Rooftop at Wayfarer Hotel DTLA

The lamb chops and the steak were exquisite..... I want the lamb right now as I type. LOL

The view is absolutely beautiful and the food is delicious! Very great service and the aesthetic is amazing. Definitely recommend if you want a good view of downtown LA and yummy food!!

The atmosphere was great. Perfect place to have brunch with your gals and catch up. The only down side was that the back area does not have umbrellas so bring sunglasses and add extra sunblock. Other than that, the place is great and the margaritas were amazing.

This 10 course experience at $69 a person probably is not worth the value. When we ordered it as a group as advised the waiter came back and said that he wasnt sure if the beverage (1st course) was ready. It was a frozen coffee type drink. It was not frozen as it should have been and it was served in a paper cup. Then came the 2nd course which was one bacon wrapped date that temperature wise felt like it just came out if the fridge... pretty sure that should have been served warm. One by one the “courses” came out and none were better than just ok considering the price and the “experience”. To top it off they state that there is a limit per table which I understand but it would be nice to get a reminder 15 minutes before they try to kick you out rather than a “we need the table now” especially when your group just ordered a round of shots at $20 a pop. The waiter then proceeded to bring us out bill immediately after dropping off our shot and then again said “sorry we need the table” ... sorry can we take these shots we just spent $100 and have a second to bring out our debit cards? Our bill was $600 and for a group of 4 the tip was included- 18%! So they got a $75 tip for dropping off food throughout and for asking us to leave. They did not once come and ask if we needed anything else or if everything was okay. We had to get their attention.
For $600 I would rather have gone somewhere else .. nobu, takami, in my opinion even a basic brunch would have provided a better “experience” than this. Very disappointing!

Great food and drinks

This place was such a good vibe! The view during sunset was beyond gorgeous! The service was amazing we arrived about 15 minutes early and we were seated almost immediately, they were able to squeeze us in to the Lilly bar downstairs right after dinner! Will definitely be coming back to Wayfarer!

We had reservations for a bday party for 2:30 and when we arrived the gave us a warning that the kitchen will be closed at 3pm

Obviously not great when you have a large group so it would have been great if anywhere before booking or when talking to the person on the phone this would have been mentioned .

The food was average and the drinks were average . The drinks that came with the brunch... I could have gone without ..

If I have to do this again, I’d chose a different place at least for something like this

Went for my birthday brunch and everything was perfect. From the food to the sights from the roooftop to the ambiance. The only thing was that they were about to give us a hard time about ordering food for everyone because we came a little late. I wasn’t told that last call for food would be at 3pm even though our reservation was at 2:30pm. It didn’t make sense to even have a reservation be available at that time if they would stop serving food at 3pm. But besides all that, the host was gracious enough to let us order food for the late comers.

We had a wonderful experience.

Two words. Lamb chops. They were amazing! We ordered 3 rounds. The staff was very accommodating and quick. I highly recommend the Wayfarer. Try the LA girl cocktail too!

A really lovely experience. Vintage but updated and hip hotel with a cool rooftop restaurant offering stunning views of Downtown LA. Very stylish and comfortable, and a varied menu including lots of seafood. We had the salmon and the scallops, as well as the ahi tartare, all fabulously prepared. The service was great, and they allow dogs.

Absolutely wonderful. Making a reservation was beneficial for sure. Every staff member we encountered was amazing. The ambiance was stunning (even in the day). Highly recommend and will definitely be returning. Mauricio and Manny were just top notch!

We got sat thirty minutes after our reservation. They seemed overwhelmed at the host stand. But, overall good.

The atmosphere was great. The waiter was not very attentive. Drinks were left empty even after asking for more to drink. The restaurant was completely out of beer, had very little wine and no iced tea. The food tasted good, but $24 for a burger should have yielded amazing and it was far from that.

The vegan option was actually really flavorful! Usually at restaurants the vegan option is bland and lazily put together but my veggie tacos were outstanding. Thank you for making my friends bday so special 💜

My server was amazing- he was my favorite part of the night. He truly made me feel special on my birthday and made it a night to remember. He’s probably one of the best servers I’ve ever had. Thank you for a lovely birthday dinner.

Perfect spot for a staycation. Friendly and accommodating staff, great food, and ambiance. We were able to experience the rooftop, accommodations, and lounge. We were pleased with all aspects. I Highly recommend it!

It’s a great place- great vibe. Wish they had more specialty cocktails and more healthy food options. Overall a great Saturday night date place

The Food & Location were 5 Star! But, my server- Michael...was beyond top notch...his service level is the best I’ve had in while!! He’s 10 Star...Dude! I’ll be back!

The place itself is nice. But the quality of the food and drinks for the price we’re just average. The food serving was more like a snack instead of a meal. And they don’t have much drink options. They were out of stock on some, not sure if that is due to COVID

Depending on where you get seated, their view is not the best compared to neighboring rooftop bars in DTLA. Food was good but is extremely pricey for what you get, IMO.

Was nice different experience

Ultimately I was disappointed by the food. I chose to the 10 course executive brunch that was $69. I expected to be impressed by the food but unfortunately I was underwhelmed. The food tasted old and premade. The drinks were the best thing besides the service. The area around the hotel also isn’t the best. They also aren’t offering valet...a hotel not offering valet?

Very insightful employees here. They gave me unsolicited feedback that I actually appreciated - don't mean this as a dig, but the servers have personality and are enjoyable to talk to. The drinks and food were amazing along with the views. Would definitely recommend!

The place was so beautiful and peaceful . Our waiter Irvin was super welcoming and nice . Food came to the tables fast and super warm . I can’t wait to come again & see the best waiter there Irvin !

Natalie is Amazing. My daughter said she wanted to go back to see her before we checked out. My only issue is that the hotel guests can’t really enjoy the space because it’s seems like it’s more for outside patrons, and without reservations you won’t be able to dine in. However they are very accommodating if you want take out and you can take it to your room and eat. The food is amazing the drinks and service are great too.

We were made to feel welcome. I liked the whimsical style of the Hotel. The Rooftop has a great vibe. I’ll eat here again.

Very crowded while waiting for our reserved table took almost 1 hour to get our dinner after ordering... took a long time to get drinks after ordered .... beautiful ambiance

i made online reservation for dinner for 4 girls, we got there and table wasn't ready, then they put us in the back on couches with very low table we cant eat there, then we requested to be seated on a dinner normal table, we had to wait 30min till our table was ready, then we sat and we got our appetizer and the portion is very small then we got our dinner and was even smaller, basically we left hungry with a high bill

A great spot to sit outside, enjoy good food, and see and be seen! Service and food both excellent.
