Great service. Amazing food! Any wait to go again.
Fantastic dining experience. Cocktails are creative and delicious. Every small and large plate were carefully crafted. Fantastic, elevated Indian cuisine
Fantastic unique food. Very different than standard Cbus offerings. Not traditional Indian at all in a good way. The dishes were a barrage of flavors that worked incredibly well together. Very impressed and will be back.
Fantastic!!!! Great food, wonderful service - definitely will return!
Lovely restaurant, creative cocktail menu (appreciated the categories such as "astringent" and "sweet"), and beyond delicious food. Helped to look up some of the dishes ahead of time on review sites since it is definitely not a traditional Indian restaurant. For the vegetarians out there, you may love the sweet potato chaat and chickpea curry (w/ naan, of course)! Only real con is that they packed everyone in a small area when there were many open tables, made noise on the high end/private conversation on the low.
Nice place to eat. I had butter chicken and it was well prepared. Will go back.
Interesting, glad we tried it once but we won't be back.
Quite a different take on indian food and we liked everything we ordered. Very good cocktails.
ROOH is fantastic!
Knowledgeable staff and stunningly delicious food. Definitely not your average Indian cuisine a new bar has been set
Avoid. Far too many other restaurants in this category that are better overall and a better value.
The food was good, we shared a variety of small plates including the avocado and edamame dish (not my favorite flavor or texture-wise), chili cheese naan (surprisingly delightful) the shrimp (very good) and cauliflower (good). The cocktails were decent but nothing that stood out too much about them. Great service.
Most amazing food ever!!!
Loved the kulcha and the keema
Best in capital city!!!!
THANKS to the Chef and the wonderful servers…
My companion and I had a wonderful dining experience at Rooh. We don't eat a lot of Indian food so I don't have much with which to compare it. But for us, the food was outstanding. Dishes I would suggest you try are the Assorted Papad Chili Cheese Kulcha; and Butter Chicken. Nice decor - modern, relaxed, calming. Tables a tad too close together for my comfort. Service was good - pleasant, professional, attentive but not obtrusive. We intend to return. I highly recommend.
Incredible food! Great service and the decor and ambience are stunning!
Excellently prepared, unique and delicious dishes! Clean and stylishly designed restaurant. Friendly waiter with good recommendations. Highly recommended!!!
Amazing meal with great flavors. We really enjoyed the small plates of lamb, tuna edamame and cauliflower. The staff was great and we really enjoyed the atmosphere.
Always a go to place for amazing comfort food and innovative cocktails like “breaking the Rooh”..if you are looking for an out of the box dining experience, go to ROOH tonight!!!
Bright, modern well lit interior. Service acceptable. Interesting drinks menu and appreciate the (limited) options for mocktails. Vastly overpriced “re-dress” of Indian food - familiar flavors but elevated presentation. A pretty plate is not worth the double price on entrees when similar or better quality options are available elsewhere for approximately half the cost. Overall a meh 😒 experience.
Excellent flavors and creativity - a must experience in the upscale Indian cuisine!
Overall it was wonderful. Delicious food and exceptional service. Tony, our server, enthusiastically answered menu questions and made genuine food and drink recommendations. The woman manger, can’t remember her name, even came over to ask us how our experience was. We had such a good experience that we lost track of time and had to rush out but she even anticipated our needs by getting our check so we could make it to a show. Unfortunately, we had to leave our desserts behind right after ordering so we will have to return to try them soon.
Service was fantastic as was the food. Would highly recommend and will definitely be going back! Every dish was fabulous
The food at Rooh is outstanding! So innovative, savory and delicious. It’s one of my favorite restaurants! The atmosphere is attractive - fun mixture of decor. The service is very good - all servers and staff wore masks at all times. The only detractor is that there was a smell of old damp mops in the air inside (like you get in old worn out restaurants that need updating) and it was quite cold inside from the AC.
Always changing menu, great service and fantastic cocktails
Super bright inside, even in back of restaurant. And that brightness is amplified by the giant white table we sat at. Zero heat in any of the food. Apps were much better than entrees, which were very overpriced. Naan was not good, was flat and seemed pre made or packaged, flat. If you want excellent indian in Columbus go to Amul India. Drinks are fun, not a good wine list but the rosè I had was great!
Amazing food that you will not get anywhere else. The drink menu is one of a kind
Very odd Indian food. May be appealing to strict vegetarians
While in Columbus we had dinner at ROOH, a highly rated modern twist on Indian cuisine with a very interesting cocktail list posted on their website (they had me at the the cocktail ingredients I needed to google to understand).
It was indeed fantastically good food, but the absolute star of our dinner was the bartender Genevieve J! Watching their meticulous preparations of our first two cocktails was watching art in motion. From number of steps involved, the addition of homemade magical potions from various bottles and jars, the expert shaking and stirring techniques, to the flair of garnished finish, it was mesmerizing.
We each had three different cocktails - two from the menu, and the last two were ‘Genevieve’s choice’, their personal concoction based how we answered a few spirit and flavor questions. Every one of the cocktails they made was truly amazing.
The wait staff at ROOH were equally engaging regarding the food menu. We discussed options based on our typical Indian food preferences, which they helped us use to navigate through their fascinating offerings. We opted for a diverse selection for starters and mains. It made for a delicious fusion of familiar favorites layered with exciting new flavors. Outstanding!
We ended our late dinner at ROOH’s closing time. But the staff assured us we should not rush, sincerely encouraging our continued comfortable enjoyment. So we finished our last drink and nibbled the leftovers having a great table-side conversation with Genevieve J about the emerging food and drink scene in Columbus and elsewhere. Genevieve shared a lengthy personal list of what they thought was most interesting right now in and around the city (in addition to ROOH, of course!).
The craft cocktail world should defintely keep an eye out for Genevieve J! Another great reason to plan a return trip to Columbus soon.
Update: A week after our dinner at ROOH, Genevieve was featured in Columbus Monthly as a rising mixology star. Duh! No kidding!
Had a great experience at ROOH! Food was awesome, drinks were unique, and delicious. Probably one of the best Indian cuisine meals I’ve ever had. Service was spot on. Michael did a great job.
Food is incredible
Food was amazing - AMAZING!! Cocktails were unique and oh so good. Service was fantastic! First but not last time at ROOH!
Always great. So many fun things to try.
The food was absolutely outstanding and our server was phenomenal. He was very knowledgeable and made great suggestions for us. After speaking to the manager about how great our server was he said he had only been with them two weeks. I highly recommend Rooh.
Great food and great atmosphere. Bartenders are great too. I didn't have the best server but perhaps it was just an off night
Most unique restaurant experience in Columbus. It is our absolutely favorite!!
Wonderful food and the waitress was very helpful in explaining the menu and came by to check on us. Cocktails were amazing and unlike anything else in town. Overall a great dining experience!
Outstanding and interesting Indian food in great location. Good for large or small groups!
I was so happy to try Rooh Columbus because I heard great things about the one in Chicago but didn’t have the opportunity to go. I came here and had really high expectations. The food was amazing, flavor wise, presentation etc. Our server was very nice but service was slow. I’m giving them some slack since it’s a new restaurant. Totally would recommend this fabulous restaurant if you want to try upscale Indian food. Loved the mixed drinks but bar service was a little slow too.
It was worth the wait! Took a long time for food and drinks, I assume due to staffing shortages. But the drinks and food was absolutely incredible. Highly recommend the Kokum cocktail, Potato Tikki small plate, Butter chicken large plate with rice & naan, and for dessert the lemon rose posset.
