Rooster's Wood-Fired Kitchen - South Park
Enjoyed a great evening with friends, the food and service was amazing!!
Great food and service! We will definitely go back!
My server Seth was amazing! He was very knowledgeable and had great recommendations for everything.
Took my in-laws out here to enjoy some wonderful fine cuisine and we loved everything about this place. The ambience, the decor, the service, and of course the food. Will be going back for sure!
food was outstanding, server was top notch, made anniversary celebration a wonderful evening
Normally Roosters food does not disappoint, but food today was not up to par. I had the turkey club and the bacon was burnt and hard. French fries were not hot either. Other tablemates foodmwas fine! Service was great!
Excellent waiter. Worked hard and was attentive. The best simple grilled food - vegetables and meats and seafood in Charlotte
OK, most important in a restaurant is the food, and Roosters did not disappoint! I got the hanger steak, the macaroni and cheese side and Shishido peppers, and everything was delicious! In addition, the atmosphere was lively and this place has great ambience too.
Great as always
Daughter’s Birthday; one of our favorite restaurants in Charlotte.
They had a great staff. The menu options were excellent
This was my first time at Rooter's and my experience was delightful! The food was well prepared and the service was fantastic
The dining room was loaded with fruit flies and the manager basically said if they touch your food or wine we will replace it. It did and we didn't bother - poorly handled and not a place we will return to
We had eaten at Rooster’s downtown before a show at the Belk Theatre. We decided to try the South Park location for a business dinner. Everyone enjoyed their meal, drinks, and dessert! The chicken wings were awesome! Definitely a place we would all go back to.
Great food, too loud. Maybe they should consider soft chairs
1st time at Roosters, great food and awesome service. Can’t wait to visit Charlotte again.
As always Rooster’s food and service were outstanding!
Great fresh local and uniquely prepared food, with attentive low key service( no hovering here) Always a pleasure to visit!!
The service was excellent and the food quite good. A little pricy!
We go here on a regular basis. We are not disappointed by the food, it is consistently good. However, the service is hit or miss here. We have had great servers and we have had servers who were a little off the mark. On this visit, it seemed like our server was training another person, so he seemed distracted. We kept having to flag various people down for stuff because he forgot to bring it or wasn't always available. Overall, we like the menu and the farm to table concept but the service could be more consistent.
This is a mixed review - our group of 5 enjoyed some of the food - the barbequed chicken specifically, but other dishes were less successful. The NC tile fish special was uninteresting to say the least. The grits and bacon...there was a lot of corn, and we found a sliver of bacon. After a great outing earlier this year I was looking forward to a return. I'd go again, but I wouldn't be as enthusiastic. Service was borderline poor, with the servers (and there were two) disappearing after the order was taken.
Roosters always gives a fantastic meal and experience. Never disappointed here. One of the meals in town.
Our waiter was superb, the food was absolutely delicious. Will definitely be going again.
We shared food and enjoyed cocktails and wine. I was disappointed that the chicken liver pate' that Chef Noble introduced years ago was not available. That was a major attraction for me in past visits.
Food was good and priced fairly.
Service was excellent.
Wonderful, as always. Great food, great service! Highly recommend!
Food and service were incredible! Only issue was reservation, we made several days prior and the restaurant says they don’t come through all the time from Opentable. So be ready to show your phone.
First time at this restaurant. Two couples from out of town not knowing the Charlotte area at all. Found Roosters on OpenTable. Booked dinner.
Fantastic food, wine & service!! We had 4 "appetizer size" items and 4 "larger" items, all of which we shared. Wine steward recommended a nice Russian River Chardonnay that I was not familiar with. It was excellent and very reasonably priced.
It's a bit loud but not obnoxious--we were able to converse and discuss the food & wine with the staff very easily. Very nice time was had by all!
The chef here is fabulous. Food is consistently really good. Nothing boring, always creative and expertly prepared.
Having eaten there before I knew what to expect but they exceeded my expectations. Ambience was warm and welcoming. Wait staff was excellent and the barbecued chicken was perfectly prepared, plentiful and a bargain. Wine list was excellent with some reasonably priced wines.
Chicken and short ribs were dry
Always the best BBQ chicken in Charlotte
Rooster’s, for my wife and I, is a date night go to restaurant. The basics are covered well, the variety and use of local ingredients is so well done that you almost take it for granted until you go somewhere else.
This night was good because of the consistency. I love the Spiced wings and it had been a while since I had had them and they didn’t disappoint. You can always do well if you pick any of the standard chicken dishes (roasted or bbq, 1/4 or 1/2 chicken are all outstanding; in particular the bbq. The sauce is really good. Also, if they have the duck wings, get them! You will leave with a smile on your face.
We had the poblano succotash that was on special, baby kale Caesar and frites, with the hanger steak, which my wife had.
For dessert, we had the local berry cobbler that took 15 minutes but was well worth the wait. An additional scoop of ice cream would have been good. It was piping hot and melted the single scoop very quickly. The combo puff pastry/biscuit cobbler dough was executed very well.
Service, for me when you know the kitchen is so consistent, is something to be flexible about because at times it can be inconsistent. ALL of the servers are personable and friendly. However, things get busy and on this night our server was busy and needed a few reminders for refills, condiments, and the check (awkwardly placed before inquiring about dessert).
Again, I’ll cut Rooster’s some slack, as this location is busy. Still, if food is your priority, then you’re fine.
Rooster’s also has a good variety of local micro brews on tap and bottle/can, good cocktails and a decent wine selection.
Need less to say, we left satisfied with good left overs! The hostess is always warm and very professional, so you’re guaranteed to start your meal off right!
Roosters rarely disappoints. A bit on the pricier side but great food. Server was the best.
Our waitress was delightful. The salmon was not as flavorful as usual which was a surprise because some wild salmon is in season and very flavorful.
Wish I’d picked something else.
Great food.... Great service... Good music which wasn’t too loud so we could hear our conversation. I appreciated the set up of the “double bar table area”. I would go back again and again. Barbecue chicken was FANTASTIC !
The food and the service was great! Our server was presonable and attentive.
Everything was delicious and the server was very helpful and didn’t rush our experience at all. Loved the environment and decor!
We have found our favorite restaurant in Charlotte!
