Such great food - small plates with a great wine. Beautiful patio dining. Service was perfect with a staff who seems to love helping diners have the best experience possible. A+
Food is great and beautiful setting!
Really love this place. Lots of interesting choices and a lovely atmosphere!
WHOOOAAAA!!!! Place is awesome, the Atmosphere and decor is truly awesome and suitable for any audience. Food was awesome and the value for the cost cant be beat, even with a limited but variety filled menu. Staff is truly the best of all my experiences - Very Welcoming and Attentive Service. A must visit for all even with the kids incase you cant find a sitter or just plain get away from them.
It’s a great experience at Roots. The ambiance is very welcoming and charming. Amazing wines, ciders, food and service. The outdoor space is unique and there is live music every Thursday. The vegan eggplant was to die for!
Staff are extremely knowledgeable and make great recommendations.
Don’t recommend at all. I can’t believe it has the ratings it has and the food was very disappointing especially given how pricey it is. We ordered samosas to share they arrived and were cold.
I ordered the salmon thinking it would have a fair serving of veggies I got 4 small carrots and meal was cold.
Kids burger was undercooked and cold.
Vegan gyro was very dry.
I don’t mind paying high end pricing for really good food but this was very disappointing and not worth it.
The ambience is horrible. I felt like I was in the wedding singer movie and it’s sparsely converted church or old community hall. Won’t go back again.
Only saving grace was they credited us for the food we complained about.

Can you contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org so we can reconnect? Sincerely, Roots Team
This was our first time at Roots. We sat outside on the grass under a tree. Great atmosphere, great food, and great service. We had a wonderful date night. What a awesome hidden gem in Broomfield. Look for this gem, it is worth it!
My fiancé, future sister-in-law, and myself decided to try this place out since we just moved from denver to broomfield. My future sister-in-law has a service animal and they greeted all of us including her dog. When we sat down the hostess came back out with a dog bowl full of water and a treat for him. Our waitress was on top of everything. I had forgotten my jacket and we were sitting outside and they even brought a blanket out for me. The shakshuka was delicious. Highly recommend.
Outstanding restaurant. Perfect place for any occasion. Would 10/10 recommend and return
Excellent food, lots of options, lovely ambiance, live music. We’ll be back!
Food was delicious and the turamisu was fantastiv.
Nice variety! Tasty samplers. And we enjoyed the music in the gazebo!
The setting is lovely. Being able to sit outside in a nice yard is always a win for brunch. The service was great - everyone was friendly and attentive. I'm vegan so I ordered the vegan tofu scramble (which came with a pad of dairy butter?). I also wish I had known that my Bloody Mary would come with two pieces of *bacon* in it. :-/ Other than that, we all enjoyed our meals and I'll definitely be back since this is in my neighborhood. I'm looking forward to trying more of the international offerings on the menu.
I had the ribeye steak for 35$ and was very disappointed in the poor quality of the meat. It was tough and full of gristle. Way overpriced ! We will not return.
The steak was not worth $35 but everything else was good. Not great, just good.
This was our second visit to Roots and I wish we had discovered it sooner! The vegan/vegetarian options are delicious everything is beautifully prepared. Our service has been great on both visits, with considerate and friendly staff. The outdoor setting and music sets such a relaxing atmosphere, it feels like a retreat and I don’t want to leave. We’ll be back soon.
Was expecting more. Food was just okay, nothing great for the price.
Great food, great service, lovely setting
Super friendly staff! I ordered the chicken and waffles and it was delicious, I will definitely be coming back!
Loved this place for brunch. Their biscuits n gravy was amazing.
It was a nice environment, we got married there 11 years ago and got the deal on Groupon to show our kids. I would say the brunch was ok, the price for the portion you got was high. I mean $10 for 2 pancakes and nothing else, is high to me. My biscuits and gravy had barely any gravy, and I had to buy eggs separately. My husband had the burrito, he said it was good, but way smaller than what he’s used to getting other places. My son got a small glass of OJ and it cost $4. When we left, our kids were still hungry even after having the ordered from the regular menu, not the kids, they are 7 & 10. I would say, based on the food and what you get for the price, I will not be back. Luckily I had the Groupon, so that cut some of the cost.
Wonderful! Everything was delicious, our igloo was heated and very comfortable - Great ambience & delicious food hidden in Broomfield
This is a fun place. It looks like an old church sanctuary ( maybe it is) in a residential area. I felt like I was at my grandparent's country club. The menu was interesting and the food was good but not outstanding. The staff were very pleasant. We did enjoy having cloth table cloths and napkins.
The music was very nostalgic. I kept think it would be a great place for a "Tina and Tony's wedding performance". If they had a Tina and Tony wedding I would be there!!!
Fabulous food, Wonderful service, beautiful space.
Food: The pork with coffee/caramel sauce was delicious, as was the bread pudding.
Space: They took one big open room and added beautiful, movable dividers, spaced strategically around or between the tables which added a modern vibe to what would otherwise have been a very boring space.
Service: Our waiter, Alex, provided excellent service.
The host who seated us had a really cool 50s jazz club maître d’ look with his white jacket and sophisticated presence (despite is young age). :)
Love this place. I’ll be back!
Burger ordered medium was raw in the center, French toast was undercooked (raw egg), chicken sausage was rubbery.
Waffle fries were good. Drinks were decent.
Service was good and a poorly made drink was removed from the Bill. Staff was very nice.
