We have been to this restaurant and location before and usually have an amazing time. Something felt off Saturday night - perhaps short staffed? Food was generally good but I ordered the Tuna Ceviche which was terrible. It had barely any fish in a dish that is a fish dish! Children’s tacos had tons of veggies in them - Very nutritious, but should be noted - in case you have a kid who hates vegetables (as a lot of kids do!)
I already have and we are making plans for lunch. The guacamole is amazing.
All good. No problem
The guacamole prep at your table was a tasty treat. And there tequila list is long and diverse.
We had a great waiter who explained everything to us. Wonderful service.
Waitress came over, took our order, then never re-appeared. Another waiter came over, no drinks, we had to order all over again. Nothing on the menu was clearly listed so we didn't understand what sides came with which dishes. The music level was so loud, we had a hard time hearing each other. A woman at the next table, stood up then fell over. No one from the restaurant came to help her, my husband helped her up, she was clearly intoxicated and has fallen over drunk. Food was just okay, the steak fajitas were very tough, skimpy amount of veggies. My daughter ordered tacos, they were small and no flavor, my husband has the carnitas, he said they were okay, not spectacular. Quad was good, drinks were good but over priced. Decor was overdone.
Food was okay. Service was fine as well. Nothing that would make us say we have to go back. Or hat we won’t go again.
The restaurant is rather loud.
We would probably go there again sometime if we were in the area.
The food was good, but the service was terrible. A bowl of guacamole was plopped on the table with no chips for 10 minutes. It took another 10 minutes after some food had arrived to bring us utensils. We had to has two different servers. Our waitress didn't take our food order until an hour after we had been seated. As an apology for poor service our waitress tried comping some of our meal, but after we had seen the bill and gave a credit card her manager added those meals back on. This place is not equipped to serve the number of patrons it seats, and is clearly not interested in getting better. While I enjoyed my meal, it is overpriced for Mexican food, which would have been ok if it wasn't such a frustrating experience to eat here.
Food was fair, too crowded, seated near the front door and froze every time door opened, asked for another table but they could not accommodate. Much more enjoyable during simmer months when you can sit outside .
waitress can't manage time well that we waited about 20 minutes with an empty table just to get checked out, no water refill.
food was excellent, but the service was super slow and some items were forgotten. They did make up for it by not charging us for those items
I had high hopes for Rosa Mexicano but it was not the best experience. The chips and guac were tremendous but my main course (Rollo De Pechuga) was really somewhat dry. The venue seemed pretty busy (understandable, it was Saturday) with new staff meaning service did take a while (no forks, extra drink order being given to the wrong table).
This restaurant is set up for large groups. The service reflects this emphasis. Staff was busy setting up for the larger tables. Service at times reflected this distraction
Food and atmosphere was good. Wait time for food to arrive however could be faster
This is the best Mexican restaurant at which we have ever had the pleasure of dining. Delicious!!
.love the table side quac!!!
A very nice meal before going to Laugh Boston - quite convenient 8-minute walk each way. Freshly prepared guacamole was excellent and very flavorful. We both at La Unica margaritas which were very good, although probably a bit pricey for their size. I had the Tres Enchiladas with 3 different sauces, which was a nice way to do it, and the size was not so large that you end up regretting eating it all when your stomach catches up with what you've put into it. My wife at street tacos with zucchini, and I think she will opt for a different filling next time, as she said that this wasn't as flavorful as she'd like. The refried beans were excellent. We arrived at 5:45 and had an 8pm Laugh Boston performance to attend, and that was just about right, perhaps a bit too early (we couldn't book 6:00 and we erred correctly for 15 minutes earlier rather than 6:15 which would have been tight and made our meal far less relaxed and leisurely.
Great night with 8 people. Drinks were great, guac was very good and meal was okay. Our server was very nice but went missing quite a bit. We had to basically beg for a second round of drinks, with empty glasses for most if not all of us for a while, and had to ask another server for additional chips because we couldn't find our server any where.
I would go back but might just do apps and drinks.
I really enjoyed the location and the atmosphere in the restaurant. And we ordered the guacamole and they made it table-side which we all liked. But there wasn't too many options for dinner. All of the meals our table ordered were too spicy for us to even finish. I ordered fish tacos and received 3 tacos and only ate 1. No one at our table finished their meals due to how spicy they were. We can all handle spice but these meals were a lot. Also our server was inattentive and did not come back with water for us for a while. I would not recommend this restaurant.
