiters are brusk and not around when you need them. After they brought guacamole (too salty), we had to tell the busboys (all male) to tell the waiter to take our orders, to bring the dessert menu, and to give us the check. Rosa Mexicano (they should respect the Spanish language and do gender agreement) could be one of the top restaurants in the city, but it will not be until the owners and management get off their derrières and take very basic, simple steps to make this restaurant shine.
I love Rosa Mexicano - especially this location! Delicious, comfortable, classy!
Excellent service and great food.
Service was outstanding and margaritas were sooooo good.
Very good food, service and ambiance. Great location for before or after Lincoln Center events. Generous portions - sharing entrees may be the way to go, after the fabulous guac and chips!
Very live and lighting gave it a nice cool vibe. Food was great and service was better.
The food and service was great.
Always a great meal along with great service (and drinks). Their coffee is delicious also!
Great evening spent with friends. Excellent service!
Our server was attentive and helpful. We enjoyed the food and ambiance.
5 friends and co-workers met for a mid afternoonTGIF drink and get together. The restaurant was not crowded, but started to fill up after 4:00. Hostess seating and wait staff service and food were very good.
While this was not my first time at Rosa Mexicano, it was the first time our birthday club (minus 1) attended together. Everyone had a great time. The restaurant week menu offered enough variety that we were able to try something different and share with each other. Expect to see me/us again soon!
The food was shockingly bland and ordinary. It felt like it was put together by robots: it had no soul, no flair. And it didn't taste terribly good, either. Service was indifferent. It felt like every single person in the place was going through the motions: no one cared much about anything. I guess this sometimes happens when restaurants stay around too long (I recall going here years ago and liking it.) This place needs to be put out of its misery.
Calidad de la comida muy buena, especialmente su guacamole.
amazing service and food! i didnt order the guac but it looked amazing and will come back soon for it!
The food was delicious. Hostess was very nice. Waiter was dismissive and obviously not interested in waiting on us. Was eager to get rid of us.
Shared four appetizers and guacamole all were excellent.
So glad to enjoy restaurant week in NYC at Rosa Mexicano. Excellent service and suggestions from a wonderful waiter.
As usual the margaritas and guacamole were the best. Service was excellent. Very attentive wait staff, We returned after our concert for dessert- the tres leches was so good..
We went for resturant week and the food was good. The food did not blow me out of the water. We got a pitcher of the white sangria and that was amazing. The drinks here seem to be better.
Always appreciate your gluten free choices, and now marking on the menu. Thank you!
I wish you had an option for plain black beans with alittle of the juices in place of your version of the refried beans.
Disappointing. Made an open table reservation for 4:45, but upon arrival, we were told that the restaurant doesn’t open until 5 and we should head to the bar area, where the bar tender yelled at my husband for having kids in the area. When ready to be seated in an empty restaurant, they tried to seat us next to the party room, which was open and noisy. We requested a different table. They forgot part of our order during dinner and the waiter never checked on us during our meal. After dinner, I realized that I lost my hat and scarf and the staff acted clueless. Finally, I found someone that took more than half a second to look and help me and the items were found right at the upstairs hostess station (where we started and were told it wasn’t there - bc they never looked!)
Rosa Mexicano is one of our favorites! So sorry the one in our neighborhood closed! Love this place.
Men's room could use a floor cleaning as I go here often and my shoes always stick to the floor but otherwise excellent overall.
we had a late lunch on Sunday and the food presentation was poor and the rice and beans came to the table cold and the beans stuck together and was just a lump on the serving spoon.
The Mexican tacos were served cold. I have been a fan and patron of Rosa Mexicana and I would not go back for a weekend lunch.
We ordered the tuna street tacos, which were cold and so tiny. These should be listed differently on the menu. They were about one bite apiece, which isn't typical for tacos. Additionally, the server should indicate that they are cold, as tacos are normally hot. When we asked the server about them, she told us only that they are delicious.
