The food was great and the service was excellent. I was beyond satisfied
We had a wonderful meal and service! I hadn’t been to Rosa in about 10 years and it was even better than I remembered!
beautiful restaurant. Greeted warmly and were seated early as we arrived early due to rain. Our server was excellent but a little over extended. The drinks were good not as spicy as I would like but still recommend the spicy mango margarita and the traditional margarita made spicy. The sizes were a bit small but not skimpy on the tequila. The spicy guac was mild to moderate at most but still good. I had the Carne Asade and it was prepared perfectly. The Carnitas were excellent as well my daughter entree. Both desserts were excellent and get the Cafe Mexicano with it. Over all it was excellent if the guac was actually spicy had a little more salt and lime juice and the drinks were more than 6 ounes at most it would be a five
I don’t like the changes they made with charging extra for chips when you order guacamole. Or not including rice and beans anymore with their entrées.
Great service. Loved the food
Great great food, great ambiance & great staff. The value for eating in the city is excellent
Quality not quite as good as the past. Didn’t mind the 6% surcharge, however, don’t nickel and dime and give smaller portions.
Guacamole smaller and have to pay for chips. Rice and beans excluded as included with meals.
Excellent food, though I'd appreciate some less fattening seafood choices
Thank you all at wonderful Rosa Mexicana. Great as usual. Outdoor table was good. Cold weather, but still great to meet friend and enjoy great drinks and food. Heaters helped. Thank you all‼️
Our server was amazing!
Lively food and ambience - great guac and margaritas
Expected more from food
Food was as delicious as always! Appreciated the Queso Fundido, even if not currently on the menu. Service was slow tonight; later found out they’re running on skeleton crew. Totally understandable. How is a restaurant to prepare for first weekend of indoor dining and anticipate how many guests will arrive? Thanks for remaining open and maintaining the high quality of your food.
The service was outstanding but the food lacked flavor.
We didn’t get a lot of attention from our server. After waiting an hour for entrees the steak arrived overdone, but I was too hungry to mention it, and our waiter didn’t even check on us until it was desert time. I was surprised. We have always loved Rosa and have always had a 5 star experience. I’m sure the first day being re-open indoors was a little rusty, and we still look forward to coming back.
Messed up my order. Too late wouldnt let me order food at 8:30. Terrible.
Our sever was very attentive, however, the chef/s was/were not so attentive to the orders, especially mines. I ordered a medium-rear steak and it was burn to ashes 1/3 of it. But, my wife’s order was well done and delicious, which she orders a salmon. Perhaps, the steak is difficult for some to cook well?
Thanks for the server who saved the night!
I will definitely recommend Rosa Mexicano but NOT the steak unless they like over cook steak!
Great! Food and service was really good. They did great at being covid safe.
Margaritas are fantastic as well as the food
Great! Food was good and environment clean.
Excellent food! Sangria was perfect.
Great Service!
Rosa is a lovely place to go for brunch, lunch, dinner. The service is great and the food it’s outstanding. And if you are going for drinks and snacks is also great! We love Rosa since we move to NYC!
One of the best Mexican restaurants in NYC! 🗽🇺🇸
This is my 3rd time here and it’s amazing everytime! Food and drinks are outstanding and the area/ambiance is great. Will be returning.
Thanksgiving dinner was amazing. The service was warm and inviting. Very spacious safe environment.
Had an amazing time. Food was great.
Best service I’ve had in NYC in a long time. Our waiter for brunch was so accommodating, friendly, and knowledgeable. I’ll be back!
Wonderful meal. Quality food. Great value.
I was so excited to try this place for the first time. Unfortunately the service was horrible.
The waiter, never asked if we wanted to order anything to drink.
Never came to refill water, throughout the entire night. The cups were absolutely empty.
We asked to order drinks, the waiter never asked if we wanted to other another round. So they are definitely missing out on money.
Oh well.
Very unhappy of the menu changes... took some of the best options off the menu... service a little slow but our waiter was still great.
Was not happy about being charged for the chips and salsa that was a bit of a cheap move since this was never a thing. Also the only spot that I’ve seen so far do the Covid 4% charge
Service was very slow Saturday night and we were continually having to try to find our waiter. The guacamole was not as good as usual.
Exactly what you would expect from an established restaurant
The food was so good. And so was the staff. The 2 staff personnel were very kind. The restaurant manager was accomodative enough to give us a private spot. The only thing I wish they provided quicker was the service. We were a party of 22 people and had to keep getting up and look for a waiter to take the orders. It was a birthday dinner and I was a little embarrassed to have my guests wait all the time.
I wish they had appointed Atleast 2 servers just to us, because we had made a reservation and A large order was expected .
Will definitely give a second though if I had to visit this place again only coz of the service time.
Went to celebrate my sisters birthday, everything was incredible, food was delicious, the guava margarita was to die for. We arrived earlier than our reservation and they were able to accommodate us and sat us down earlier. Definitely will be returning.
Charge you a corona surcharge
What a shame! I was expecting more as I had in my mind the thoughts of the old Rosa Mexicano: classy, tasty and unique! Theres not much left from that
Outstanding as always. It’s beyond amazing to be going back.
The service was attentive and the drinks were delicious! Rosa Mexicana created a safe environment that adhered to social distancing guidelines for indoor dining.
Love this restaurant and have come here and the original on first ave for many years. Always a good experience. Grateful to be able to dine in during COVID19 and feel safe and well cared for. The service was as professional as ever, but the menu and ambiance have fallen. Carpet needed to be vacuumed where we were seated and menu seems to have been altered with some favorites gone or scaled back. Pollo con mole was dry fried chicken no starch to complement it, the small side of radishes and mole were okay, but would not order again. Enchiladas were excellent. A good bar and nice selection of special drinks, but I do hope that COVID19 doesn't rob this amazing restaurant of its polish and high standards.
La prossima vez, yo quiero Las Mariaches! Grazias para la opportunidad celebrar Il Dia De Los Muertos!
