Best Brunch/Breakfast in the area. Love this place and so do our Grandkids.
First time in - wanted to find a classy breakfast place for Sunday mornings. Great place!
We are returning customers and always have a great meal. Menus are updated for the season. Chef is very creative and the food is fantastic. Just on the appetizers we had lightly fried olives on small greens and a "chip and dip" made of vegetable chips and a goat cheese blend dip. Both were great! Always excited to see what they come up with. Servers are friendly, personable and very knowledgeable. There are gluten free items available and, if they can, they will alter dishes to accommodate. Great wine selection. Just an overall great experience.
Was just not at all impressed with anything. It was expensive and the quality only fair. Much better choices available.
Great staff, love the ambience, breakfast potatoes were great
Family gathering after infant baptism.
Breakfast was delicious as always! I had the blueberry yogurt pancakes. They had a nice tanginess to counter the sweet blueberries. Yum!
Dinner & wine tasting was delightful!
The atmosphere at Room 39 is very relaxing and cozy. My girlfriend and I were lunching together to catch up on our lives and to plan an upcoming trip together. The salads were fresh and fabulous! Our waitress was the perfect amount of attentiveness yet giving us the privacy needed to enjoy ourselves. A favorite spot to enjoy family and friends!!
I just love Room 39! I brought a friend for her birthday and we had a wonderful lunch. It was cozy and warm and conducive to good conversation. The service is always excellent and the food - perfect!
Good food and service
Outstanding
I am so sorry I do not remember our servers name. We had 11:15 reservations on Easter Sunday if that helps identify her. The menu was quite interesting, the food was excellent and presentation was beautiful. But our wait person was outstanding! She made our brunch experience fun with her bubbly personality and knowledge of food ingredients and preparation. I have been to Room 39 on several occasions & it remains one of my favorite restaurants in KC.
Easter Brunch
After reading reviews we were very excited to try the restaurant but we were all disappointed. Ambience and service was great. We were a party of three that split three appetizers and a entree. Not one item was good, a couple things were ok but for the price not worth it. The menu is very small and overly fancy which you would think the items would be fantastic but not so much. Overall we were all very disappointed.
Room 39 is a great choice for quality food, excellent service and a comfortable atmosphere. It works well for a business breakfast or lunch or for a casual get together with friends.
We love Room 39. Always great food and service and a pleasant place to eat and linger.
Great service, food and atmosphere! The brunch is amazing!!
Delicious menu! Great value. Best breakfast in town!
First time there and really enjoyed it. The lunch menu was very approachable with several desirable options. My burger was cooked to a true medium, exactly as I ordered. My guest had the grilled cheese sandwich that was made with an assortment of cheeses which he loved. Service was friendly but non-obtrusive. A pefect spot for a business lunch or a casual lunch with friends.
We love Room 39! Food is excellent - service is the best. Great ambiance.
Steak and frites bland. Croque madame excellent. Small menu. Drink/wine menu given only upon request at bar and at table.
Great service. We had a reservation but still waited for table.
We always enjoy Room 39, the service is always great and the food is amazing!!!
Great food and great service. Bartender, host and server all very pleasant and accommodating!
My wife and I visited for her birthday. We had the tasting menu with the wine flight. The service was great. The wine pairings were excellent. The wines were interesting, unusual, delicious, and complimented the food well. I have no complaints about the food. It was delicious and prepared well, but not outstandingly remarkable, and not of the caliber I expected for this price.
Menu is too limited and overly "creative". No chicken, no pork, poor pasta, no lamb. Trying to be too different
Hanger steak Benedict was really great —
I have been wanting to try this restaurant for some time & we had a wonderful girls brunch. Everyone loved it. Food was fantastic! Loved the cozy vibe & will be back for outdoor patio when weather is nice. I really enjoyed everything about my visit.
Lively Sunday brunch to celebrate birthdays with friends. Everyone enjoyed their meal, and the potatoes one everyone's plate were a BIG hit!
We decided to go here last minute and wish we hadn’t.
The server was very courteous and attentive. My date liked her beets, blueberries, and goat cheese salad. So far, so good. My meal, however, was awful. I ordered the filet medium rare and it arrived well done, dry, and void of taste. And, it was only 4 ounces in size!! For $39, I expect more than 4 measly ounces. Ridiculous.
We couldn’t get out of there fast enough.
First of all, I have never met a more rude hostess. Please address that. Our server Brenna was delightful. She was helpful in picking menu options and was very attentive. The salads were good, the scallops were delicious and the beet risotto was just ok. The desserts weren’t very good...especially for the price.
Good breakfast, quiet atmosphere, good service. The biscuits and gravy and potatoes were great!
Went for a first date on Valentine’s Day. The menu was astonishing! The server we had was fabulous! She made spot on recommendations with food and wine!
Let me start by saying that the last time we ate at Room 39, it was one of the best meals I’ve had. On Valentines they have a set menu. The only option for the second course appropriate for vegetarians or pregnant ladies was already gone at 8. We had a pregnant woman who paid $80 for a set 4 course meal who didn’t get to eat one of the four courses. Also my wife’s main course featured a lobster tail that was so undercooked it was still grey and rubbery. They made her a new one to go, but that dish never should have left the kitchen. Our group of 4 eats out frequently and is knowledgeable about food. We had 3 simple questions for our server about what 1 listed ingredient was, and 2 techniques listed in the description. She was unable to answer any of them. Thank goodness for google. Between the valentine menu and the wine pairings, my wife and I spent $260 before tip. I also had to choose something I didn’t want for my 2nd course. Not acceptable.
We went to celebrate Valentine’s and the food was amazing! Service was spectacular and the ambiance was magical!
Had a very nice meal celebrating our Anniversary. Everyone was very attentive. Food was very good but expensive.
Wife’s birthday, perfect for this or any time you want to experience a thoughtful, well planned menu with special care taken to make you dining experience special.
The service was appropriate - not too much or too little, and helpful. The food was very good. My wife thought the garbonzo beans in the soup were a little tough - I disagreed. I had the pork chop and it was somewhat tough. The wine we had was a good wine and fairly inexpensive. The salad with stuffed and grilled olives was excellent. The sample meat cheese plate was also very good.
Overall the service was really good but the food was not at all what I would expect from a restaurant at this price point. Ordered the kale and Brussels salad to start and their salmon dish for my entree. Salad was served with very little to no dressing at all. Salmon was over cooked and served on a bed of rice that was cold. The Salmon had so many red chili flakes that the spice was overwhelming. I had to scrape them off just to eat it. In no way did it indicate on the menu that it was a hot dish.
