The menu may look lean but it covers all of the bases. Great food, good service, excellent cocktails! Can't wait for the weather to improve to enjoy the outdoor area and fire. Great location in the middle of it all.
The server was extremely rude and tried to overcharge despite clear menu prices published, and denied to correct. Not to mention, the server blamed us as the customer for not being clear with our order. The manager acknowledged the mistake and corrected the check. Would not go back for this reason.
Incredible service from Sean. He was friendly and helpful
The food here is very bland, I got the chicken wings and the chicken and risotto and there was no taste off either, it was very off putting. I ended up not eating the main, somebody needs to introduce spices and herbs and even just salt and pepper to the chef here!
The drinks were nice.
Food was very bland, tiny portions. Taste like it was frozen food reheated. Way over priced. . Could not be worse value for your money.
The menu they offered was limited and not what was posted online. The drinks are extremely expensive for the low key vibe.
The bartender - Sean - is the #1 reason I would come back! Amazing cocktails.
Awesome place I will recommend it for sure.
Thank you for taking the time to share this wonderful review and for the recommendation! This means so much to us and we are so appreciative.
Great food and drinks, and excellent service. The cod cakes were awesome. The cocktails were unique and delicious- I loved the Moira Rose! Our bartender was personable and knowledgeable. This was my husband’s and my first time eating indoors since COVID hit and the precautions they take made us feel very comfortable and safe: distanced seating, gave info for contact tracing, and very clean. I highly recommend Rebel’s Guild and we will be back!
We really appreciate all of your feedback! We couldn't agree more that the cod cakes and cocktails are awesome. We are also truly glad you felt safe in our establishment. Thank you for your review, and we look forward to welcoming you back in the future!
The cocktails were amazing!! The food was good, too, but you should go for the cocktails. The head bartender is so fun and he creates all the drinks! They are all so unique and obviously perfected. It was quiet when I went because of the time of day, but seems like the perfect place for a Saturday night. Cannot recommend the bar enough.
LillianP – Thank you for the great review. We love our cocktails as well! We hope to entertain you again soon.
Me and my son went for his 10th bday. He is a history fanatic so i knew he would get a kick out of the decor. I was right. The restaurant was so cool and the drink menu (for me obviously) was amazing. We ordered the fried chicken wings which the server brought with the sauce on the side just in case my son didn’t care for it (smart move). It was delicious. We then split cheeseburger and the Mac and cheese and both were phenomenal. Easily the best burger I’ve ever had. For dessert they brought out a brownie cookie skillet with vanilla ice cream so we could sing to him. Out of this world. Can’t say enough about the whole experience. Although not an”family” restaurant, they definitely made us feel very welcomed for his 10th bday and we will definitely be back!
We’re delighted to hear that we went above and beyond in providing you and your son with the best experience possible. Rebel’s Guild was designed to celebrate Boston’s history and we are glad that he enjoyed this! Thank you again for this review and we hope to see you again soon.
A hidden gem that I never knew existed. The cod cake app was a great way to start the meal. The bartender was very accommodating and recommended the penicillin which was to DIE FOR. Overall it was a great choice for a Saturday dinner with a few cocktails and friends.
We are very delighted to hear that you enjoyed your experience with us! We also agree that the cod cakes and penicillin are wonderful. Please join us again soon!
Atmosphere is cozy and unique, definitely a hip hidden secret for its location. Staff was super accommodating and we were able to sit at the bar. Bartender was beyond attentive and knowledgeable. Cocktails list was extensive and really has something for everyone. I wasn’t sure what I was in the mood for but the bartender guided me to a gin drink I LOVED.. My boyfriend ordered the penicillin, we had no idea a scotch drink could taste so good. Ordered the burger and it really was one of the best burgers I’ve had.. the maple bacon and sunny side up egg, was perfectly done without being over the top. Needless to say, this restaurant and bar is a hidden gem in the revere hotel. I will definitely be back soon to explore more cocktails
Shelby- Thank you for the wonderful feedback! We are so glad you found us. We also agree that the staff is very accommodating and personable, and that are burger is out of this world. Please join us again soon!
Was amazing across the board the ravioli was executional and all aspects of the night were fantastic.
Thank you so much for this exceptional review! We are so happy to hear that your experience was exemplary, and are so appreciative of this wonderful feedback. Thank you again!
None world recommend to friends and family . Great vibe
ReneM – Thank you for the great rating! We look forward to hosting you again.
It took over 25 mins to get a drink and that happened 3 times. It seemed like nobody was in charge.
