Fried Oyster Salad
Went there for lunch. We ate outside which was nice. I had the fried oyster salad. It was ok, average. It cost $23.00. Now, I love a good fried oyster salad. It did have a lot of oysters. The salad was basically greens - kind of wilted - maybe from the oysters, some cubed bacon. I don't remember what else was on it. The fried oyster salad at Milner's Restaurant is much better w/lots of good stuff on it and not as pricey. Service was good. An offering of bread w/our meal would have been nice. Maybe that is extra $. The other 2 people had the brisket sandwich - she said it was delish, and the burger - she said it was good. Their fries are excellent.
Great for lunch great for dinner. Just all around great… never disappoints!
We usually like to go to Fratellis for a good steak, but roosters did a great job! I would say that they are now tied in my top two favorite places to go for a delicious filet mignon! I also love the ambience of the restaurant. It is classy, and also very upscale, and a refreshing vibe for Winston.
Great place for a business luncheon. Service is always spectacular. Some food portions are very small given the price, particularly protein on salad.
I was surprised to see the restaurant so packed on a Monday night, but I assume it was due to the furniture market being in High Point. Our food and service was wonderful and I definitely look forward to returning!
It was our 6 week wedding anniversary & was informed by a friend to ho here. Excellent all around
Terrible service today. Waited 20 min to just have our drink order taken. Waiter appeared very disorganized. Food was so so. This has been one of our favorite places in the past but last 2 experiences have not been good.
A perfect night on the patio! Our server, Charles, did a wonderful job. Our dinner was delicious from beginning to the end.
Excellent service. Love the pick and choose charcuterie options. I had the Cobia and it was delicious. One of our party had the Pork chop with Peach chutney and fried corn. He said it was out of this world good. One member of our group had the filet mignon and she said it was the best filet she has ever had. Will definitely be back.
Relaxed atmosphere. Wonderful service. Good food. Great prices. Never disappointed.
Seated in backroom. Order placed for grouper came back and no grouper. Ordered Duck with Fig- no taste of Fig and just vinegar tomato taste( something was missing) Beets were very good. Ordered strawberry rhubarb dessert - delivers blueberry dessert instead and also ran
Out of rhubarb dessert. Overall quality of food and consistency of kitchen has not what it once was. There are better choices in WS now.
Amber was excellent, energetic and great personality!!
Excellent food and server was very friendly, attentive and knowledgeable.
Chandler did an excellent job last night! Very enjoyable in the patio listening to music with friends!
I've tried this restaurant several times over the years, but always walk away feeling like I paid too much for something that was just mediocre. The drinks were tiny making them about double what they should have cost. The salmon and asparagus I had were very good, and the catfish that my friend had was also very good. But again it was very overpriced especially for lunch. We each had the bread pudding for dessert and were very disappointed, though after expressing our displeasure, the waitress removed it from the bill. Our waitress was top notch, so I left a good tip. Unfortunately, until the food improves to warrant the price, or the price comes down, I don't plan to go back.
Intentionally serious about being a farm to table experience. The brussel sprouts small plate is exceptional and favorites oyster salad and crab cake with succotash always please. Expanded outdoor dining adds to a pleasant, joyful atmosphere. Service is impeccable.
The fries were burnt and the bread with the pimento cheese was so hard when you broke it, it just crumbled. The chairs outside were very uncomfortable. My water never had ice. We were there 2 hours from start to finish and didn’t even get dessert. It was our anniversary so we were a little disappointed.
I loved the culinary experience! The food was excellent and the ambiance was beautiful. A hidden gem in Winston Salem.
We loved our night at Roosters! Everything was perfect, food, service, drinks, and atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back.
We had a very large group for our daughter and her boyfriend’s college graduation. Roosters accommodated all of our requests. The service was excellent but we did not feel rushed. The hangar steak was the best I have ever had. Each of us enjoyed quality food. The drink choices were also excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant.
The food is so fresh, true, not overly complicated so every morsel is just perfect. The selection is wonderful- healthy, a few heavier items, bigger plates, smaller ones too. The staff is delightfully attentive and NOT annoying. They understand and appreciate the experience and clearly enjoy working here. We have come several times over the last four years and have enjoyed each trip immensely every time.
We were a large party and the service and food was excellent. Had 2 wonderful ladies serving us. The food all came out at the same time and it was wonderful. They were able to split the check for us too. Overall wonderful place.
We absolutely loved everything about Roosters! Great food and ambiance. Service was superb! Definitely going back again.
Outdoor dining with friends made life feel normal again. Service & food were truly outstanding
I took my daughter and some friends there for a night out prior to move out days at Wake Forest and we had a great time. It couldn't have been better from the food, the music playing and the energy of the place. Thanks for a wonderful night.
Dinner was divine.
Service: The waitress was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and what to recommend. Not to mention she had a fantastic attitude even when it started drizzling (we were under an umbrella outside), which was much appreciated!
Food: Everything we ate was delicious. Charcuterie was top-notch. Mussels were perfectly cooked. Mac and cheese was ooey-gooey perfection. I forgot what the dessert was called (some type of upside down cake), but it was delightful as well.
Will be back!
Our server was exceptional.
Great Mother’s Day dinner
The food was terrible and it took an hour and a half to come out. My eggs were in yucky clumps, the bacon was burnt, and the biscuit was hard. I asked for grits as my second side but only got one portion. My kids couldn’t even eat the food- I could literally see the salt standing out on my child’s chicken bites. I was so disappointed on Mother’s Day because I have enjoyed eating here before. We won’t be back, I’ve had better food at Waffle House. .
Great service and food. Covid friendly
Duck was great. Wahoo fish filet and beets were super salty, I almost couldn’t eat them but I would feel like a jerk sending food back to the kitchen. Busy night there so it might have been a fluke. The waiter was very attentive and the house bread was great. The pimento cheese app and bread with it were not so good, bread was cold and stale (house bread was way better), cheese was luke warm and fine but not interesting. Also menu is a bit strange with a la carte options and full plates (normal non a la carte) mixed throughout without clear sections. Overall for the prices I expected better consistency.
The food is decent but not great. The service an atmosphere are outstanding. Fun place to visit with friends or family.
overall great, the waiter messed up on an order, but it worked out fine
Food was great. Tried lots of different items with our group of 7. Everything was really nicely done. Only negative was we were seated in a back room hidden down a few hallways. No ambience, room was “blah”…would have preferred to be in the middle of the action in the main restaurant. Some might like the quiet, mundane room.
College graduation luncheon
One of our favorite restaurants! Love Nick and his staff. Brian our server was stellar!
Patrick was wonderful and the food was delicious. It was nice to eat somewhere at lunch and not feel rushed to clear the table.
