Rooster's Wood-fired Kitchen is thrilled for its first expansion since 2012, opening at The Bowl at Ballantyne with more than 30 years of culinary tradition and craftsmanship under its belt. This was not one of our better experiences at Roosters. A member of our party of 6 wanted to taste a wine but the bar server just poured a glass and left the table, a hanger steak was under cooked and a burger order was sent back twice (it was taken off the bill by the manager). The noise level was such that we had to talk extremely loud to be heard.

The restaurant is fairly generic, nothing really exceptional on the menu except the coconut cake. It is somewhat overpriced and now that the Bowl charges for parking, it is a rushed and more expensive lunch meal. Whatever promo deals they had for parking were not working. We probably won’t return.

Excellent restaurant in Rooster's tradition. Food was quite good and service was terrific. Only real issue is the noise level of the building. Not easy to have a conversation with your tablemates due to the accoustics.
