At The Rooster in The Garden Ristorante we always say, "Eat well, laugh often, love much!" Nothing else expresses a complete surmise of the Italian way of living than for us to bring you what we love the most. We lovingly make our pasta daily, by hand. Our culinary philosophy is firmly rooted in the Italian tradition of seasonality and the integrity of our ingredients. Inspired by mother Italy, our menu is both traditional and modern. We spend an enormous amount of time sourcing ingredients, we derive great pleasure in working with local producers to bring the best product to your table, and what we can't find locally, we source in Italy through a network of family and friends developed over the course of our lifetime.

The menu on Open Table was not the menu served. It’s now an Italian Restaurant but we were already there so didn’t leave.
Enjoyed the ambiance in the outdoor garden. I haven’t been in the restaurant since the Italian motif change. It was all in all a good experience. 4 out of 5 loved their food.
Wonderful restaurant great homemade pasta and drinks and fantastic ambiance.
The food is rather good. But the service is ok. No refilling water glasses and I had to ask for grated parmigiana cheese for my pasta. At an Italian restaurant? Very good focaccia.
Loved it. Fresh food. Just the right amount. Flavorful meal and relaxed funky ambiance.
This was our second visit and it was just as wonderful as the first. I have no idea why this isn't the highest-rated restaurant in town! We have had steak, fish, pasta, salads, vegetable, and deserts and they have all been terrific. It is a great outside setting too.
We have eaten here many times and have never been disappointed. The homemade pasta with bolognese sauce is exceptional. My husband orders it often. The burgers and fries are delicious and cooked perfectly. The flatbreads are delicious especially the prosciutto one. The fried calamari is cooked to perfection, golden and tender. Service has always been excellent and attentive. Would highly recommend this restaurant for families wanting more than ordinary fast food but want a family friendly, casual dining experience.
Great meal! We all loved our pasta dishes and the artichoke heart appetizer was excellent! We sat street side which was fine after the sun went down at 6:45pm. We would return!
Awesome! Great creative menu, hip ambience. Great all around.
Good experience, nice place and ambient!. Quality food, but different to other Italian restaurants that I tried before. They have their own approach which could be a miss or hit depending on your taste. Did not had waiting time to get seat (reservations helps on that) and the food was served fast for a group of 5.
I took my son for a special diner at your restaurant. It was good at one time, no more.... He got 2 small meatballs on a bed of pasta. I got noodles and “sausage” which was awful. Cost $21. and $23. dollars!!!
Overpriced and substandard by anyone’s standards for an upscale restaurant... 😢
Great Pasta perfectly done.
A very pleasant lunch.
Manager, everyone including server very nice but server overworked. Service slow had to ask several times for bread. Looked like she had too many table to serve. I’d return but hope they get their service together
The pasta dishes are very good but also pretty expensive for a moderately sized dish of pasta only - low to mid $20s. BUT the worst is the ability of the kitchen to turn out meals. We were there over 1 hour between our salad course and our entree. Total meal time, with arrival at 5:45 because we had a show to go to, was 2 hours and 15 mins - no dessert. If this were a multicourse fine dining experience OK but ----
Very creative fish dish! Loved it...Also, good wine list with interesting wines by the glass
Food and service excellent. Only outlier was $14 tab for “house Cabernet”.
It is rare for any restaurant to hit on all cylinders, but these guys did it for dinner the other night. Everyone in our party was happy with their food. I had the steak which was cooked perfectly at charred rare. The sauce with it was lovely. The drinks were nice with a reasonable selection of wine by the glass. I had a manhattan and that was great too.
We had a great time.
Wonderful service, excellent food.
In fact the whole downtown experience was delightful!
The service was very good from the hostess to the server, and the helpers - even the manager Kimberly came to the table. Very helpful & accommodating. The food was excellent and even our leftovers tasted super the next day! Great find and wonderful change from the bar type food on the menu at so many local eateries. Only draw back in my opinion is the small bar located at the end on the dining room. A few noisy patrons hanging there dampened the ambience of the dinner but otherwise excellent, fresh & creative. We will definitely go back again.
Lovely courtyard Food and serve outstanding
Sunday afternoon date. First in a year. Brunch was amazing. Loved the menu and the speciality brunch cocktails. Can’t wait to go back.
There are so many Italian restaurants, you have to be exceptional to succeed.
