Great place near Lincoln Center for yourself or to take friends or guests since it's a beautiful restaurant. Food is good too
I have no time for this job...the place was great!
Loved the fresh salsa, guacamole and tortilla chips! the pomegranate margarita was amazing! The food was delish. Great service as well!
Have eaten here several times in the past. Tonight service was very slow and poor attention to our table. Took an exceptionally long time to get our food.
Great. As usual.
Fresh guacamole made at tableside is a great way to start an enjoyable dining experience as you pick the regional cuisine you like best.
Reliably good Mexican food in an upscale setting at (for NYC) reasonable prices. Copious menu, with dishes representing all areas of Mexico. There may be more “inventive” Mexican food in NY (or Mexico); but everything we’ve had here in our numerous visits has been delicious and without sticker shock at meal’s end. Guacamole is a must.
This was our second time to Rosa - and the food was mediocre at best this time around. Unfortunately our server was inundated with a huge teen birthday party, so service was average at best. She was polite but we quickly realized it was not going to be as good as experience as the last time. When our food arrive, the carnitas was very dry and not nearly as flavorful as the first time around. The tableside guacamole is always a must, and their margaritas are great.
I enjoyed most of my experience. I felt that the $31 guacamole was insanely overpriced and didn’t like that we were approached by the guacamole maker before we even settled to our seat. The table was a tad tight. Overal the food was good, the tacos were okay but a little small.
Food and service is wonderful.
We got some street tacos, guacamole and shared a tiny pitcher of red sangria. Everything was delicious. Our wait staff was attentive and friendly.
My group of girlfriends and I loved this place! Delicious food, nice ambiance and great service !
The salmon salad used to include rice and beans and salmon portion was larger. It's a very good salad but not as good as before. The bowl salad was very good. I included chicken with it.
We loved our lunch! The guacamole was a wonderful start. Then our salads and quesadillas were delicious. We look forward to going back.
Very enjoyable evening!
Food was not well prepared and cold. Very surprising from this place
Incredible atmosphere and spectacular food. I absolutely love the new redesign to the menu. The plates are perfect and you are left satisfied after eating here. The drinks are another strong suit of theirs. I’m sure they‘ll have one suited to your liking. I’ve been coming to their restaurants for over 10 years now. Truly one of my favorite go to spots in New York City.
Food was mediocre and expensive. The best thing is the location to Lincoln Center.
Place is very nice. Service was good but the food was just okay. We asked for two appetizers got only one. We reminded that we ordered two. The second one came out at the same time as our dinner.
Absolutely, we had a lovely, lovely time and will happily return.
Lovely place for our pre-opera brunch
Service & food was wonderful. The Veracruz menu was excellent especially the pork loin.
Love this place for a meal before a concert at Lincoln Center. Noise level could be less and should confine music to downstairs bar area. Otherwise it's great!
Always a bit loud. Sitting down stairs helps a bit. Good great service a bit inattentive
Great ambiance and service! Have celebrated my birthday there a few times now.
Reliably good food and service. Can be very busy and loud so be prepared but well worth the noise and NYC jostling.
Rosa still rocks after all these years! Excellent! Great place to try mezcal and tequila drinks.
I really enjoyed the adult beverages, but that was about it.
The service was very friendly and professional. The guacamole prepared table side was fabulous. From there things went downhill fast. My chicken/steak/cheese combo fajitas style was very greasy and overcooked. My friend’s enchiladas were clearly not freshly made, but premade to be reheated when ordered. The flan for desert was not memorable. It was convenient to Lincoln center, which was biggest asset. I will look for other venues in the future.
The food was amazing and our server, David, did an amazing job at making sure we had everything we needed and in a timely manner. He also answered any questions we had about the menu. The tres leches cake is the best!
It used to be amazing food with an interesting gourmet Mexican menu. Now it's only slightly elevated basic Mexican food. They got rid of their signature braised lamb shank. Margaritas and guacamole are still excellent.
Great location and vibe inside but seems more like a tourist attraction. We ordered the gauc and tacs. Guac was excellent, tacos not so much - underwhelming to say the least. Also the portions were small, so not the best value. I prefer to go elsewhere for Mexican cuisine.
Went on “National Margarita Day” after a show a Lincoln center and the waiter didn’t honor the promotion of the day. Got the empanadas which were pretty tasteless and the steak tacos, which were good.
Festive and fun plus great food and Margaritas! Attentive wait staff
Having to wait for 20 minutes despite having booked a table was somewhat frustrating. The food was fine, but a little overpriced.
Receptionist was rude. She asked me if the second person in my party of 2 was present. I stated I did not know but wished to be seated. She then proceeded to ignore my request and immediately seated a couple that came in behind me. After waiting several minutes , I again requested to be seated when a second receptionist stated that the other member of my party had been seated before I arrived. There are lots of other good restaurants in the Lincoln Center area with receptionists that are competent and kind.
Overall good for the area, food wasn’t as flavorful as expected. Everything else was great.
Good food, although the portion size could be better. Drinks were good but the sangria was mostly ice which is a big no in my book. Over all very positive experience.
This is the Rosa's that use to be on 49th and 8th. I am so glad I found it. I have always loved Rosa's, great fond memories and more to come. The food price was reasonable for NYC but the drink price was too high for me. And I love their margaritas. I highly recommend Rosa's.
