Atmosphere and decor seemed tired.
The food was average
The service was pretty good.
Rosa Mexicano is a great restaurant, it has a unique feel and the food was delicious. I recommend anyone to try this restaurant
We went to Rosa Mexicano prior today a Metropolitan Opera performance. Service was very attentive and unobtrusive. Our dishes came hot and prompt. Food was excellent. It is a regular on our dining circuit going to Lincoln Center performances.
Terrific food and great service 👍🏼
Always a great experience. We try to make sure we go there each time we’re in NYC. Saturday Brunch with bottomless margaritas was new for us!!
Whenever we go to Lincoln center we always have dinner at Rosa Mexicano. The food is good, the service always professional and the prices are reasonable. They also do a very good job when they’re busy moving people in and out. And if you go be sure to have the tableside guacamole it’s outstanding.
Rushed service, bad margaritas, OK guacamole, terrible ceviche, not great tacos. Wouldn’t ever waste my money again
Always good. Would like to see more vegetarian options.
We were a few minutes late for our reservation and the staff was accommodating to us and still gave us a spot. They were completely booked for the night so we were very lucky. I love this place and go eat there every time I get to NYC! They have the best guac, service is great and food is always amazing.
We have eaten here many times and the food is always consistently very good. The service was a bit sub par, I had to ask for silverware, more salsa and another glass of wine, that's not normal for Rosa but it happens.
Always a fabulous date night at Rosa. Amazing food, great service.
The restaurant is very beautiful and the decoration is very cozy. The service is very professional. Guacamole is the best option, it is the star dish. They prepare it in front of you. Maybe the price is still too high.
The food wasn’t outrageous the flavors are blend and not amazing as I expected
It was wonderful and our waiter and the bartender were both helpful without being unctuous. The mole chicken I had was outstanding.
We celebrated Thanksgiving here as a family, and we were SO impressed with the ambiance, friendly staff, and MOST delicious food! The turkey portions were amazing; and that mole poblano sauce was phenomenal (this is coming from a Mexican-American family that have grown up knowing what authentic mole tastes like, coming straight from our abuelita’s kitchen; and this was spot on! It would make her proud! We’ll be back for sure!
We arrived on time and were seated promptly despite it being a holiday. Food was delicious and some of the best Mexican half of this nomadic duo has enjoyed in the United States outside of Texas and California. Highly recommend table side guacamole, margaritas straight up, and chile relleño. If you are ravenous, skip the tacos. They are gourmet sized portions which might leave you longing for more. All in all, it is a fabulous culinary experience.
This was our fist time dining here and we were pleased with the choice. We don’t typically eat at chain restaurants but were pleasantly surprised with our dining experience. The food was delicious and flavorful from beginning to end. The margarita (the Gusto Milagro Reposado) recommended by our server Walter was the best! We shared the churros to finish the meal but honestly, I could have eaten them by myself they were so good! I look forward to visiting in the future when next in NYC.
Service was slow this time... not sure why. I had the pork chop special that looked great but was overcooked. It was served with wilted greens that needed a boost of some kind. Bacon? Salt and vinegar? I would still go back, especially for drinks and small plates.
We enjoyed the food and appreciated that the hostess found us a quiet table.
Food was terrible, service awful
We were seated in the very back of the restaurant near the exit after making the reservation well in advance. The food was very good and atmosphere of the restaurant as a whole very nice.
I have been to both the Lincoln Center and Chelsea locations before...
My wife really...really enjoys their guacamole...Overall we both enjoy the food as prepared and served...
However, almost every dish we ordered was served warm to room temperature...Ugh..
we accepted this with grace until my entrees arrived and one portion was cold..that was too much..
I returned it, and it came back freshly (microwaved..smile)...
The other issue was that our waiter kept disappearing and was difficult to find ..for placing appetizer order...placing entree order... the exchange of cold food ...and to pay the check...
I will chalk this up to the fact that it was a Saturday night and it was initially very crowded when we arrived...
We were delighted to see some new items on the menu. We each tried something new. All of us enjoyed our food choices very much. The food and service were great and we look forward to another visit soon.
Rosa Mexicano was excellent. We had an awesome waiter who knew the menu and the food and gave us great recommendations for both drinks and food.
Got stuck in back table even though I booked reservation months in advance !! Kid meals were too fancy.
Excellant as always...great food and service but noisy.
I had the white fish steamed in a banana leaf this time..healthy and delicious!
Very confused service. Food was not as good, just okay. We waited almost 30 min past our reservation. I am 9months pregnant and that was very annoying. The place was loud and after such a bad experiece we just ate our food and went back home as fast as possible.
Food has gotten better.
Napoleon was an excellent server, as was the support staff. The service and food are very consistent at RM. We enjoy dining there but tonight we were once again waited on by a true pro at his game! Pride in one’s work really comes through. Most servers do not realize what a difference that makes.
The menu has changed substantially since we last dined there and we all felt that the food was not nearly as good as it had been before.
One of the best mexican in town.
We have been to this restaurant before and it has always been fine. Our recent meal there was disappointing. They rushed us though the meal from the moment we sat down. We had just started on our guacamole appetizer when part of the meal arrived. We had to ask twice for the rice and beans to go with the entree and it did not arrive until we were almost done with our food.
I have eaten here several times, and the tableside service is consistently good, and the food is high quality with good variety and nice portions. During this visit, we had a problem with the check in desk leaving us waiting unnecessarily, and there was a lot of crowding and confusion at the door, which was disappointing and not characteristic.
Our waiter was very attentive and got us out of the restaurant in time for our 7 pm curtain at the Beaumont. The food was good, as always, and there are plenty of options. Great guacamole and delicious margaritas. What could be better???
They are the only game in town...the only high end Mexican restaurant to dine at before a Lincoln Center event. Wish there was some competition...the downstairs hostesses are ALWAYS so grumpy -- as if they hate working there. They look through you and are very rude to incoming diners. I never can understand why they don't train their hostesses to be friendly and smiling. Again, wish there was some competition so that they realize their diners are putting money in their paychecks.
Great staff. Everyone was friendly and accommodating.
Great pre-theatre experience.
Have dined here throughout the years and had great experiences so maybe this was just an off night. This particular evening we booked an 11:15 reservation post show. Arrived right on time and yet felt very rushed through dinner and even had the restaurant lights turned on us. We were not the only people dining late there either. Felt odd. Was a bummer. Suggest not offering 11:15 pm reservations if staff isn’t welcoming to them.
They have a new menu, I am glad there are more vegetarian options, they should mark the vegan options too.
Pretty good, not great. Service can be spotty. But in the end we enjoyed our food. Any restaurant in the neighborhood will be expensive for what you get.
Food was flavorful and the guacamole was made fresh at the table and was most delicious! Service was prompt and courteous