The atmosphere was incredible super friendly staff and great food would recommend to anyone and everyone
Some of the best Italian food we've ever had! Fresh bread, beautiful charcuterie, freshly made pastas, fantastic Italian sausages and cheeses, good wine list and bottles are half-priced on Wednesdays. Service is excellent! Dining in the courtyard is delightful, but the indoor seating isn't nearly as nice. We will definitely return, again and again.
Delicious Lunch and Brunch spot. The salads were very fresh and imaginative and the egg dishes and avacado toast were also beautifully prepared and delicious. The bottomless mimosas are a great addition within the past year.
Had out of town family for a visit
Service was a bit slow. Food took about 1 hour to cook (chicken and salmon) nothing out of the ordinary or fancy. When the food arrived, it was undercooked. There was pink in the chicken and very chewy. The salmon was undercooked. The manager took the salmon off the check and I ordered plain pasta. The plain pasta was delicious! They offered to take off the chicken, but because my husband ate half of it we thought that would be unfair of them to do. He was starving, so chewed his way through.
I went with my wife for date night. I have to say the food was excellent! It was out of this world.
They were having some issues with service that evening however the manager and staff went out of their way to make up for it. Great response!
Great food wonderful service will be back to visit soon
We went for a bachelorette brunch and everything about our experience was great! The atmosphere was very relaxed and enjoyable with the weather. Our server was attentive, timely and always available. The food was delicious, especially the mascarpone! We will definitely be back in the future!
Service was great. Food was good, not great. The pizza was focaccia style, not like pizza at all. The pasta dishes lacked flavor and seasoning. I will be back, just need to adjust their dishes a bit.
We had a new server so took a bit to get the service up and going. She had a great personality and energetic. Did her best to make up for the rough start. She will do great once comfortable with the establishment. The food was amazing and we will most certainly return.
Nice dinner and overall experience.
Lovely place both inside and out. We are only doing outside dining these days and they had a very nice setup. Food was very good. Loved the cheeseboard. Homemade pasta was delicious. I would recommend
Food is outstanding. Was a bit disappointed that for my choice of wine, only a bottle and not a glass was available as it has been in the past. Service was excellent.
Just had to try a new place. Not terrible but I won’t return. My wife is allergic to salads that have preservatives so she always asks how they are prepared. The Waitress said the salads are farm fresh, which is probably true, but the lettuce still had preservatives. She also had the prosciutto pizza which was a bit salty. I tried the special fish entree ($MP) after my (average) salad which was Tripletail. I had never heard of it so I gave it a shot since I like to try different types. Well, the fish special was ‘fresh’ but tasted quite dry. Either it’s a lousy fish or it wasn’t really fresh - I don’t know. The waitress was average in her attention to our table. The menu is very limited but some of the dishes that came out of the kitchen looked interesting. It took me 40 minutes to drive here but there are better restaurants nearby. The restaurant was fairly busy with what seemed to be locals so I guess it’s somewhat popular.
Excellent food and service. Do yourself a favor, order a cocktail and take the server recommendation on food choices. Make sure to save room for desert.
Our first time, dinner on a Monday night. Very good cocktails, adequately priced. Recommend the Cucumber Martini. Pastas were very good, some of the best gnocchi we’ve had. Carbonara was authentic (no cream), and taste was right, 4/5 stars. Panda cotta dessert was good, described as covered in chocolate ganache with pistachios on top. Turned out to be a pistachio panda cotta (positive surprise, but not if you planned to pick the pistachios off the top), and chocolate layer was minimal, 3/5 stars.
Minor nitpick: excellent bread is served with a little bowl of a lot of balsamic mixed with a bit of olive oil, rather than the other way around. When we asked for more olive oil, another identical bowl was delivered. Chef’s terrific bread would be much better served by giving diners a bottle of good olive oil and forgoing the balsamic altogether.
Major bone to pick: we almost always enjoy a bottle of wine with dinner. Wine here was priced across the list at 3 times retail (Whitehaven Sauvignon Blanc, $14 at store, was $45. Cloudy Bay, $25 retail, was $60). Wines seemed to be priced either for a clientele that has no clue, or at price points designed not to sell. Either way, seemed like an arrogant move.
Will return, possibly drinking our wine before or after.
The food was delicious. The server checked on me and my date every so often to make sure we loved our dish and it was an environment that i would love to go back to again.
