Beautiful restaurant with friendly, attentive staff and a delicious creative menu!
The food is better than average Indian restaurant!
This was the best meal I and my boyfriend have had in a very long time. I got the mushroom tandoori and he got the lamb shank and we will definitely be back! The chili cheese naan was also incredible.
Great Indian fusion. Impressive and yummy dishes and drinks. Price on the higher side and everything a la carte but the quality matched. Will return. Butter chicken and shrimp small plate were wonderful!
The food was too expensive for the small portions.
Family in town
Tried the potato tikki and keema bread..delicious
My party of 5 were provided with 5 star service with attentive server and staff
The wine selection was good and server was very knowledgeable about the pairings
Well done Rooh
We've been to Rooh before but took my son and his wife for his birthday (first timers). The food was outstanding! We had the butter chicken (always good), ribs, walleye and the pinwheels. Just doesn't get much better than that.
Rooh is a delightful airy small restaurant, tastefully decorated in deep blue & gold tones.
The acoustics were very nice and peaceful where we were in the main area. It is possible that if you ae in the side room it might be a bit noisier. I could hear voices coming from there.
The food is outstanding! Very fresh flavors carefully combined. The portions are what they say they are - not giant bowls of floating food.
The presentation is well done for the food & the cocktails. The cocktail menu is creative and worht exploring.
Like much of the industry right now, they are a bit low on wait staff. However, they were very friendly & helpful, and all the staff piched in to cover our service very well.
A delighful experience all around!
We ordered 3 small plates and 4 curry dishes, everything was amazing! Unique experience you can’t get anywhere else
The food was amazing!
Service was top notch
The family and went to Rooh for a birthday dinner - the food is absolutely delicious and the service was fantastic. Great decor made for a wonderful night out. Special thanks to the gracious wait staff whose service was impeccable and didn’t mind waiting on us even with a messy 1 year old!
The quality of food has deteriorated in the last year or so. The naan wasn’t made in the tandoor and did not taste authentic. The food was ordinary and not much better than other Indian restaurants.
The names of the dishes are impressive, food not that much. For example Amritsari shrimp: ordinary batter fried shrimp drizzled with Mayo and green mint chutney that one can buy at a grocery store.
The plating and presentation was ordinary.
The only thing remaining good anymore is the cocktail and drinks menu!!
I am saddened by this experience. Columbus deserves a high end Indian restaurant with unique dishes.
Cocktails were great. Appetizers too (lamb & shrimp). A bit disappointed in main course (short ribs). Sad they didn't have kheer for dessert.
Food is mild and very delicious! All the items that we ordered tasted so good!!
I enjoyed the food at this restaurant. I only wish the menu was a little more extensive. But everything we ate was very good. We tried many of the small plates and one of the large plates. I would definitely go back again. The service was very good and the ambiance was nice.
The food was overall good. We loved the starters and cocktails. The only suggestion is to make Paneer Pinwheel curry little less sweet. It was mostly tasting like honey and tomatoes.
This is outstanding modern Indian food. We went for happy hour and got one of each each of the small plates available and some naan, plus cocktails. A little pricey but worth it if you love modern food. Outstanding service and a hip atmosphere. I would eat here every week if I could afford it!
Food is phenomenal. So worth it. Great for a group so you can order more things to share; everything is delicious. Drinks are also great.
The food was fantastic. From drinks to small plates to entrees. We only wish portions were a little larger and the plate size was larger. Not sure why we were given such small plates to eat from when we wanted to pile our food on! We tried almost everything. Had great service from a very attentive server. Would definitely come back!
The cuisine here is truly innovative and special - Indian flavors at the peak of their art! I’m addicted - this is my new favorite restaurant!
Food was great. Service very so so. It was Thursday night, 7:00 reservation, not particularly busy and they were out of a number of menu items. Our friends ordered Roti which never came and then the waiter said they were out and instead of being apologetic he said he didn’t remember them even ordering it.
What an amazing dinner. From the moment we walked in the door to the moment we left, we were blown away by the attention to detail in every aspect. FOH and BOH seemed like they worked together seamlessly and it was a 5 star experience. We are truly lucky to have a restaurant like ROOH in Columbus.
Birthday celebration was terrific. Room is beautiful. Server was personable and mostly efficient. Food was extraordinary. Noise level allowed easy conversations between the 6 of us. The accommodations for allergies were perfect. I look forward to returning soon.
This was a fabulous dinner! From the cocktails to the small plates/large plates, to the service provided by Trey, we couldn't have been more pleased. Highly recommend and we will go back very soon!
Rooh, Rooh, Rooh!!! Love this place. Everything was excellent. Service, waiter was knowledgeable on good and drink minus and asked questions to give as much guidance as desired....wonderful! Cocktails, innovative and delicious, expensive but not out of line with High Street cocktails. Food was creative and memorable. Small portions, more like tapas. Large plates is even a misnomer although a far more appropriate amount given all the things that you might try. Ambiance, cool. Would be a 5 but nothing is perfect, so 4.9.
Really great high end Indian. I'm torn, Indian cuisine, like Mexican cuisine, is something I love, but I find the "cheap" to be as good or better than the "high end".
Had a wonderful dinner date-- the food was excellent!
Wonderful experience; great service
Beautiful design and wonderful food. Also the new cocktail menu is inspired by Ashtanga, which is pretty creative and cool.
The food here is outstanding! It is now my favorite restaurant.
The food and drinks were both notable in their quality and uniqueness. Moreover, every employee we interacted with was not only knowledgeable of everything on the menu, but genuinely excited to share such a wonderful menu with us. Would highly recommend ROOH to anyone who is even remotely interested in Indian food, and potentially even to people who think they aren’t.
Food was marginal, wierd, and small, overpriced portions.
The dishes were very flavorful and interesting. I had the jackfruit kofta, which was delicious. Portions are not very large, which is a bummer when you’re used to having leftovers to bring home from an Indian restaurant. Prices are high, but worth it for fresh and different food. It’s a large room, so it’s not very quaint or quiet.
Fantastic food. Outstanding service. I was late to my reservation because of traffic on a Saturday but they were so accommodating. Loved the atmosphere, food, and staff! 10/10!
Drinks + food were delayed but otherwise, perfect!
Second time dining at Rooh. Appetizers, small plates, dessert, and cocktails were phenomenal like last time. However the large plates were pretty big disappointments. The makhani was overly sweet and reminiscent of Campbell’s tomato soup. The lamb shank lacked any serious flavor and was served with an extremely mild sauce, which bordered on a bland bechamel. Even with the disappointing large plates I will be back again soon to fill my stomach with the other delights. I literally can’t get enough of that kulcha....
Our server was the best! She gave great suggestions and was extremely personable. We loved all of the food we tried. Would absolutely recommend.
Dinner was delicious! We had the jackfruit kofta, prawn 65 tacos, and several other things. I really enjoyed their Old Fashioned cocktail that they had. Ryan is an amazing & attentive server!
Perfect place if you want to get out into the short north scene. Or curious to attempt modern Indian food
