Waitress was awesome! Food was good! Enjoyed the time with my mother. Had chicken and waffles ...being from ALABAMA had to give it a shot! Not too bad!!
Mother’s Day brunch
food was good and the service was great , my wife had a nice time at the mothers day brunch.
Nice place, good service, but the food was mediocre at best. Brie infused polenta was dry, cold, and so tasteless we had to request salt and pepper.
I had fairly high expectations for this restaurant, having read the reviews on OpenTable, but was in the end disappointed. The appetizers were very tasty but all of the main courses that we ordered were disappointing: the lamb was overcooked, the chicken was too salty, the salmon was a bit dry, and so forth.
I don't think I'll be back.
This was my first time to Revel. My friend and I both ordered burgers and fries...outstanding! Our sever was also fantastic. This place is definitely a must try.
The food was great. Steak cooked exactly how I like it. The scallops appetizer also great and the waitress was very helpful and nice and made the experience as well. Nice view of the area through the windows.
Also stopped at revel before our reservations were up and that atmosphere was also great.
Scallops appetizer was perfect with a touch of honey. Everything we ordered was great and service was excellent.
Waitress could not tell the difference between Chardonnay and piano noir. Menu was limited expensive and food was sub-par
Dissatisfy disappointing and avoid
Great food great service wonderful experience
We had a great celebratory meal there. Everything we had was delicious and cooked perfectly. Service was great as well.
Better than expected! Their monthly special menu is great.
Had an early dinner to get the 1000 points. Restaurant was very quiet and the food was great!
Wonderful atmosphere! Creative entrees. Double cut pork chop fantastic. Vegan mushroom dish and catfish were just ok. Salads were tasty but too big as a side. All 3 desserts were ordered were excellent. Our waiter was very pleasant and helpful. Overall a good choice.
Birthday dinner. Was very nice. Ordered filet medium rare. Wife’s was slightly under cooked. Mine was perfect. Waitress was very nice and knowledgeable. Atmosphere was what you would expect for a downtown fine dining restaurant. Nice bathrooms. Nice staff.
This was our second trip to Roost. I think it was even better this time. They definitely improved their salads. My salmon was delicious. The only downside was that there was a limited selection of side dishes. Service was excellent. We look forward to returning for dinner again soon.
Mila, our server, was fantastic and made it a great birthday dinner for my friend. The Key West menu was top notch and delicious!
Excellent service and menu sections. Knowledgeable and helpful server. Delicious food and wine.
The food overall was very good. My husband’s pork chops were the best I’ve ever tasted. Our waitress was also very good. She gave knowledgeable feedback to questions. The only reason I gave four stars for service was that there was quite a lengthy wait between our appetizer and our dinner.
Outstanding service for our party of 8, which was able to get a reservation via Open Table, that may not have been available to us otherwise. Our out of town guests loved the meal, but, especially our waiter who was great and as one guest said, "spot on with every suggestion".
Very pleased with our server, Amy. Cocktails were creative and yummy. Loved the charcuterie tray. Food (I had the tender and flavorful petite filet) was delicious, prepared very well and the sides complemented the steak perfectly. Pleasantly surprised with our first visit!
Another excellent dinner at Roost. New menu is fantastic and Bob did a great job as usual. Chef offered a tasting of the spring menu and we were blown away!
Not our first visit. Bob has been our waiter on other occasions and is pleasant and efficient and friendly and knowledgeable! He was both bartender and waiter on Wednesday! We had theater tickets, and he made sure that we were on time! Food is always outstanding! Love the cheese biscuits and also the burratta appetizer, to mention only a few.
The atmosphere was both enjoyable and comfortable and the food was delicious. The service was outstanding and the added bonus was that the Executive Chef came out to ask about our experience and food. It was a nice personal touch and Chef Michael was very engaging. We will absolutely be revisiting ROOST and telling all of our friends and professional colleagues about this great place!