First and foremost, please accept my sincerest apologies for the unsatisfactory experience you had during your time with us. Please know that what you describe here is not the level of service expected of our employees and our product. We hope to welcome you back for a much better experience
Stumbled upon this gem which recently reopened! Great food, unique cocktails and friendly but attentive service, all bundled in a cozy yet slick atmosphere. Started with housemade clam chowder and ridiculous warm cornbread right out of the oven. Revere Burger was perfectly cooked and the roast chicken was moist and flavorful, served with a warm kale salad. Save room for dessert and get the “Brookie.” You won’t be disappointed. We will definitely be back!
JulieB - We’re delighted to hear that we went above and beyond in providing you with the best experience possible! The items you enjoyed are some of our personal favorites and we will be sure the rest of the team hears the wonderful feedback you provided. We look forward to welcoming you back to Rebel’s Guild in the not-too-distant future!
My sons 18th birthday, we waited for almost 30 mins for our waitress to come to the table and even take our drink order, she never came, a different waiter helped us. When she finally came to take our order, she took the first two peoples order then disappeared before I could give her mine. When she finally took my order the other two had their food already. Overall, service was very disappointing
Thank you for taking the time to share this review. We are sorry to hear that we fell a bit short of your expectations in some areas of your visit, this is certainly not indicative of the type of service we aim to provide to our guests at Rebel's Guild. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back to the restaurant again in the future and leave you with a better impression.
Great decor, mediocre food
My friends and I went here for my birthday. It was not a great experience. The manager was extremely unfriendly and made it a really unenjoyable birthday. He wouldn’t let our group sit together and put our tables over 10 feet apart. He got mad when we took pictures. The AC was blasting we were cold and uncomfortable on the first snow fall of the season it felt like the outdoor temp was indoors. Our food immediately got cold. The food also wasn’t good with a limited menu. I was so excited and dressed up got my bday and this resteraunt experience ruined my bday. Go legit anywhere else.
Thank you for writing to us and giving such a comprehensive review. We are sorry the temperature in dining room was not up to your liking and we will take a look at our settings and adjust accordingly. Under current MA Covid-19 restrictions, we do have to limit groups to 6 people per table and separate tables 6ft apart. We do also have to limit standing and congregating in the dining room. Thank you again for your feedback, and we hope you will consider dining with us again.
Still new so there are a few tweaks to be made, but the food was great and the design was fun. Cocktails were fun and adventurous if not strong. Server was a little flakey but nice and did eventually get us our answers. I would go back for the drinks and the dessert.
Becky- Thank you for leaving a review. We are delighted to hear you enjoyed our desserts and cocktails! It appears we missed the mark on service but we hope you will give a second chance in the near future.
A disappointing experience at a place we've loved in the past. We enjoyed our cocktails, but received our appetizer without any plates or silverware or napkins. A long, LONG time after requesting these, our food was stone cold, and sadly our main courses arrived before the appetizers had been touched. Since we had to wait so long, the main courses were also cold and quite dried out. Very discouraging.
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. First and foremost, please accept my sincerest apologies for the unsatisfactory experience you had during your time with us. Please know that what you describe here is not the level of service expected of our staff. We hope you will give us a second chance in the near future and please respond back with any other feedback.
I was really impressed with this dining experience from beginning to end. Nice welcome and friendly staff. Very cool decor that is both edgy and sophisticated. The selection and quality of the food was out of this world and the bar team laid out some pretty awesome drinks (penicillin was especially good). My table had rave reviews for the tomato soup appetizer, the burger and the shepherds pie entrees. Cannot wait to go back!
AndrewG – Thank you for joining us and writing such a rave review! We’re delighted to hear that we went above and beyond in providing you with the best experience possible. We also completely agree that our penicillin, tomato soup, burger and shepherd’s pie are delightful. We hope to see you again when you are back in town!
The rooftop is a good view of the city, but the food is mediocre and overpriced. There is also no heaters on the rooftop so if you go in October highly suggest you bring a jacket.
Thank you for providing your feedback on Rooftop@Revere. Please join us soon inside at Rebel’s Guild to experience our “re-imagined” food and drink menus.
Wasn’t a big fan or the red wine sangria that we got a pitcher of 🙃 but overall it was fantastic!
We are truly sorry you did not enjoy our sangria at Rooftop@Revere. Please join us in Rebel’s Guild to enjoy our new food and beverage menus.
Food was cold they didn't have alot of drinks they showed on menu. Service was really slow and rude.
We are very sorry about your experience at Rooftop@Revere. We hope you will give us a second chance and experience Rebel’s Guild in the near future.
Awful. Food was microwaved , service lacked as well.
Sarahh – I am deeply sorry to hear about your feedback about our food and service at Rooftop@Revere. We hope you will try our new fall menu at Rebel’s Guild soon.
