Went in for Sunday brunch and everything was delightful! Have dined at ronin several times and never leave disappointed. The best restaurant in BCS and a must visit when in town!
A food experience like none other! Definitely worth it. Good portion sizes and prices. One of a kind dishes!
As always, 5-Star and amazing!!! 5th time to eat at Ronin’s and we are NEVER disappointed!! Best restaurant in the Brazos Valley by far, and just as good as most in ATX, DAL or HOU!
Also, our server, Kiersten, was a rock star!!! 👍🏼💯
There is nothing like Ronin in Bryan/College Station. The service is great, the food is fresh, the decor is eclectic. Wife and I had the scallops and CF Steak. Will be back soon.
Wonderful experience! The food was delicious. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and "nice", but not too nice where you didn't feel comfortable. The staff was very accomodating. We had our three kids with us and they were able to split items. We will return!
Delicious, inventive food from their family farm. The menu always has something a little different each time we go. Service is warm and knowledgeable. Everybody who we've taken there has been very impressed, even friends from out of state/larger cities. We love this place.
Great atmosphere, wonderful service, and excellent food!
Ronin is a new hidden gem in Bryan/College Station. The food was fresh, different and fabulous. You will enjoy every bite!
I would drive out of my way to eat there again. Loved it.
Ronin was a magical experience! The majority of the menu was was grown on their farm and you could tell a difference! I had the fish taco which were lovely! My sister had the scallops and said they were the best she’s ever had! (Which is impressive because she orders them everywhere we go!) We also spit a salad that was outstanding! For dessert we had the peach cobbler and let me tell you the pastry chef is a genius... cobbler is my favorite dessert and this blew all of them out of the water! As always service was impeccable. Thanks Ronin ❤️
The food was delicious and creative. Our server was excellent and the ambience was lovely and relaxing.
One of the best and most unique dining experiences in the Bryan / College Station area. Outstanding selections.
Extensive wine list.
Great service, cool concept, uncomfortable bar stools, good food but over priced.
The seating set up took a little getting use to. But overall great food and service.
Exceptional dining in every way and family friendly. We love the creative, fresh cuisine and the ambiance. We will be back and will highly recommend to our friends and family.
Wonderful food and great ambiance! Will go again!!!
We surprised my husband for his birthday with an early dinner with our two small kids (I know, I know!). We’ve come several times for date night and brunch, and this is hands down our favorite restaurant in the area! It was quiet early on a Wednesday, food was completely outstanding as always, and our server was attentive and kind. If you haven’t been here yet, you are really missing out. Can’t wait for our next meal at Ronin!
I wanted somewhere nice to eat for the one night we were in the area. Ronin did not disappoint. Although I was surprised by the communal tables (I hadn't read that) I loved the whole experience and so did my entire family (ages 9, 11, 13, and 45. LOL) The food was outstanding, the service great. The cheese plate, ravioli, quail, and souffle were world class good. Five stars. Wish I could give it six.
One the best Farm to Table restaurants I have been to.
Chicken Fried Steak was amazing. Great wine list and bar. The restaurant is a 100 + yr old restored ice house. Definitely a must when in College Station.
We had heard about Ronin’s full moon dinners, held at the farm monthly, but unfortunately our time in Bryan-College Station did not coincide with the next full moon dinner. Much to our delight, we discovered that the family had opened a restaurant in the Old Ice House in Bryan.
The atmosphere was exceptional, seating was unique with communal tables hung from the ceiling by cables, though we went there midweek so we felt like we had our own private table. The menu is quite limited, only five entrees included. My wife had quail with eggplant and corn. It was amazing she claimed, though her first choice, lamb, was not available as they had just run out prior to our reservation. I had the ribeye and frites, which came with corn on the cob and leeks. Never before having enjoyed leeks, I must admit that I was stunned at how delicious these were. Of course, they simply complimented my wonderful meal, the steak cooked to perfection as a nice medium rare. We also indulged in a half loaf of white bread which was a good choice as we would have likely devoured an entire loaf had we ordered it, it was superb. Odd, writing about bread when describing a meal, but just as everything else, it was incredible. A nice, reasonably priced, wine rounded out our meal. Unfortunately, we were too full to try any dessert, but all looked every bit as good as the meal. The service was professional, yet extremely friendly, and the owner/chef even took time out to come visit with us for several minutes. Overall, I would highly recommend Ronin’s to anyone looking to enjoy a wonderful dining experience.
Always a great experience. Went with the pancakes today. The strawberry jam is heaven. Drinks were fabulous.
We had a nice family dinner at Ronin. We really enjoyed the cheese and bread tray, we like to try new things and this was one of those times and we were not disappointed. The chicken fried steak was really good as well. There was some confusion with our first reservation and the manager contacted us immediately and made it right, we really appreciated that. They even sent us home with a sweet treat. We will be dining again and try some of the other dishes that Ronin has to offer.