Overall solid service, but sub par food and cooking.
This was my first dining-in experience since the pandemic started and my first time at Roots. The food was high quality and tasty and there were some good wine choices. The restaurant is spacious inside, with good social distancing and service was as contact-free as can be expected. I will definitely be going back to sample more menu items.
We're glad you enjoyed your visit and hope to see you again to try our dinner and our brunch options!
Delicious! The outdoor seating is beautiful. Came here a few times already! The brunch was amazing, I recommend the pancake flight and the international food. The dinner has amazing choices but the bread pudding is to die for!
Thank you for the kind review! We hope to see you soon when our gorgeous patios open up for spring!
Shared a bottle of delicious Cotes de Rhône with our meal of Caramel Coffee Pork and Fish & Chips. The Beet Napoleon salad was arranged beautifully on the plate and was very tasty as well. Our server took great care of us without being intrusive. It was a lovely experience on their patio on a spring evening!
That's great to hear! If you'd like to describe more of your review so we know what we are doing well, feel free to send us an email at email@example.com m!
The food was wonderful as I had the Salmon and thought every bite was delicious as well as the carrots. My salad needed more dressing and the size was so small I was completely surprised at the portion size.
Thank you for the feedback! We're glad you enjoyed yourself and we will work on those salads asap!
Roots continues to be a gem in the neighborhood. I am never disappointed with their food, ambiance or service. It is always a good experience. Food is definitely the driver. I enjoyed their cultural menu...Ireland! Great experience as always.
Thanks so much for the review! We're glad you enjoyed and hope to see your for our Taste of Colorado this month and next month!
Food was great! Service was ok.. nice place to go
We ordered the vegan prix fixe entree and our server brought us pork. We were then told that they had run out of the vegan entree and we would have to wait some time for them to make it from scratch. When the vegan entree arrived, it was cold. The pork entree was added to our bill erroneously. Lastly, they forgot to give us the 10% discount for MeatOut Day and there was no way to fix that since we had already paid. The food wasn’t anything special and the wine was overpriced. I could have cooked a better meal at home and save the $180.
The service and food were excellent. This converted space is very nice with a calming open atmosphere. Currently, tables are sufficiently spaced out inside to allow for regulations and there are very cute outdoor igloos you can reserve. Our server was excellent and knew the menu well. We chose their monthly themed price fix menu and it was delicious. This place is a bit more expensive than casual dining but well worth the price for a 4-course meal. My husband is pretty picky and even he enjoyed the expereience.
Hi Mechelle! We're glad you enjoyed your experience! Our monthly menu next month is "Taste of Colorado" with tons of fresh local Colorado ingredients. We hope you'll come check us out for that!
We went to brunch for the first time. It was just ok. They have bottomless mimosa's but you only get to choose orange juice. They have other mimosa flavors but did not offer them in bottomless which was disappointing. The food lacked flavor both my husband and I had to salt and pepper everything and still was pretty bland. The service and staff were nice and the restaurant is large would be good for big parties or events. We just wish the food was better.
The service was great as were the entrees. The meat and cheese tray was lacking... 4 small pieces of meat and the crackers reminded me of something I’d buy at Costco. The price for our meal was good though, and more than reasonable for the entrees. The ambiance was a bit dismal but that can be attributed to COVID restrictions. All in all, a good experience.
Hi! Thank you for the constructive feedback. Our chefs are working hard to see this feedback and make sure we are redirecting our efforts to create quality products for the price. We hope that we will see you again in the future!
Would not go here again. Sat inside. This isn’t much of a restaurant, it is an old church with tables set up. It was like eating in a banquet hall. Food was fine, not bad, not great. Drinks not good, service OK. We were the only table on a Friday night at 6:00. Service should have been great.
Hi Laura, We are sorry to hear that your experience was subpar. Our building has never been a church, but has been around since the 50's which explains the architecture. We are currently working on revamping and relaunching our dinner menus and currently working on redirecting our training to ensure quality and consistency. We hope you will give us another chance in the future!
I love having a creative vegetarian restaurant nearby. The food was delicious. I can’t wait to experience it during the summer with the lovely outdoor options can’t wait to go back
We're happy to provide you with a great experience. Our summer gardens are lovely and we can't wait for you to experience them either!
I was recently in the area visiting some friends so we had a girls night out at Roots. My friend lives nearby and had seen it and wanted to go. Our server was outstanding! Super helpful and efficient! Ambience is a little lacking- it is obvious that this is a renovated event hall. Not super cozy. Also, at some point someone went into a storage closet and left the door open when they were done so for a big chunk of our evening I was looking into a closet and a dirty mop and bucket while eating! Yuck! Overall the food was pretty good, but nothing stood out to make me say “wow!” The best part of the meal was the wine and the server. Like I said, she was amazing and we would return just for her.
Hi Krista, We really appreciate your feedback. We are hoping that, as we get closer to the summer months, that we will be able to bring about a little more decoration and warm the ambiance up a bit. We are sorry for our server making this mistake, and hope that this will not happen again in the future!
Always, always good at Roots!
We are so glad you have had continually good experiences here!
Nice inside but felt more like a catered meal than anything else .
Hi Michelle, Thank you so much for your feedback, it's only through these that we can learn how to be better. We were originally a catering company before the restaurant so our "roots" are pretty strong in that arena. We are working on doing a complete ravamp and relaunch here within the next month in order to remedy this issue. We hope you'll give us a chance in the upcoming months
