ROOF on theWit
We were only going fort the river view but that section was closed for no given reason so we had no view at all
Beautiful ambiance. Music was much to loud for the time and space, plus talent just wasn’t great. Sound system had horrible feedback.
Waitress was not particularly attentive. Never checked on us after food arrived and we had to flag her down for more drinks. Place was not super busy on a Wednesday night at 6pm.
Would take a lot to step up their game.
Always great service. Beautiful view. Music duo was nice touch. Drink special was delicious, Berry Moscow Mule. Highly recommend the vanilla strawberry crepe dessert.
wast to much of a club vibe than what i was looking for, not great ambiance for a nice dinner out.
Tasty food and interesting cocktails, but it was very loud even though we were there early before a concert, and the room was very cold.
Amazing venue with decent food but lackluster service.
Disappointed in our seating placement. We arrived on time for our reservation and was seated in the couch/non-dining table section. It did not seem like a busy night because there were multiple open dining tables. When I asked the waitress to be seated at a proper table, she made it seem like the tables were reserved. But we where there for at least a couple of hours and there tables that were never filled. Food and drink was good but really not happy that we couldnt enjoy our experience at a proper table.
No gluten free options
Drinks fair to average, service slow at times. Probably would not go back.
Server was sarcastic and very rude
very slow service. Paella was very good. Music is bar area was very loud, but maybe the place is more of a nightclub than a place for eats.
We were there early in the evening before a show so it was quiet. We choose 3 plates to share. All were very good. The buttermilk chicken was awesome. Great service. The venue space is very cool. It’s very enclosed now. I remember and miss when it was more open air. The views were better but I understand given the weather.
This is a beautiful place, great for cocktails and some good small plates. Our server was very attentive and gracious (I wish I could remember her name).
Great food, amazing location. Fun, fun, fun!
Horrible service. After the huge deal they made about reserving a table ahead of time, there was plenty of availability.
After waiting there for over 20 minutes and being served nothing but water, we decided to leave. Even after asking the poor bus boy for drinks.
Why didn’t we just go to the bar you ask? I shouldn’t have to go to the bar for service at a restaurant like this. Such a shame.
Excellent ambiance and great views. Service was excellent. The food selection was quite limited as was the beer selection. I know you’re paying for the views but the prices were definitely high
Very nice inside, but would've been nice to have more food choices.
Pre-birthday with family.
Good live music and ambiance, food was not great though.
Loved our server! Great place to get drinks for a celebration.
Eggplant toast left us wondering where is the eggplant but it was delicious anyway. Fried chicken was delicious! Pea and mint ravioli was so so.. The macaron tower was incredible! Overall the live DJ and the atmosphere was amazing
Happy hour specials were reasonably priced. Service and atmosphere great!
The ROOF on the wit was spectacular!! My friends and I had a great time, the hostess was exceptionally accommodating to our reservations (although we were late)! We were seated within minutes, the food was excellent and so was the service! I would definitely recommend it to anyone interested.
It's not as the pictures make it seem to be ......I was very disappointed....I had reserved a table and there was no table....my husband and I order the same drink...his tasted like lemon juice and mine tasted like ice water....not a good experience
I absolutely would recommend wit on the roof, only downside is the roof wasn’t opened on a nice night and my table was under a leaking ac unit. I informed the manager but wasn’t offered a different table. That was a bummer, but still great evening.
Warm, loud, great service, fun. High energy
Nice after work place or date night late. Should get a dance floor
Amazing ambiance and view! Love the new decor!
Place is beautiful and the food is good. However service was not good at all. When we talked to the wait staff they seem bothered. They rarely checked on us. I really believe when you are paying good amount of $$ you deserve much better service.
Service was incredibly slow. We only ordered 4 small plates and it took about 1.5 hours to get those. Atmosphere is a fake cool vibe. Would not go back.
I would definitely recommend ROOF on theWit to a friend. The ambiance is amazing and the food is very very good. The host was very friendly and our server was attentive. We never felt rushed, the flavors were amazing as were the views. Since it is a roof top be aware that the temperature may be cooler than on the ground so its not a bad idea to bring a shawl.
We had a great experience on Friday evening for happy hour. Our cocktails were $10 and we saved a few dollars on the appetizer we ordered. The burrata with stewed green tomatoes was delicious. Our server was very attentive and even helped take a few photos for us. The views were beautiful from every angle. We appreciated when the retractable roof was opened. The music was very lively, a little loud for one person in our group. We found the outdoor section, which was absolutely lovely and quieter. It is a beautiful space and a nice mix of all ages, with a young vibe. Love that we could reserve our table ahead of time and know we were guaranteed a space, rather than first come, first serve. We'll be back!
Really cool space. Open air during nice weather, retractable roof for not-so-good weather. More "clubby" than restaurant. We were there pre-theater - it's next door to the Chicago, around the corner form the Nederlander, and only a short walk to the Palace. I would have preferred that the music they play be something other than loud "house" music. Later in the evening - yes. Earlier hours might be a little subdued for the 45 and up set. We might have stayed a bit longer and purchased another cocktail. We still liked it and had a nice time.
My favorite stop. Lively, upbeat, fun and posh
Creative foods. Limited choices but could choose small plates or sharing plates. The view is amazing. We did find it very noisy with the DJ thumping the same ruthenium all evening. Would have been nice to have softer tunes early. Also several private parties in the room were overwhelmingly loud trying to talk over the music. But happy we went and extremely happy we arrived early.
The Roof was thee best ambiance I've ever experienced from a rooftop atmosphere. The music was great, drinks were great, food is a bit pricey but I'm sure it would have been great as well. The views were out of sight!!! A must see for sure
Best view was right off the elevator otherwise you were just looking at building tops, food was mediocre at best, good cocktails but inconsistent service. Fun vibe and good look but probably would not go back again.
This is a lovely summer evening place. Great view, they had nice live music (duet singing pop). Service was good and management attentive. Little pricey but worth it
Great bar with tasty drinks and wonderful food. The view is everything. Make a reservation.
This was a date night with my fiance.
The ambiance was very nice and we really enjoyed the drinks.
If you can make reservations, please do because it seems like this place can really fill up.
The food was okay. I honestly was expecting more options than shareable plates.
No real dinner menu would be my only con.
