Root Down aims to connect the neighborhood to a dining experience in the same way ingredients are connected to food. There should be a seamless bond between the elements and experience, which stimulates the senses and draws people in.

Root Down serves “globally influenced seasonal cuisine,” which basically means we go where inspiration leads us. We’re not tied to one style or genre—we’re hoping to create one of our own.

At Root Down we pride ourselves on striving to solve the ‘Omnivore’s Dilemma.’ We have created a dining spot where all dietary needs will be accommodated, including vegetarian, vegan, raw and gluten free; also allergies or intolerances are always handled professionally by the kitchen team. Our menu has icons reflecting this philosophy, though we always request you notify your server of specific needs. We look forward to seeing you soon!

We managed to find a table and hour before our reservation at Root Down. We arrived early to resturant and had to wait it out in the bar area. The staff at the door was not the most responsive and/or helpful. Thus our immediate experience was confusing. The bar staff was very pleasant as well as our table server. All in all, a good experience.

We took our family here for a pre-New Years dinner. We loved the food and the service was superb. We actually drove from Boulder on a very cold night and it was definately worth it. Our daughter is looking to move to this area and we can't wait to try it again!

Food was good but service was rushed. Received meals 2 min after receiving our apps. This is the second time this has occurred to us at Root Down. Do not think we will be back.

Food was delicious and the server was friendly. I had the parsnip soup and share a lamb slider entree. Both were very good. The soup was smooth and tasty, with some crunchy bits on top. The two lamb sliders came on a plate with sweet potato fries and one slider was quite satisfying. Comfort food, with a unique twist.

Came to Root Down with my family in January. We were so excited to try this place after hearing so many great reviews. We came in on a Saturday and were happy to see that they were serving their brunch menu! Everything we had was absolutely DELICIOUS. Fresh, creative, unique. Can't wait to come again.

I've also now made it a habit to get to the airport early to enjoy the Root Down at DIA. Always a great experience. It's nice to get a great meal and drinks in the airport!

Like the title says, this place is always awesome. It doesn't matter if it's brunch or dinner, the menu is always changing, and the food and service are always solid.

We ate here for Christmas eve dinner and the food was pretty good. The service was a little slow, but once we got our food, it was good. While we all enjoyed it, nothing blew me out of the water or anything. I would recommend it for people who care about knowing where their food comes from and those with dietary concerns/sensitivities.

Each season's menu has something delish for everyone from the vegan to the meat and potato types. Perfect place for an evening out with my foodie girlfriends as well as a festive holiday outing with my more down home family. The service is friendly and the view of the Denver skyline from the deck in the Summer is lovely. Highly highly recommend!

Root Down never disappoints, from the fresh, amazingly delicious, and innovative food to the bottomless mimosas. The wait staff is efficient and friendly, and the atmosphere is upbeat. You can't go wrong with this restaurant or anything on their menu.

Once again RD hit the high mark they aim for. They always have interesting combinations that are sure to be spot on. We had the antelope special, short ribs, and the cod. Along with several small plates. And now they have other desserts to give the banana creme brulee pure some competition. But we still had the pie .... But that word doesn't begin to do justice to the dish.

Everyone at my table of four was impressed by the quality of the food preparation at a recent Saturday brunch. I have never had better sweet potato fries; they were perfectly cooked, crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside and just the right amount of salt to drive home the natural flavor of the potato itself. My husband loved the huevos rancheros, a familiar dish enhanced by some surprising ingredients.

My 16 year daughter and I had brunch at Root Down before Christmas shopping last Saturday. She is a vegetarian and I am gluten-free. We had a small order of the pancakes(gluten-free) and a small order of the banana bread french toast to start. Then we shared the tofu scrambled and the kale/brussel sprout salad. Everything was amazing!! I love that we could have small orders of the pancakes and french toast because we wanted to taste as many things as possible. Te tofu scramble was delicious!!! Definitely our favorite dish. We shad a a great time and lots of energy to shop all day! Our server was friendly and attentive and knowledgable. I can't wait to go back again!

Fantastic food at Root Down. We got there a little early before the dining room opened and so had a drink the in bar, the selection and prices were great but the service was a little lacking. Once we got seated for dinner we were not disappointed, both the food and service were great.
