Rosa Mexicano - Boston

The entire front room staff were extremely helpful and polite. The bartenders went out of their way to make sure I had a great experience. The food was delicious and the service was great!
My husband and I went to Rosa Mexicana with our 10 year old daughter. It was a really fun night. While I was hoping to experience the guacamole hand made at the table as I’d experienced in NYC, the fresh guacamole we were delivered was fantastic anyway! Our meals were delicious( I got salmon, my husband got the enchilada sampler, my daughter fish tacos). All arrived piping hot and tasty, The churros dessert is worth the trip all on its own. And our server was quick, cheery and fun - we’ll done!
The manager rearranged a table next to us and made a lot of noise moving chairs etc which really disturbed our evening. He needs to have more consideration for his clients. The food was OK but not up to my previous experience of Rosa Mexicano. The space is overall very noisy.
Food was excellent but service was very slow. Took 20 mins to get our first round of drinks and dishes were not cleared efficiently
Their chicken nachos are the best, super filling, flavorful. We go for them each time! Great table service provided by Elie! He was very prompt and provided a welcoming atmosphere.
Place was over crowded was hard to enter and exit. Had to pay extra attention because of the waiters walking around. Just imagine on one side of the table we couldn’t pull the chairs out and sit comfortably. The menu items was explain but not was expected. The ambiance of the restaurant was fantastic. Guacamole being made in front didn’t see the reason. If it was being made at each table ok but then again to crowded. Wanted to try this restaurant for a very long time and thinking of a good time to dine in Rosa clearly a mistake had so many options right on seaport blv .. Wasn’t so much the prices because spending time with family on special days is priceless. Recommendation space of the tables a little I know it was Valentines and maybe trying to accommodate everyone but as a first timer wouldn’t take my family there again. I couldn’t wait for my food to finish so we can leave. The upside the drinks was great.
I love it ❤️ Amazing service, delicious food, thanks for the best experience 👌👌👌
Great good and decor!
Everything was excellent!! Will definitely be back
Service was weird, entrees came out 10 seconds after ordering, before our drinks arrived, food was moderately warm, that quickly prepared had to be from the microwave.
The guacamole cart arrived when the ice cream was served for the kid.
Just all around jumbled, it’s been better.
The guacamole was delicious! The service was excellent! The meals were just not good. Uninspired.
Took a party of seven including two little girls. It worked out well - we had a large table with plenty of room for the girls to color. Everyone enjoyed the food, the service was good and we did not feel rushed even though it was Saturday night and pretty busy.
The guacamole was awful. One avocado for four people and way too much cilantro. It tasted like grass. The quality of the food does not compare to their NYC location, which we love.
Lovely time, went with my group of friends
My husband and I had a delicious dinner at Rosa Mexicano. The food and service were terrific (and we can be picky!). My only complaint was that it was very loud and we kind of had to shout at each other. I would like to try sitting in the bar area to see if it is quieter than the main dining room.
The food was alright, but I was expecting better. The restaurant has a nice ambiance and is in a good location. The service was great.
We had a great experience. Our waiter Eli was knowledgeable about the menu and was very personable. The food and atmosphere were great!
Great for food and amazing drinks. The table side guacamole is delicious, I can it it all by myself.
Great atmosphere, and food was delicious! Highly recommend!
Food was good. Service was slow but it was busy. Drinks are way over priced for what you get. Even beers are over priced for a bottled beer.
Really good food, maybe the best Mexican food in Boston.
The staff here is the most professional of any restaurant I have visited in a very long time! They really strive to please their customers. What a refreshing surprise! Will be back soon!
We enjoy good Mexican Food and are big fans of The Painted Burro in Somerville. We were hoping for a similar experience. Chips and salsa started out our meal. The salsa was watery and bland. We ordered queso, empanadas, and ceviche as apps. The queso was really thick and difficult to eat, but had good flavor. The empanadas and ceviche were underwhelming. The entrees were mostly good. My wife got a fish/gazpacho dish which she enjoyed, but our waitress couldn’t tell us what type of fish it was. My pork shank was also very good. My daughters thought their meals (tacos and enchiladas) were ok. The prices are 50% more expensive than The Burro and the food wasn’t close to as good.
We came to Rosa Mexicano for my son's 22nd birthday. Delicious margaritas and guac! Our meals were very tasty as well. They also did a nice job bringing out a birthday dessert and signing with a big sombrero!
We hadn’t been there in over a year, but remembered that we’d liked it then. This time the salsa was oddly flavorless and thin. The table sides guacamole was well prepared and as spicy as we’d requested, but it desperately needed a squeeze of lime juice to perk it up and a larger proportion of tomato chunks would have helped to add some needed acidity. Then came the queso fondido. The chorizo was very mild and contributed little other than some orange oil. But the last straw was the layer of green beans hidden underneath the cheese. Green beans? Did someone think that adding veggies would turn it into a healthy dish? We were so discouraged we didn’t even try to order main dishes.
The food was fantastic but it was so brutally cold in there I couldn’t wait to leave. They should address the cold blowing in from the doors.
If you are looking for casual, tasty and mid-priced Mexican food, I would give this place a try. It is not gourmet or fancy but provides for a nice dinner at a reasonable price.
My friends and I had a great time at dinner here. Our waitress was nice and very knowledgeable and went out if her way to have the restaurant sing happy birthday to one of us for our special day. I highly recommend coming here for a nice dinner and it would be a great date spot.
Took wife here for her birthday. She absolutely loved it! That's a win for me.
Guacamole wasn't very flavorful, not worth the price since you already get chips and salsa for free
Food amazing as always but it was a bit crowded due to New Years festivities. Overall it was fun, festive, music, free shots!
Came here for NYE, was disappointed when we had a long wait for our reservation. And then when they ran out of some of the prefix dinner desserts. However the staff was very nice and comped our first round of drinks and our dessert.
took them 30 minutes to seat us despite our reservation being booked weeks ago. the drinks were so bad we sent back every margarita pitcher which took 90 minutes to eve get to the table in the first place. food was sub par and took 2 hours to come out.
Great restaurant, great food and service! Made our New Year’s Eve a memorable one!
Hostess gave away our table 25 mins before our reservation. We were then blamed for arriving late. Seated 15 mins late. Manager did make it right by taking off a round of drinks. Sour taste in our mouth, no pun, though. They looked like they were in over their heads on New Year’s Eve. Our waitress was wonderful though. She had the New Years sash to boot
Good drinks, food was disappointing for the price.
Fantastic dining experience! All the staff were super welcoming to our two kiddos. The table side guacamole was so fresh and delicious.
Very nice locale half the price of the surrounding establishments Tableside prepared guacamole was awesome
Good food does not require paying $45+ for an entree
Unless Seaport plans to only for individuals with annual six figure + salaries
The food was very spicy. And for the quality of each meal was expensive.
