Rooster's A Noble Grille
Knowing that simple food is harder to execute given there is nowhere to hide the flaws, we go to great lengths to source quality ingredients from local farmers and purveyors. We then take all the time necessary to develop their flavors —using both European and modern techniques—always working from scratch.
Our menu features tried and true staples like our spit-roasted chicken cooked over open fire as well as progressive daily specials and elevated bar bites featuring Executive Chef John Bobby’s latest experiments inspired by the seasons and regional ingredients.
At Rooster’s, you’ll always find something new served with an honest commitment and consistently warm care.
We have been long time patrons of Nobles and then Roosters. Unfortunately the restaurant has lost its cache. Not the dress up festive place to go in the past. Roosters is a lot more casual, kids in gym shorts and tee shirts. The last three times to Roosters the food has been poor (with the exception of one order of salmon) and the wait time after placing the order, terribly long. The menu is confusing and not as appealing as it used to be. We hope changes will be made.
We've been going to Noble's for probably 35 years. We've never been disappointed. (And it's the best New Year's Eve party in town!)
Rooster's Noble Grille never disappoints! The food and service are always outstanding. What a great restaurant!
This restaurant is great for friends and romance. The food is delicious, the atmosphere is contemporary and clean but very warm and inviting too.
The food is always very very good and we like to dine here often. Our only complaint is the noise level. It is difficult to hear the conversation at your table because of the excessive noise in the restaurant. This time we ate outside and that is much better, even though you still have to hear the roar of the air conditioner.
The service was not very good on this visit. It took about 10 minutes before the server greeted us at the table. The 2 extra place settings remained on the table until we received the salads. The bread and olive oil remained on the table until we finished the dessert.
One of the dinners had to be recooked do to an allergy. The steak was suppose to be medium rare which it was the first time but the recook was raw/rare. The kitchen still sent out the steak even after slicing it and knowing it wasn't the correct temperature. This new format of pricing the entrees and all the sides are priced separately is unacceptable. Rooster's is not a Tapas Restaurant...price the items as a complete meal!
This dinner cost $150 and it was overpriced. One guest didn't even eat their meal.
The atmosphere was sophisticated but not stuffy. We noticed when we first sat down there was no salt or pepper on the table. And this was because, as we would soon find out, the food was seasoned to perfection. The plates were generous in size and the service was impeccable. Some of if not the best food we have ever eaten.
Ordered steak medium and it was cooked well done. Enough said
Hannah was awesome. Food has great flavor. Wine list had value.
We enjoyed dining at Nobles to reconnect with old friends. The food was delicious and the service was great!
we dined outdoors and it was magical evening with Patrick as our server. He knows the menu so well and knows how to sell but not push. A real top notch professional! All of our meals were excellently prepared giving pause to something wonderful happening in the kitchen. John has mastered the art of a perfect front and back of the house staff who work seamlessly for a delightful dining experience. KUDOS!!
My first lunch experience at Noble’s was no different than dinner. Food is fresh and perfect; service is top notch.
Wait staff was friendly but nonobtrusive. Food was ok, but took a very long time to get to us, and it was just sandwiches and fries, with very few patrons in the restaurant. I’ve been to Roosters in the evening and enjoyed it. I wouldn’t go back for a lunch though.
It was great. Wine menu extensive. Lots of different meat options. Veggies a la carte.
Our server was terrific... attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. Each item ordered was prepared perfectly according to individual needs. Upbeat atmosphere, too! Definitely a"go-to" place!
Food was amazing. We sat next to a big party so it was VERY loud. That was our only complaint.
Went to lunch, food was good way too over priced for the quality and quantity.
Wonderful music, service and food on the patio! Thank you!
Loud, tables close together, slow service, overpriced
Appetizers were meh. The arugala salad was too light on the mozzarella and basalmic glaze, and the croutons were far overdone. The peaches had potential to be a great fish but 90% of the peaches weren't ripe enough. The lamb pasta was absolutely delicious but a very small portion size, which i wish the waitress notified us about beforehand after we stayed we we're splitting.
