Rooster's Wood-Fired Kitchen - South Park Ratings and Reviews
I'm loving Rooster's. I've been going on a regular basis for a few months now because I'm addicted to their ever-changing specials menu. They've turned me on to all sorts of veggies that I never knew I liked! Who knew that I like beets? Well, I do if Rooster's prepares them. Never disappointed in any of the menu items at Rooster's. I'll be back next weekend!
My husband had the tomato basil soup which was very tasty. He also had the wings with the dry rub. I had the salmon and we shared the potatoes au gratin. We both enjoyed everything and the serving sizes were more than ample. The restaurant has a cool vibe and the service is very good. Will definitely return on our next trip to Charlotte.
Rooster's South Park is the kind of place where you always ask yourself, why haven't we been back sooner. This evening meal was great. The service was super. It appears Rooster's hasn't followed the trend of barely enough servers to just keep up. Plenty of folks helping each other. We shared an iceberg salad which was much better than eating a whole one. Very good. My wife had the duck confit which was excellent. My hanger steak was as good as usual. Our two sides were mushrooms and fried corn. Both very tasty. Our server was very good, attentive, friendly, not overbearing. Perfect...
We'll be back sooner!
They were great about accommodating my party of 7 at the Southpark location even though I had inadvertently made reservations at the downtown Roosters by mistake. They did have to put me in a back room that was extremely loud. Our food was great, and initially the service was very attentive. As our meal progressed, our service level dropped a bit and there were long waits between visits to our table. All in all, it was a good meal with decent service.
Food was delicious, as always. Brisket burger was wonderful, half BBQ chicken moist and delicious, sides are expensive, but the fried corn is a winner. Requested a back quiet table, and they seated us in quiet private dining room away from the front room din. Service was enthusiastic and lovely. Very nice experience.
The food, drinks, atmosphere and service were excellent and perfect for entertaining out of town business guests. Favorites included hanger steak, salmon, potatoes au gratin, macaroni and cheese, and succotash. We had coconut cake, bread pudding and the brownie dessert afterward along with great Cabernet and bourbon throughout the evening. We returned the next night and ate and drank in the bar. Rooster's is consistently the best restaurant in South Charlotte!
Great time tonight at Rooster’s! Our first time and it was a catch-up dinner with friends from out of town. Kyle was handling our table and he was informative and helpful in guiding our selections. The food was fantastic and flavorful! Inventive items at the bar and on the food menu. Will certainly be back when I’m in the area again. Thank you!
Delicious meal and fabulous service!! Server was very knowledgeable about menu and provided great suggestions. I scheduled this meal for a business/company dinner. I received great praise for the restaurant selection and success of the meal. Thanks for making that happen! I would recommend highly recommend Rooster's for a business meal or personal dining experience.
Better than expected after a few years since the last visit. Has a farm-to-table vibe with lots of creative items on the menu. My wife had chicken, which she loved, and i had the beef short ribs - excellent! The other couple we were with had wings & a burger - loved theirs too. Apps leave a little to be desired. I ordered smoked salmon. It looked & tasted like it had been smoked long enough to survive a journey across the atlantic in the 1700's. Avoid it. Kelly was outstanding server. Smart. Funny. Knew the menu really well. We will def return
Once again Rooster's did not fail to please us well. Although we have become fixed on the same menu, there are always additions that delight. The timing and care of the servers was perfect. My wife loves the hangar steak and I am addicted to the short ribs. Started with calamari - very delicately prepared. The sides are always a delight and fun to try and share. Jim Noble has a classy act in his two Rooster's restaurants. Thanks
My husband and I dined on a busy Friday evening. Since the dining room was full and most outdoor seating, we sat at the bar to eat dinner. The bartender recommended a good red blend, it was delicious and only $7 a glass! Our order was out pretty quick to have such a full dining room. I had the short rib and my husband had the wings and we shared mac & cheese, fingerling potatoes and broccoli. It was all very delicious. The short rib was buttery goodness, no need for a knife. The wings were flavorful and the mac and cheese was a cheese lovers dream. While eating, we were asked two times if we needed anything and how the food was by two other members of the wait staff or maybe they were managers, not sure. Our bartender also checked in on us often. Too full for dessert so, we asked for our check. We used an Open Table reward and they graciously accepted it. Overall a great dinner and very courteous wait staff. Will definitely return.
We stopped into Rooster's for a very quick dinner, as we had plans elsewhere and needed a quick bite. Our waiter understood our need for expeditious service and performed admirably. I had the BBQ chicken while my wife had the Salmon, we shared sides of spinach and fingerling potatoes and each had a nice glass of Duckhorn Sauvignon Blanc which paired nicely. Nice atmosphere and the food was great. Would love to go back when we had the time to really enjoy.
