About Rosa Mexicano - Brickell
Our Florida location is in downtown Miami at Mary Brickell Village. The restaurant’s design creates a festive environment with bold, vibrant colors and features a tortilla-making station in the dining room as well as a dynamic 15-foot water wall with a legion of Acapulco cliff diver figurines. The outdoor bar and lounge offers an oasis in the middle of downtown, complete with a front row seat to the emerging neighborhood's activity. Whether you’re dining inside or out, the experience is exclusively Rosa Mexicano.

Rosa Mexicano - Brickell Ratings and Reviews
I used to love Rosa... I would go there on birthdays and special occasions. This time, I went out with some business associates hoping to garner favor and impress them with tasty drinks, quality Mexican food, and table side guacamole. First, the waiter was awful... not just awful, but douchey and awful. He either actively rushed us or left before we were finished placing each part of our order. Yes, we ordered water, appetizers, drinks, and food separately despite being ready to order all four categories of items when we walked in. The drinks were meh. I, in particular, ordered a margarita and, to quote Milton Waddams sitting on the beach after burning down Initech, "I said no salt, NO salt on the margarita, but it had salt on it, big grains of salt, floating in the glass." From the taste of it, the salt was also dissolved in the overaggressive lime juice margarita mix. The queso dip was lukewarm and already coagulated, the guacamole was not made table side (huge bummer), and, despite requesting no cilantro due to an allergy (yes, cilantro tasting like soap is technically an allergy), cilantro ran rampant throughout all dishes. The main courses were similarly mediocre. Like the appetizers, everything came out lukewarm so as to say "we are so busy that we could not bother to bring you your food as it became ready nor place it under the heating lamp to give off the appearance of freshness." Overall, I think my days as a customer of Rosa Mexicano have come to an end.
Food was excellent! We had the table side prepared guacamole , chicken enchiladas suiza.
Our service was slow. We asked for sour cream twice and finally got it when we had finished eating. The place was loud. We had a hard time hearing each other. Overall the people were very friendly and the food was excellent. I would recommend and would definitely return.
I was very disappointed by our meal at Rosa Mexicana Brickell. I have eaten at the ones in NYC several times and been happy. Although the atmosphere and service at Brickell were alright, the food was not good. It was also very pricey. I was sorry I wasted one of my vacation dinners at this spot.
When first opened years ago, I was a regular & frequent client , always enjoyed it. On this occasion I had clients visiting and they wanted " Mexican Food". Before making the reservation , I read the reviews on Yelp and became a bit hesitant, but knowing the place, I decided to go anyway. Unfortunately now I must agree with the bad reviews. Food was disappointing or just plain bad. Service was mediocre and only the Guacamole order lived to our expectation. So sorry because it has nice premises and excellent location.
The restaurant on Brickell was beautiful, great location, and rather quiet for Sunday evening. The food was overpriced for the quality, but the service was fabulous and the server was very accommodating even though our party came at two different times. Drinks were very good, and bartender was helpful!
Its Cinco de Mayo EVERYDAY at Rosa Mexicano Brickell. I dine out all meals - and Rosa is one of my favorite restaurants. They deliver not 'what they make' but what 'you are customed to eating' - extra spicy, less oil and low sugar...... etc... they go the extra mile to please if you have the right waiter.... I rate them as serving the highest flavor food in all of Brickell - some dishes are even better than our $300 tasting menu at the Biltmore.....
Terrible experience. We made reservations for this restaurant and no one explained to me that there was going to be a block party blocking the entrance to the restaurant. We had to work our way to the back of the restaurant to enter through a back door. To get our waiter's attention was impossible. He would take one order at a time then leave and come back. The restaurant was uncomfortably loud and noisy. They ran out of salsa for our chips, they ran out of carnitas on the menu. The worst part is they took reservations, how do you run out of food when you know how many people are expected to go to your restaurant? Our frozen margaritas were mostly frozen tequila, while other mixed drinks were mostly soda and watered down. We waited over an hour for our meals. It was a forced $40 per person pre fixed meal on this day, which no one explained to me when i made the reservation. So we had to get a dessert. We all ordered churros, but what all of us got was chocolate cake with the comment, we ran out there's nothing I can do. The waiter didn't even ask if we wanted another option. To top it off it took the waiter another hour to get our checks straightened out. When we spoke to the bar manager of all the other managers that were there, his answer to us was you shouldn't go out to restaurants on holidays...I'll remember not to go to Rosa Mexicano.
