Rosa Mexicano by Lincoln Center

Beautiful restaurant with great food! We went Sunday evening after an event at the Lincoln Center, it was very busy.
We had a large dinner party for 10 people. I didn't like the location of the table near the service area and the manager moved the table almost instantly. I was very appreciative and very impressed. And the table was large enough for possibly 4 more people. Not usual for a NYC restaurant.
The food was delicious and well prepared. I have been here many times and it has retained its standards.
It is a noisy bustling restaurant and conversation was still possible amongst the 10 of us.
Wonderful experience and food, as always!
This used to be a real favorite of ours. Service was inattentive...food very average. As usual, the guacamole was great but also quite expensive! I'm not sure we will be back again.
I essentially paid full entree price for one poached egg
Very convenient location near to Metropolitan Opera. Foods are very tasty and consistent as the Rosa Mexicano group.
As we like Mexican foods, we like it.
Only down side is waiting for 20 minutes for the table
Great food! Each of our dishes were delicious. Due to the busyness we were left alone most of the night, which can be good, but we were never checked on by our waiter. And the Ambiance was not up to the level of the cost of the meal, so I would expect more for $100, realizing that may not be much to some, but for my budget that's a special and rare night out.
Everything was great: service, attentive staff, food was delicious, and we didn’t feel rushed even though we were headed to the theatre. The only thing unpleasant was the noise level on the first floor: too loud!
Always good, but everything at our most recent visit was outstanding. Drinks, specials, desserts, service. It's why we keep going back.
a dependable place with good food and service. You should try it.
Rosa was good as always. Food was good if not more than that. My Bloody Maria order lacked two listed ingredients: jalapeño and salt. So rather bland. Overall, like an old shoe or slipper so forgiven the scuffs and tears. But as I told my companion, who I had raved about Rosa before: if this were my first visit I would not have come back.
The food was not the best for the price that was paid. The ambiance is not bad. But there are better options for Mexican food in the city
Had a great experience. Portions were huge. Really good cocktails. I wish the churros were thinner though!
Wonderful birthday celebration. Our waiter ROCKED!!
The food was borderline inedible
The food and service was good, nothing outstanding. The ambience, although subjective, was not my cup of tea. The fluorescent blue lighted wall and dark mood lighting felt like a disconnect with the culinary experience they had to offer.
Nice ambiance for a dinner date! My husband and I went for dinner after a Lincoln Center show and we were surprised how busy and crowded this place was. The food was good specially the wakamole appetizer made fresh by the table! Nice selection of tequilas and margaritas. The server was very polite and helpful. Definitely will come back!
Love coming here for the ambiance and decor. I wish they would offer more vegetarian options however. They also need to change their menu a little more often; I have been coming here for years and its almost the same exact menu.
Food was excellent. We have eaten here many times but it seems to have gotten better. Our waiter was a little forgetful and we were given a dirty glass, which we had to send back. Still, the food was so good and the other staff were all really on top of things.
Delicious food, huge portions and wonderful service. Don’t let the frenzied scene at checking in downstairs put you out: it’s smooth sailing upstairs.
Front desk/reception is not well handled. They need more people checking people in. Always takes too long and sometimes no one is there. Needs to be more efficient.
Waiters have too many tables, so you can be left too long between stages of a meal. Food is good, it’s noisy, but there are a lot of people there. Not unexpected there.
Location is great!
Lobed the place
We had a great time! Staff played with our 2 yr old boy and we’re accommodating of our stroller. Food was excellent as always
What a great find. Quiet dining room, great service, good food and margaritas.
I would highly recommend Rosa Mexicano to anyone looking for a good restaurant. The staff was incredibly accommodating and the food is fabulous. The Guacamole made table side is the best my friend and I have had.
Always delicious, great service, and those pomegranate margaritas... love this place!
Great - come a lot to this location and love it every time!
A “local” restaurant for us but don’t often eat there. Forgotten how excellent the food is. Service is just ok.
We managed a last minute reservation and were happy to be shown to a quiet table. Drinks, guac and food came promptly and we had no trouble making our curtain at Lincoln Center. Servers were all very nice and professional. Food was up to RM's high standards.
Rosa Mexicano is a great restaurant, with good food and service! A great way to start our Opera night at the Met.
Always excellent food and service
Love the menu!
We had the Restaurant Week lunch. There wa a small mixup with our order – maybe our fault and maybe theirs. The manager came by to ask what he could do for us, and we said nothing, the slip was trivial. Nevertheless they comped one of our lunches – unnecessary, but very gracious of them.
The waiter was too busy and which menu I ordered was file mignon that seemed like very hard to eat.
But the environment we liked much with family.
We called ahead because we were going to be late and they were very accommodating. Food was good they worked with us for our theatre curtain time and the frozen pomegranate margarita was excellent. Definitely recommend
Good food and great service from the bartender , my second dinner in a row there will go again soon
Great service and atmosphere. So convenient to Lincoln Center. Food is delicious. Friendly accommodations for gluten free request and menu is labeled nicely for GF and Vegan.
Unfortunately, Rosa Mexicano did not meet my expectations. I have been wanting to go to this restaurant since I lived in Washington DC. Maybe I can try a different location. Our server was on aware that Sunday was still a day that we could do restaurant week and gave us regular menus. Plus we had reservations through open table so it was because of restaurant week that we chose this restaurant. Disappointed...
I love this place and celebrated my birthday here with family and friends.