My daughter and I were excited to try a new restaurant and Ronin did not disappoint! Our appetizer consisted of the cheese board with 7 varieties and it was excellent! The sweet potato gnocchi was mouth watering with its flavorful array of herbs. We will definitely be back!
Ronin is absolutely my favorite place to eat here in town. The staff is so warm and friendly and the atmosphere just can't be beat. The 107 year old building has so much character and charm, and the entire space is warm and inviting. From moment you walk through the door, you feel welcome. The menu changes daily, and I love trying something new every time I come in. Watching the farmer walk through the door at the beginning of the evening with the produce that will soon be served on my plate, is just a genuine experience that cannot be beat. The wine, beer and sake selection is excellent as well, and the staff is always willing to help me find something on the menu that will pair well with my meal. I will continue to come back here again and again, as I truly believe that this is the best restaurant in this area.
Our anniversary at your restaurant was very good. The food was excellant. The only negative was that we were seated next to a table with six small children. Who at times were loud and out of control. That took away from use trying to have a wonderful evening on our anniversary.
Such a lovely night at ronin! Went for a quick bite with a friend and it did not disappoint. She had the gnocchi and I had the fresh snapper-soo yummy and unusual! I would also highly recommend their tomato salad. All fresh from their farm!
Lovely brunch!! It was the restaurant’s first birthday so very festive and fun atmosphere. I got the gnocchi and my friend got the scallops. So delish
This is not just the best restaurant in Bryan/College Station - this restaurant has better food than any restaurant in a city like Austin, and is comparable to the best places in Houston. Everything is straight from the farm just a few miles away, and is seasonally appropriate. Anything pickled or fermented is done especially well. The building is one of the most historic locations in town, and after decades of disinvestment in downtown, it was just reopened last year with this restaurant, and a wedding venue in the back. The space is done beautifully and has a nice view of the brewery a block away. If you like good coffee after your meal, this is one of the best places, with both pourover (Chemex) and espresso available.
My wife and I went here for a date night and we are so glad we found it. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and timely. They recommended alcohol pairing with certain dishes/appetizers. We got the lamb loin and red snapper and they were both incredible. Finished it off with a strawberry lemonade soufflés. Could’ve have asked for a better meal/experience. We will definitely be back.
Great atmosphere. Great wine selection. Food was excellent! Will definitely be back.
This establishment is really outstanding. The food quality was brilliant, the prices affordable, and the service exceptional. I travel internationally frequently and have experienced many great restaurants and cafes. This one is in the top tier.
The weather was lovely and we chose to sit outside and had a leisurely conversation over the three hours we were there. We enjoyed the cheese/charcuterie appetizer before our entrees, sipped a cab franc, found the entrees tasty, beautifully presented, imaginative. Our server was delightful and attentive. I hope you'll enjoy it as much as we did.
Took my wife for Mother's Day brunch. Really great atmosphere and the staff was top-notch. Always friendly. I had the sweet potato hash, while my wife had the fish. Both were excellent. Then we followed up with the beignet's, which were awesome!
Food was excellent and staff was friendly. The souffle we had for desert was incredible.
Our first experience, highly recommend. We needed a casual nice venue for 6-8 for a graduation celebration, Ronin fit the bill perfectly. We were even running late, and called with our 30 min delay, no sweat they said. Most impressive was assorted delightful, beautiful appetizers gratis to our table since our food was running a little behind (we hadn't even noticed the delay). Scrumptious farm to table-including from their garden with beautiful presentation and a cozy, quiet window table. Texas Wagyu melts in your mouth and their garden mixed salad is the BEST ever. All in a cool renovated historic ice house.
We knew about the Ronin's reputation and it lived up to its reputation.
Great food, great service, friendly staff, good location
Went to Ronin for our daughter's TAMU graduation dinner. This was our first time at Ronin. It was delightful! The steaks are pricey, but huge!! The atmosphere was warm and unique. You sit at a very long table with other families. That turned out to be entertaining for us! We really enjoyed the entire experience and the wine!!
Fantastic dining experience!
Staff was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable on menu.
Graduation day was terrific.
Can’t wait to dine there again soon!
We had a reservation for 6:45 for two people. We waited until 8:00 to be served our dinner. The waitress kept saying it was coming, but we almost left an hour into waiting. The red snapper was good, but there’s no way it would take that long to cook! I wouldn’t recommend going as even though it was good food, it was also over priced.
Thank you for your feedback. We're not certain the timeline of events, but, we apologize. We have had many very large groups for graduation which would be the reason for any wait time; you are correct, it doesn't take 1hr to cook. We drive weekly to Houston for fish right-off-the-boat + raise our own meats/vegetables, which is why our food does cost a bit more. If you would like to send a message to the email on our site, we would love to have you all back to change your opinion about our food.