We have been here a few times, but this night was my sister’s birthday. It was quiet and the server took very good care of us; they even gave my sister a birthday cheesecake and were very kind in letting us linger after our meals to enjoy wine and open presents. I love Revel and Roost and we will most definitely continue to dine here.
We live downtown and eat out a lot, so I am surprised that we haven't discovered Roost sooner. It's a little off our beaten path (Penn Ave, Market Square), but it's really only a few dozen feet off Market Square so it's not very far. We've now eaten there twice in the past 2 weeks, and both times were wonderful. The space (on the 2nd floor) is beautiful, tables are big, food was excellent, and the service was attentive and professional. Why it was not more crowded, even on a Friday night, is a mystery - except maybe others are like us who think of it as being "off the beaten path" if you're going to a show in the Cultural District. Roost will be one of our go-to places from now on.
The food was good as well as the service. This is a nice second floor restaurant near Market Square.
As usual we loved our Roost experience. The food and service is noticeably better than ever. Their new chef delivered some of the best dishes we had for some time there. We are also excited to see his new menu from what we were told is coming the last week in March! Thanks for the warm service Bob!
Overall great experience! The service was a little slow but, it was acknowledged a dessert was given in light of this. Food was great, a little pricey but worth it. I would go back again.
Decent service and nice ambiance. They had a decent cocktail menu and my drink was good. I don't remember the name of it but it was tequila and scotch I believe. The food was mediocre and over priced. I had the lamb and my wife had the filet. We can make both better at home.
Great meal, great ambience and great service. Our delightful meal was enhanced exponentially by the service we received from Courtney. She made thoughtful recommendations, was attentive, and mirrored our playfulness. It made our meal so much more than a meal- it was an experience.
The mussels were fabulous- their house made bread melted in your mouth, and the shrimp and grits was perfectly proportioned. THANK YOU FOR A NIGHT TO REMEMBER.
We we seated next to a very loud table. We were the only 2 tables in our very large section. Just poor planning, otherwise it was a fabulous experience, soup to nuts!
The tone for the excellent meal was set from the start with the front of house staff and wait staff. Bob was our server and paced our meal perfectly. He was knowledgeable beyond the menu to the detail of the ingredients used and their origins. He made excellent suggestions. My wife and I both selected the San Antonio inspired meal, as every aspect struck us as well thought out into a wonderfully composed meal. I was stationed in San Antonio years ago and these flavors took me back. You have hit the mark with the flavors, combinations, and preparations. We were very pleased with the entire experience that we had at Roost and will happily return. Another mention for Bob - he moved through the dining area with purpose and grace. Excellent hard working staff are inspiring to the diners. Thank you for an amazing experience. We cannot wait to see what the next food tour will be.
Good location and ambiance could not make up for an uninspired menu.
Great service and atmosphere. The Filet entree was excellent! The Lamb chop flavor was incredible, but chops were 2/3 fat and little meat. Disappointing because the taste was so good. The vegetable side had little flavor though. I would recommend they examine the chops before they prepare them. Not enough to keep me from returning. Just constructive criticism.
The food was excellent, unfortunately the service was subpar. Our waiter didn’t offer the table bread, and although he took our drink orders right away, it took him over an hour to take our food orders. I would go back and give it another try and hope for a better waiter.
Service was slow. Food came out wrong and was sent back. When it came back it was undercooked.
Great atmosphere and the service was excellent.
1. No place to hang heavy wet winter coats except on chair backs.
2. My meal was luke warm, not hot at all.
3. I had yams with my pork chops and they were barely cooked,
I should have sent them back.
4. The chocolate cake for dessert was very sugary, not enough
chocolate in it.
5. The chocolate covered strawberries were hard and not ripe
6. The brussel sprouts were delicious but they were not warm.
7. The pork chops were a good size and the glaze was good.
8. The bread was cold.
Our reservation was for 6:30 on Friday evening. There were few other diners when we arrived, but the room started to fill. Our server, Courtney, was fantastic. She also served as the bartender and made excellent drinks. Our dinner, steak and lobster tail with asparagus-mashed potatoes, was perfect. I highly recommend Roost!
