Loved this restaurant! From the atmosphere to the food and the service. It was amazing !
Great place to get southern food. Staff went out of their way to make sure we had what we needed.
Excellent dinner before a concert. Food was great especially the braised beef and potato gnocchi. Highly recommend. Also. Calamari was best I've had.
Everything was perfect from the food to the service to the ambiance!
Overall, I enjoyed the decor, the great staff, and the food. Even though my food was a bit too overpowering on the taste but they were so kind and worked with me! Definitely recommend this place.
Great food and even better service. We will definitely come back next time we are in town
Stopped for dinner before a show. Food was delicious. Service was great. Very loud but we will definitely return.
Hadn't been to Roosters since it reopened. The service is great and the staff is so friendly and personable. The scallops were fabulous and the flank steak was tasty. We were disappointed in the onion rings and the brussel sprouts. Both were too salty and just couldn't eat. The manager saw that we didn't eat them and asked why and was apologetic and took them off the bill which I commend. The service is exemplary. Hoping it is a one time thing as we enjoyed roosters in the past.
Our first time back since the fire and covid-19 pandemic. We always go before shows at the Belk Theater. The best thing about our experience was our server! He had been working at Rooster’s the night of the fire. It is nice to see dedicated employees coming back to somewhere they left off before the pandemic. The food was incredible and we loved our dessert! Highly recommend for show nights as you can park in their garage, have your parking validated and walk over the sky bridge to get to the theater!
Lovely evening. Everything was great. All our entrees and sides were delicious!
Took my lady there for our anniversary, the only other finer dining we have done in Charlotte was at Fahrenheit. I have to say I will 1000% be coming back to Roosters, I didn’t get my servers name but he was the best server either of us had ever had, my tea never got below half full before I had full one sitting next to it waiting for me and my girl never had the ice in her water melt away before she either got new water or more ice, the food was fantastic I got the flank steak and made sure to only eat half of it so I could enjoy the other half another time lol, my date got gnocchi and duck and she’s never had duck and not much of one to experience new things but she loved it, the potato wedges were amazing as well as the Brussel sprouts which we used as starters, and the only part of the food that I wasn’t overly impressed with was the Mac and cheese. But like you can’t really mess max and cheese up, it was still very good, just overly simple for $12, still enjoyed it. Since it was our anniversary they offered us dessert for free but we were too stuffed to accept. Thanks Roosters for a great experience and we look forward to coming back! -Michael L.
Our waiter had a “nonchalant “ attitude. He didn’t come by to check on us as often as he should have.
The food was just delicious! Scallops in a creamy tomato sauce - perfect! Fried corn -awesome. Mac&cheese - wonderful! Everyone enjoyed their food - grilled shrimp, crostini and pimiento cheese, salmon & rice, hummingbird cake and coconut cake. All top notch. The only criticism might be that there was too much dressing on the salad. Perhaps serving it on the side is a better idea. Our server, Ricky, was very busy but very pleasant & efficient. All in all a great time and a great meal was had by all.
Ricky was a great server and the food was outstanding!
The food was delicious and the service was great!
What a fabulous restaurant. Delicious rotisserie chicken, generous and interesting olive appetizer, wedge salad crisp and tasty, fresh bread and oil. But the service is the best part. Had to adjust our reservation twice due to traffic and hostess (Rebecca?) could not have been nicer. Our servers were knowledgeable about the wine list and on top without hovering. Excellent all around
Great service from Pam and the other gentleman. Always there to assist on what we needed
Conveniently located, friendly, focused staff, food was tasty. Overall great experience
Great food, great service. The short ribs were superb
I love this place and eat here often. Glad they’re reopened after such a long hiatus. Don’t let the fancy descriptions fool you, the menu is delicious.
Food was good , we over ordered the amount …don’t like to waste food . Service was good . I would definitely go back
Delicious and high quality!
Great time and great food! So happy the uptown location is reopened
I love you let’s get married
The service was great but the menu didn’t have the same items listed on the website. My guests had already pre-selected their choices before arriving to the restaurant.
Our meal was excellent, as well as the service. Very happy went dined here while in Charlotte.
It was my first time at this establishment! It certainly will not be my last. Everything was so excellent, from the food to the service!!
Delicious food. Attentive wait staff. Parking is validated which in uptown is a huge plus. I will be back soon.
Everyone was friendly and the food was great.
The one glitch was they showed us to a booth that could not accommodate one of our large guests. It was embarrassing that the hostess did not notice that there was no way the other couple could fit in once the table was shifted to the other side. They did accommodate us at a four top after discussion. But it was embarrassing to our guests.
Loved our dining experience tonight! Manager is awesome- comes around to tables - even in the bar- to check on patrons. Taylor the hostess is very accommodating , pleasant & efficient!
Great food, friendly staff
Was looking forward to the hanger steak. Not on the menu anymore per our server there is a shortage. Ordered the skirt steak prepared the same way as the hanger steak and the meat was not good! Otherwise all was great. We frequented this location a lot prior to the fire and we are so glad they are back open.
We enjoyed cocktails and appetizers before we went to the Jazz Room
The food, service, and ambiance was wonderful! We had show tickets so our server was very attentive to our needs and time.
Service was impeccable. Hostess sat us in the open dining area outside the restaurant at my request. Waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu, made suggestions and was quite personable. Food was, as always, delicious. Of course I ordered my favorite, the fried oysters. They never disappoint!
Great night with friends...wonderful vegetable choices!
I LOVE this restaurant. I come from Raleigh to eat here. You will not be disappointed. It’s simple food done pretty simple but there is a twist. I make fried corn but it’s not like theirs. I make Brussels sprouts with bacon that are good but theirs is divine. Don’t get me started on their Mac and cheese. It’s simple but there is wood fired magic in this food. Just go. And DO NOT miss the pickled local vegetable relish plate. Eat it while you peruse the menu. You’ll be back I guarantee.
Service was great, I was disappointed they didn't have some of the appetizer options they've had in the past. Overall good food the side options are generous portions so great to share. Our waiter was very attentive as was the rest of the staff. We will be back soon.