Also none of the dishes were split ahead of time after we stated we were doing so.
The ambiance was awesome, we will be back at some point and hope some of these issues are ironed out.
I made a reservation on OpenTable for last Friday night for my family (8 people) who were in town for a white coat ceremony for Wake Medical School and arrived at the restaurant to find the restaurant was closed for the night. I should have been contacted by Nobles or notified through open table if our reservation was not going to be honored. Instead I had to scramble at the last minute to find a place for dinner for 8 people on a Friday night. It was very disappointing.
Our meal was great the food was wonderful and our server “MACY”. was fantastic
We’ve dinning at this location for years and have enjoyed great food and service, unfortunately, and I hate to give bad reviews our experience last Saturday evening was beyond disappointing.. firstly the menu was very limited due to renovations starting the next week, we had to return our Shrimp Bisque starters as it was bland and barely warm, and basically pretty disgusting..we were offered the Tomato Bisque as an alternative and this was somewhat better, my Lamb Pasta was extremely Vinegary and also barely warm, the rest of our parties food was in their opinion so so but definitely not up to par.. we mentioned this to our server ( whom was the only good experience of the evening ) he told us the restaurant was about to close on the Monday after the weekend for renovations so the Kitchen had little fresh food as not wanting to have perishables leftover so we felt that we were being served anything left in the fridges to get rid of it. Not Good.
Food is too expensive for the portion you get. Also, most entrees, while priced 15 or more, do not come with a side and the sides are 6.00 to 8.00 a piece. We did, however, enjoy the service of our waitress. He eas knowledgeable about the menu items and gave great suggestions.
My husband liked the shrimp & grits here less than at other restaurants because the grits were larger and the sauce was a bit different than he was accustomed to. He will order something else next time.
Anthony was remarkable
The hostess and waitress were very good! Food was excellent, both appetizers and entre
Overall the food was very good. However, the salad was heavy with dressing and the wine pour was small.
Entrees were good. It was difficult to hear because of noise level. Actually prefer lunch here.
Met a friend, set outside on the shaded paitifood and service was excellent
Slow service and food wasn’t up to par!
Great food, service and atmosphere.
Not only great food and service. More than fair pricing for the high quality.
Service is always top notch and the food is always delicious. There is no view and the seating is very close together but you feel pampered by the staff.
Best food and service in entire state
Overall it was very good, but there was a little mixup in our order and it took a while to get it resolved. The food was good. Nice venue. Relaxing.
Best food in the area. I love their menu because it is so unique. I also love that they use fresh local ingredients in all their recipes.
Our server was excellent - polite, professional and friendly. Very knowledgeable about the specials and was able to answer all our questions.
We had 8 people at the table and the service was quick. The food delicious!!
Waiter Patrick was the best!
This was our second trip to Rooster's, and it was wonderful. My husband and I lazily made our way through the menu and ordered slowly. The waitress was very accommodating and made fantastic recommendations. The food was excellent, especially the white fish and the seasonal salad. We will be back.
Fantastic food, a bit crowded, but definitely worth the price. I loved it
Actually, the food was, to my taste, surprisingly uninteresting. Only had soup and a salad, though, so not a lot to critique, but the salad was really bland but for the olives. My wife had fried oysters in her salad, and they were nice, but not exceptional. Lettuce was crisp, but Ceasar dressing (probably house) and croutons lent nothing. Soup did not set itself apart. My wife, however, did thoroughly enjoy her salad.
However, after being in place for several years now, the restaurant itself was not particularly busy at 6:45pm on Saturday night. If I'm the manager... too many still empty tables. Surely the Saturday night crowd knows it's there. Oh, and the seating... along the perimeter... the wall, was inconsiderately close. Hard for the wait staff, and especially hard on the guests. We felt sorry for them as we watched. Waitress indicated the filet mignon is 7oz. and a choice cut. $41.00 seemed a little out of line, but who knows, it may have been outstanding making it worth every penny.
Anyway, second try, so will not return.
