Rooster's Wood-Fired Kitchen - Uptown Ratings and Reviews
I ordered the one-quarter chicken natural, no barbeque sauce. I can honestly say it was the worst tasting chicken I have ever had. I think it may have been tainted.I could not eat it. My wife ordered the one-quarter chicken with barbecue sauce and although hers was better, it was also undercooked in spots. We will not be frequenting Rooster's again. Also the place is too noisy to carry on any conversation, at least where we were seated. Waiter was good, and the drinks were good, but that was it.
Picked Rooster’s at the recommendation of a friend and so glad we did! Ricky was fantastic tonight! He was very patient when he had to describe the charcuterie items more than once to us and when we were indecisive about our main courses. All of his recommendations were delicious.
We were very pleased with our experience and definitely will be back!
We went to Rooster's to celebrate a late valentines day dinner, and there is a lot of variety with the food, and it was very good. They brought out bread for us while we decided what we ordered, water was refilled very quickly, waiter was great, wine and beer list were very long and very tasty, Mac & cheese came in a cute small cast iron and was very good. Reasonably priced, some things were on the more expensive side but they had a lot of options that were not expensive at all! Will definitely be coming back
Went to dinner before a concert. Short walk from the Aloft hotel and then to the arena. Had a reservation and they seated us promptly upstairs. Our server provided very good guidance on our beer order from their own offerings. Appetizer was their wings which were very good and hit the spot. and we split a salad. We also were provided fresh bread with olive oil. My wife had the burger and thought it was excellent. I had the shrimp, which were ok. Seasoning was not very memorable and the shrimp were on the soft side of being fully cooked. The onion rings we ordered were ok, nothing special. Atmosphere was very nice. Had a seat were we could see the kitchen and wood burning oven. It was a rainy night but on a nicer night they have outside seating. If we happen to go again (we were visiting from Raleigh) we would stop in but I would try something different on the menu. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu and beers which helped. The staff was attentive in clearing or table after each course.
One of us had been to Southpark location a couple of times, but first time for both at Uptown. We have walked by enroute to shows and it always smelled incredibly good, so we planned ahead this time. Great food, although slightly difficult to follow the menu. Even so, wife declared it as an immediate Top 5 favorite in Charlotte after just one visit.
Not overwhelmingly pleased with the service.
We come here a lot as a group, and this trip was not ideal.
Was a huge hassle for the staff to accommodate two more guests, even with a phone call 2 hours prior to the reservation.
Not seated with enough space, even after stating that we would sit outside if we were the only group out there.
Went to dinner with friends. Rooster's uptown has a great location, great food, great service just like all of the Noble restaurants. Fresh ingredients as always, seasonal menu keeps it interesting. Smoked wings were wonderful, Red snapper was awesome, pasta dishes were incredible. I highly recommend Rooster's.
We had reservations before a play at the Blumenthal Theater. Unfortunately, we were placed at a table directly in front of the kitchen. This made it too loud for easy conversation. It was a very high traffic area which would not be preferred with a reservation.
The food was delicious and will definitely be back, just not on a special occasion or a weekend.
Everyone in our party felt they had a fantastic meal. The quarter chicken was tender, juicy, cooked to perfection. Both the natural and BBQ options were very good. The sides were equally satisfying, especially the roasted corn, au gratin potatoes, and blackened carrots (the last being a special for the day). Service was attention and friendly. Would highly recommend Roosters.
We were a party of 6 for Pre-theater dinner. The was welcoming and prompt. Our table service was friendly and attentive. The menu was a bit hard to follow; our server was helpful to "navigate". The seating was a bit cramped and we were a little uncomfortable with the tight quarters. The food was good bit a bit pricey especially on some basics like pizza and a burger.
All in all. we enjoyed our meal and the energy of the restaurant. A very good experience and we would recommend Rooster's to our friends.
Our dinner club planned a night out for dinner, a hornets game and to celebrate a birthday in the group. We had early reservations and they were prepared for us. The food selection was wonderful along with the uniqueness. Everyone had great things to say about flavor and presentation. So that's 10 happy people for a great start to the evening.
We had dinner with another couple before going to the theater. Shannon was our server and she could not have been anymore pleasant. We had salmon, chicken and short ribs, with sides to share of mac&cheese, brussel sprouts, corn and au gratin potatos. Everything and I mean everything was wonderful. Can't wait to go back. Surely one of the best dinners we have had in Charlotte.
