Rootstock, featuring our open air Rooftop is primarily a Wine and Bourbon bar, located in the lively Downtown District of Woodstock Ga. The venue offers a full bar with focus on wine from family owned, mostly organic vineyards. We pride ourselves on having a curated whiskey and bourbon list that is second to none. Rootstock hosts a modern kitchen, allowing us to offer gourmet food, including Tapas, Entrees, Salad, Soup, Dessert and Charcuterie. We are well equipped to host your special occasion events, from birthday celebrations to rehearsal dinners.
In 2017, our 2nd level entertainment space was erected onto the original 1908 building. This brilliant design offers spectacular 360’ views of the city. Excellent dinner! My wife and I made a reservation at Rootstock as we were attending a musical at the theater next door. Rootstock did not disappoint. We split a salad and our entrees were the eggplant lasagna and pork chop, which we also shared. Everything was perfect. Our server (David), was superb! He took excellent care of us. Very polite, personable and professional, he always checked in on us. We frequent Rootstock and this was one of our best experiences yet. Great job David!

On Saturday, June 24th I cam in with my family. Every time I come in, the hostesses don’t seem to know what to do because I gave a service animal. Last night I was told that there needs to be managerial approval in order to be sat and that “he’d have a few questions” for me. Once the manager showed up, it didn’t go well. They like to seat people with service animals as far away from other people as possible. This is not only annoying because I get sat next to the kitchen or in some corner of the upper deck. The tall manager is about the rudest person I’ve met. He regularly treats his staff poorly and mimics customers as he leaves tables. I’m a very observant person. I’m disgusted by the lack of training the hostesses have and the sheer arrogance and attempted intimidation by the manager. Don’t ever put your finger in my face again. Thank you.

Good food, small portions. When we arrived around 7 pm, we were going to be seated at a very small table for 2 in a very crowded area, although there were plenty of other open tables. Had to advocate to be moved to a table that was in a less crowded area. The hosts weren’t very happy. The open tables remained open until we left around 10 pm.

Venison with broccolini was cooked perfectly. Side of gnocchi was perfect for sharing with another. This restaurant never disappoints!

Came for Easter 1.30. Already ran out of muffins which were a menu item. Gave us knives to stir our coffee as there were no coffee spoons available