So cute love the views! Service was good, just a little pricey!
The Rooftop at the Revere Hotel has a lot of potential to be a great spot. However, the cocktail drinks are very expensive and not very good. The food selection is bad, overpriced and unappetizing. Overall the experience was ok and I will not be going back anytime soon. I would go to the Rooftops and cocktail bars in the Seaport district over the roof top at the Revere they offer better quality drinks, service and food for the price.
They did not have coffee during brunch. I was dying for a cup of coffee and couldn't get it. That rooftop is part of the hotel, it just made no sense. Got a mimosa instead. The rest of the cocktails were bomb. However there were other issues with the food. When the food came out it did not follow any instructions. A friend was lactose intolerant and has allergies and requested a salad no cheese ,nor bacon. It had both. Another friend requested no mayo or dressings on his burger. It came with it. Fortunately we were in no rush because it was sunny out and we were enjoying the view and company so we had no problem waiting for the food order to be corrected. The place was empty at the time and I was next to the waiter and saw him write down everything in detail. We believed it was the kitchen's fault. Even so the place is a nice hangout area. Beautiful view. Plenty of space and currently following covid precautions which is a plus. Maybe we just had bad luck in terms of food order. I would still give it another try.
Very poor service. The servers were yelling at us not to take pictures at our own table. I’ve never heard that before, Coronavirus rules, yes, but the tables are all 10 feet or more apart from each other and this is open doors. So why is it a problem that we wanna take a couple of pictures?
The service was very low level. They just asked us what we wanna drink, brought it fast and left. And then server was just telling us to put mask on and not to take pictures. Why would I have a mask on the table, with the people I am with in my hotel room?
Just total nonsense.
Thank you for providing your feedback on your recent Rooftop@Revere experience. During these difficult times our main focus is to ensure the safety of our guests. We will take your feedback under consideration as we continue to adapt.
Perfect place for a nice night.staff is very accommodating.
Lboogie – We are glad you found the staff very accommodating. We hope to see you back again soon and let us know what it will take to get all 5s.
The chips were stale and they didn’t have many drink options. The view wasn’t that great.
First and foremost, please accept my sincerest apologies for the unsatisfactory experience you had during your time with us. I will share your feedback with the culinary team. Thank you for your feedback and we hope you will give us a second chance in the near future
The view was spectacular and the sangria was nice and dry. The tables were well spaced out and the staff was enforcing masks while away from your table. We didn't eat much, but what we had was ok -the hummus platter and the cobb salad - not great but it was fine. The chairs at the high tables and low ones are very uncomfortable, which was disappointment given the wonderful view!
DeannaG – Thank you for taking the team to write your review. We are glad you enjoyed the view and our sangria! We will take your feedback under consideration about seating when we relaunch our rooftop next year. We hope to see you back again soon.
They have a very limited menu. Skip the chips and guac, theres no flavor there and the chips are from a bag. The churros are the only thing I might recommend but were not coated in cinnamon/sugar the dipping sauce was okay. The bartender, who also waits the tables had a really bad attitude. I waited atleast 15 minutes to get a drink order in. When I comment this to him he said "look around, there are other tables here." Not the ideal response, did encourage us to leave sooner. The drinks are good. There was light music playing in the background and everyone was pretty quiet. The tables are spread out nicely. The view is beautiful and a great place to go with friends or a date but have a place in mind of food afterwords. Good for pictures swell
ChaeD - Thank you for taking the time to write your review. You have provided great feedback that we will need to follow-up on. We really appreciate the constructive criticism, and will constantly work towards meeting that expectation that we proudly set amongst all our guests.
The drinks and views here were so nice! The tree light decorations with the city lights were so pretty
DanielleA – Thank you for sharing your experience with others. We are glad you enjoyed our drinks and view! We hope to see you again soon!
Very nice location and scenery. Music was great. Would give it 5 all around but paying $17 for any ice filled drink was over the top i think but overall you’re paying for the view at the end.
Visitor32 – We are glad you enjoyed the view and music! Our prices are competitive with other dining establishments in the area but will take your feedback under consideration as we transition to our fall cocktail menu. We hope to see you back again soon!
Plastic knife & fork to cut steak is not easy to do.
Plate was too small for our food and slid all over the table when trying to cut our food. Making it very hard to eat & actually enjoy the meal
Thank you for taking a moment to share your experience. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We treat every situation as an opportunity to learn from, and this is certainly one of those times. We hope you will give us a second chance in the future.
Great views awesome service- just expect a small menu. Tbis is more of a drink place with small appetizers.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Please stay tuned to our menu updates as we transition into Rebel’s Guild for the fall. We hope you join us again soon!
