Food is great but lighting is too bright and industrial and the noise level is quite high.

this was my first visit and I will come back again. Food was very good, the waiter was GREAT, and the atmosphere was comfortable and casual.

The food was great, but we made a reservation for our party of 8 and ended up being seated in what basically looked like the hallway of a shopping center with a construction site right next to us. It was a drastic departure from the ambiance in the main dining room which seemed much nicer and more comfortable. Our server was surprisingly inattentive as well. I would go to Rooster’s again, but I think I would go to the Uptown location instead.

Side dishes were excellent-pork chops a little tough but short ribs were excellent and the Caesar salad was very good. Great spot!

This was my third time at Rooster’s. I found them by mistake, driving to find a place to eat and saw a lot of cars. This is now my go-to place in Charlotte. Food is basic but expertly prepared, seasonal. Service always excellent. I love the relaxed feeling. Highly recommend the chicken and the short rib.

everything was great, though the nashville broccoli could have been waaaaay more spicy...the pork shoulder, mac and cheese and ravioli were all highlights!

Although the spinach and beets were fresh and tasty, the soggy fried oysters were a downer (my main course).

Great food. The spicy chicken wings and barbecue chicken were amazing. For sides we had corn, Mac and cheese and frites. They were all very good. Our server was very friendly and attentive.

I have always went to the Rooster’s located Uptown and love it. Thought I would try out the SouthPark location. It’s just like the one Uptown. Food and atmosphere still amazing!

I cannot say enough good things about Roosters. This is, by far, my favorite restaurant in Charlotte! I have never had anything that wasn't amazing. The short rib... the wings... the pan fried corn... the roasted beets... the pastrami... the cheese board... the old fashioneds.. its all great! Love coming to Roosters and supporting Jim Noble.

We love Roosters, so we're usually here a few times per month. This past Saturday, we had the BBQ carrot special and the grilled apples special. Both were delicious. We also had the beef short rib and a side of grits, which are our 'stand-by' choices when we can't make up our mind. Again, all was delicious. You can cut the short rib with your fork it's so tender. We finished things off with the bread pudding, which is amazing if you've never had it. It's supposed to take a few extra minutes to prepare, but the couple of times that I've had it, it seemed to arrive at our table within just a few minutes. As always, the service was friendly, polite, attentive and especially this past weekend, fast.

We had a reservation and were seated immediately. The atmosphere was hustle and bustle with lots of conversation taking place, making it a little difficult to have a conversation. The food is mostly ala carte, priced a little higher than I would have liked, but very delicious. The coconut cake was the best I have ever had. The rooster decor was a sweet surprise. Despite the noise, we enjoyed our experience especially since we had great service, with management stopping by to make sure all was well.

4 of us ordered the shrimp salad. It was so incredibly bland. Not bad just BLAND. Our server didn't seem terribly interested in what he was doing. But he did refill our tea on a regular basis.

Arrived for early dinner(4:30) so things were very quiet for first hour. 3-some ordered several menus items to share and all were excellent. Service was very prompt but unobtrusive. Food arrived freshly plated and sizzling hot. We expected to bring home leftovers but ate every bite! Excellent reasonably priced bottle of wine. Can’t wait to go back!

The food in general is good. However, do not come here if you are lactose intolerant because this is not a priority for them. I asked if the vegetables could be made without butter and was told yes except the butter beans. Great. So I did not order butter beans but sure enough they cane to the table with loads of butter on them. I told the sever that they had butter on them and was told no they did not that it was olive oil that just tasted like butter. Then my husband pointed out that it was butter beans and that the sever had told us they could only serve those with butter. The server then says oh no I checked and they do not have butter on them. Then I pointed out that I had not ordered butter beans anyway because of the butter but instead ordered roasted corn. The server then brought roasted corn loaded with butter again. I gave up. Having been repeatedly told I was wrong I just did not eat it as it was too late to order something yet again. Still tipped 20% but moral of the story is don’t come here if you have dietary issues. Too bad because the mandarin sorbet was awesome and we were well taken care of otherwise.

We had booked a reservation but they seated us in the overflow seating in the back room. It did not have the same feel and we left disappointed after making the reservation.

The menu has been changed and a few of the most popular items were not listed or they were out of - disappointing

I have always enjoyed Roosers but this night underwhelmed.

Our service was very good however and she did a great job with recommendations!

This was our second attempt to love this place and it just didn't happen. Loud and too casual for the price and menu. Duck was cold, they ran out of asparagus and I have never eaten cold Derby pie. Just not great.

Service was good, food was mediocre and not worth the price. Kitchen and bar were both out of things, with such a limited menu they really don't have the ability to impress if ever item is not available. Visited uptown location and had a better meal.

Very diverse menu selections. My party thoroughly enjoyed fish, pork and poultry dishes. My dining partners raved about the oysters. I had the rotisserie BBQ chicken and au gratin potatoes. Both were very tasty. Service was excellent.
Be aware that the noise level (Sat evening) is very high. Don't expect to have a quiet conversation over dinner.