A group of us went for a friends birthday our server was very rude and had an awful sense of humor. The food was nothing special by any means everyone just said there dinner was ok. I would only go back for the drinks and chips and guacamole.
While I had a reservation, we were still asked to wait. Then the hostess attempted to set us at a two top by the restrooms. When I said this would not be acceptable, she told us we would have to wait. Meanwhile, two women walked in off the street and were immediately sat in the dining room. The waiting, and the uncaring of the hostess, impacted my opinion of the welcome service. Once seated, it took a bit of time for the server to wait on us, and it was intermittent service at best. The food was absolutely amazing. The chips were fresh from the fire, and the guacamole is delicious. The mojitos were super strong, like they had been free poured. I had to mix coke with mine to even make it drinkable.
The service was not pleasant as the server was giving indifferent attitude, and then she forgot we ordered a dish of Taco which we waited for 20mins after we finished our previous dishes.
Felt like I was dining in the middle of a rock concert. Music blaring so loud that couldn’t hear the person sitting next to me. Suppose it’s a younger crowd feel. Service not very good. Took a long time to see a server, and then he disappeared for too long, too often. Food was decent. Nice ambiance, outside of the noise level. Won’t go back.
We heard so many good reviews, but we were SO Disappointed. We brought friends from Chicago, and we were embarrassed by the portion size and poor service. Our waitress was hard to find and offered no help with the menu. They forgot our guacamole and when it did come it was little more than a scoop for $16! They forgot our side of beans and rice......We actually laughed at the portion size of the tacos!! The waitress did not seem like she cared that much about our poor dining experience, no apologies when she did visit the table. Very overpriced and not worth the visit...so sad!
Our server was great, but the kitchen was incredibly slow and they weren't even full. Terrible music blasting, the food was what you would expect from a hotel restaurant.
Food and drinks are great and the service is beyond excellent! Great for a large group like we had (2 tables of 12 people) and the staff were so accommodating to us.
The good was not that great and it was over priced. The place was so loud that it was hard to have a conversation. Not impressed
Food is quite okay. Service is not the best and there’s a lot of noise - you barely can’t hear each other speaking.
This was a very very good Mexican restaurant. Our food was excellent but it seemed that the 20oz sangria pitcher they served up for seems shy of 20oz given that about 1/3 of it was ice. Felt a little cheated on the stated volume.
Food and drinks were excellent, our server seemed to be having a bad night and was generally annoyed when we asked for things. The other staff seemed friendly and accommodating.
A must have is the guacamole prepared at the table side.
I’ve been to other locations and they all have incredible service. This one was the exception. Food is still good if we leave aside the fact that 2 dishes that we ordered were sold out.
Hostess was so rude. As me and my friend walked in without a greeting she said the bar is closed. I asked for confirmation that so if I sat down for food, I can’t order a drink. She said we can have one drink but we would have to order food. I said I have a rsvp, she then said oh nvm and sat us down like the whole interaction didn’t happen. Waited a couple of minutes for yet another rude employee to come over and appears confused why we were seated. I’ve been here multiple times and never had dealt with this experience. I’m overall confused of why, maybe it was late and they all wanted to go home? Shouldn’t take the rsvp if they didn’t want to serve. We were there for a total of 40min. Was rushed out by the waitress 3 times. First time she came over asked how’s the food and we replied it was great and finished it and she can take it away. She didn’t take it away but she did placed our check down, did not asked if we wanted another drink, dessert if we’re ready for the check. I immediately gave her a my card without even looking at the bill because at this point I’m done with this place too. She came back seconds after I signed for it and asked to take the tab, then again to asked if we wanted to bring our drink to the bar...but I thought the bar was closed 40mins ago? Whole experience was awful, I stayed for the food and wished I didn’t because there’s so much more options in the seaport area. I’m never coming back.
Felt rushed to eat . Waiter either forgot about us or ask us everything all set too frequent
Great food and service.
Good but overpriced food. Service was great.
Service wasnt great. Lots if dirty glasses.
Wonderful experience, great guacamole, fabulous service and a great meal. Will definitely be going back.
Place was not packed at all yet even with reservations we were seated in an awkward spot near restrooms at a tiny table. It took forever for our waitress to approach us and when she did her attitude was not great. Food was as if it was premade frozen food. It was so cold we couldn't finish it at all. I have never been to a restaurant where I wanted to hurry up and leave.
