Brittney was great!
Food is great and the view outstanding
But this is a very expensive place
Also the music is a generic pounding beat which is too loud and hinders conversation
How about some jazz or rock or even classical or maybe just some variety
Beautiful rooftop with amazing food. The ambiance was everything. The ribeye skewer salad was by far my favorite dish but everything else we tried was delicious as well including the yellowtail sashimi, the crispy tuna, the waygu dumplings and the delicious cocktails including the lychee martini. Flavors were bright and the ingredients clearly fresh.
The food was pretty good, but I wouldn't even recommend brunch for families or friends as the staff varied from either being rude, pushy or a space cadet.
Big thanks for providing a terrific evening Greg!
Felt great to be part of a service level that has been missing at most establishments.
Amazing value for the scenery that you get here. Friendly staff and food was superb!
Awesome west loop rooftop bar with amazing skyline views. Service was outstanding from our server to valet downstairs. Highly recommend. I’ll def be back this summer.
Love this place.
Over priced. Seating was at 10.30p. They brought all the food at once as kitchen closes at 11p. Took away from the entire experience!!
The view is amazing and the atmosphere was very cool! There was a comical parade of "Instagram girls" looking for the right shot taking pictures near our table all night long. The food was very good, but we wished there were more sushi options on the menu because it is Nobu after all. The service was the most disappointing. Our server was nice enough and knowledgeable when we were able to get her attention. The problem was getting her attention. We constantly had to flag her down and once actually loudly say "Excuse me" to get her over to our table. This was done after sitting with our first drink for about 30 mins and no follow-up for our food order. This is not what you want to do when you are paying over $300 for dinner for two people. I have no problem doing this at a busy diner but not here. And we had a 9 pm reservation. So they weren't packed and we were hungry. In fact, there were a number of open tables. But at least she was consistent. When the bill finally came my wife bet me she would be back to pick it up pretty quickly. She lost that bet. We probably tipped her too much to send a message, but I was warned about the service before going there and they delivered on that warning. Next time we go, we are going to the main restaurant downstairs.
I ate at Nobu in Vegas in February and this was not even close as far as food consistency. The service was good.
The view, service and food were fantastic although we were disappointed to find out that the “rooftop” menu and the downstairs menu are different.
Nice view! Good food and good service!
Amazing first time experience! Our waitress recommended the Black Cod and we were hesitant at first but decided to get it and it was our favorite item on the menu. The views of the city were beautiful! Will definitely be returning.
If you think you are going to Nobu like their other restaurants you will be mistaken, it is a very limited menu. Very poor ambience as well, any other rooftop in downtown chicago much better. Sorry to write this review as I am a fan of nobu, but the roof top is an expensive waste of time.
Great food and beautiful view of the sunset!
Views are spectacular! Drinks were delicious as was the food! Service was excellent. Great place for dates, special occasions, girls night out, you name it! Can't wait to go back!
Great food and drinks would go back. But the Service wasn’t so great.
Fantastic old fashioneds and the rib eye sliders were phenomenal!
Way over priced. They accept rsvp 10min before last call.
Exceptional service, beautiful view, delicious food and drinks!!
Went there for a breakfast meeting at 8:45. Service was fine, but the food took FOREVER to come out. Way, way too long for a place that should be used to accommodating business meetings.
Also, the outdoor patio is great, but they don't put up the umbrellas b/c they're worried they'll fly away--which means on a hot day, it is REALLY hot in the sun up there. We went in to eat.
Not a good spot yet for a more formal business meeting, but still a lovely place to grab a drink or meal with friends.
Our waitress was really sweet. Great service from her and the food was delicious. However, it was very odd that the host made us move. He came over to say that someone else reserved that specific table. I don’t think that’s a thing. And even if that’s a possibility I made reservations and you seated me here. To then move my party after we’ve settled in 15 mins later is rude.
Great space to celebrate birthdays or getting together with friends. Staff was so kind, polite and helpful
We ordered the tuna crispy rice and tuna tacos. The crispy rice was not what I expected it to be- it almost tasted like a hash brown. Our waiter forgot our tacos and we had to remind her. The seating was very uncomfortable.
We didn’t realize there was a restaurant on the first floor too. So we had drinks and appetizers upstairs and they moved us to the restaurant when we asked. The restaurant has a much bigger selection. It was great.
We sat for twenty plus minutes waiting for the waiter to come back and take our orders as they graciously served the two tables next to us. Go figure!
Every dish we ordered came cold. The cod was fishy. Our waitress was not attentive until she brought the bill and then stood in front of our table until we gave her the credit card. I have eaten at many Nobu’s and had a fabulous experience at every one but this location really missed the mark. I will not be back.
We dined on the rooftop which is partially covered - good for a day with sprinkles - and has great views in 3 directions. We enjoyed a rose and pinot noir along with a salad of paper thin shitake mushrooms that was delicious, edamame, and shishito peppers. Our entrees included the rib eye sliders, the miso black cod, and rock shrimp tempura - all delicious. We especially enoyed the rock shrimp tempura - a light batter over greens and very tasty. We had the Chocolate Sobacha cake to end - 2 slices were plenty to share as were all of the food items. It was a really good meal on a wonderful rooftop perfect for returning to dining out in Chicago.
We was there for breakfast. Beautiful view, taste food!
Had a great time celebrating our birthdays. Our server really looked after us and helped me with food choices due to food allergies.
Turn on a 10 10 experience to view the ambience and the service was absolutely phenomenal definitely worth the hype!
We had a great time, abd our waiter John David was awesome!!
Absolutely LOVED the Rooftop at Nobu Hotel. The weather was gorgeous, perfect for outdoor dining, and at Nobu, you get a full panoramic view of downtown Chicago while you sip on your latte.
I ordered the Nobu Honey Toast, which is french toast with lemon curd, homemade whipped cream and mixed berries. John ordered a breakfast burrito with sausage, scrambled eggs, shiitake mushrooms, and tomato salsa. Both delicious!
Plus the restaurant was pretty empty when we got there so we had the full view to ourselves Will definitely be going back.
Food was good. Calm vibes. Staff was attentive, not crowded early in the morning.
Japanese fried chicken isn’t on the menu - makes no sense, So sad. Also they don’t have normal rolls, just hand rolls, also sad.
Great Food, great ambiance, and service.
Our experience at the Rooftop at Nobu was exceptional. Our server John David was absolutely amazing - he made great recommendations and made our night! The food was some of the best we’ve ever had and we will certainly be back!
Loud and unruly kids!!!
