Our visit is always good! The staff is so friendly and the food is always tasty and hot. This is our favorite restaurant .
always good. we love eating here. the staff is always so friendly and we love the food.
Always good!!! Staff is very helpful and the manager always stops by to see that we are being well served.
Made reservations and wasn’t honored with it cause I came there at my reservation time and was told we didn’t make the list and that I would have to wait another hour and half. So no it was terrible and never again will be going there.
The food and the service (for the most part) was impressive as always. The only drawback was the fact I had a reservation for 2 at 8 pm Valentine's day and was told it would be a 40 minute wait for my reservation. I was also told there was a 2 hour wait for walk-ins with 2 lines of people stretching back to the entrance. My fiance and I waited 40 minutes but still didn't have our reserved table. In the meantime the 2 lines of waiting people had gone down and then replenished. When approached by the staff, after a wait time over 40 minutes for a reserved table, we were moved to a table. When the staff member looked on her list to find my name I could see my name was at the bottom of her list with nearly 10 tables still ahead of us. In spite of that we were moved to a table and our evening proceed without a single problem and impeccable service. My only question is, what good was my reservation?
Made Resv on 2/07 for dinner at 7:30 on 2/14 Received several requests to confirm which I did. Arrived at 7:00 and found line outside door, aprox 30 people. Couple ahead of us said they had resv for 6 and were still waiting. I told hostess my name and resv # and was told 45-60 min wait We left after another 15 m and couple we spoke to were leaving also. Why set up resv if they have no intention /interest in keeping them even remotely close to time.
This restaurant is not run well. They did not make the proper arrangements in staff to handle the large number of people who can for Valentines Day. I made a reservation for 7:15pm. I arrived early to let the hostess know that I was there ready for my table. The hostess tells me that because the kitchen is backed up there is a 40 minute wait. I believe that it was not my problem that the kitchen was backed up. The reservation should have been honored. When I looked around the restaurant, I saw many empty tables. That told me that they were under staffed. This location is not run well. I do not recommend it. Do not waste your time making a reservation days in advance. The restaurant not honor it.
Made reservations to find out that we would still have to wait another hour before possibly seeing a table, don’t worry the host didn’t inform us we had to find out from another couple who was there way before we were.
With a reservation we still waited over and hour to be seated
The restaurant did not honor our reservation when we got there. They claimed that open table is over booking reservations even though they are at maximum capacity. We got there at 7:09, waited for a table till 8:20pm, and didn’t get out food till 9:30pm. My family and I wanted a nice valentines dinner but it didn’t turn out that way. I had 4 hungry kids that waited almost 3 hours for food. Will not go back or use open table anymore.
Made reservations on Open Table for 7:15. Arrived at 7 to check in. Waited an hour and a half before finally leaving. What’s crazy is there were still open reservation on your site. What’s the point of having a reservation if the place won’t reserve a table. Pathetic!
We had a 7:00 p.m. reservation. We arrived at 6:50 p.m. We were told that due to the kitchen backup there would be a 40 minute wait even with our reservation. We waited the 40 minutes and hardly anyone had been seated. We left and went to a nice restaurant with no waiting and great food.
One of the worst restaurant experiences that I've ever had. We made a Valentine's Day reservation nearly two weeks before the 14th. When we arrived for our 7pm reservation, we were told that the wait would be at least 45 minutes with an additional wait of 15 minutes (after seating) to even order our food. At 50 minutes past our reservation, I asked how much longer the wait was going to be and I was told that there were 8 more people ahead of us. The reservation didn't matter - if they aren't going to be honored - don't accept them and have people plan their evenings around the reservation. Many other couples were left in the same situation as us - reservations that were not being honored. Adding insult to injury - there were a ton of EMPTY tables! Valentine's Day isn't a surprise - it happens every year. If you are a restaurant that is accepting reservations (and knows that other people are also going to be going out that night) - BE PREPARED. Needless to say, we are never going to this Macaroni Grill again.
This was the absolute worst restaurant experience of my life.
It was Valentine’s Day. Reservations were an hour behind. I am unsure how you get behind on reservations as you quite literally have, in your possession, a LIST of all the people coming to your restaurant at what time. This is embarrassing and I will be applying for manager at this branch soon, as I am quite confident there is a job opening.
probably not even fair to review, but we made reservations two weeks in advance and when we got there were told it was an hour wait because the kitchen is behind... its a holiday and i don't think they were properly started so we left and didn't get to go out for the holiday. specificallywent somewhere with a reservation to avoid this so left extremely disappointed
Very dissappointed. Arrived on time for my reservation and was told that I had a 40 minute wait because their kitchen was behind. I was not going to stand there for 40 minutes waiting
We had a reservation for Valentines Day. We had to wait for an hour to be seated. Then the service was extremely slow and chicken parm half cooked. Obviously they were not prepared for the people coming in with reservations.
We had a 6:15 reservation and still waited 45 minutes to be seated. We let that slide due to Valentine's Day. However after being seated we didn't get our drinks for about 25 more min. The table next to us received cold food, and their meals came 10 minutes apart. And they waited over an hour or longer to receive them. They were upset so we knew it wasn't looking to be a good experience. Outr calamari came out a little cooler than we would have liked.
Unfortunately we had a sick child at home and had to leave. Our server Levi was trying his best though.
We paid for our app and drinks and left.
We know now to avoid Valentine's day at a restaurant.
Even with a reservation, I had to wait 30 minutes for a table. You should remove any restaurants from your service that say they take reservations, but do not honor them. I am hesitant to use your service in the future because of this.
Reservations were not honored and wait time was an hour for appetizers. The food that came out was good however the lamb was still frozen.
Waitress did not acknowledge us for 15 minutes after being seated. Took an hour to get a appetizer and then food was awful and bland. After we finished our meal, our exact meal came to our table again from the kitchen.
Our order was missed and we never received our food after over a 1 hour wait. We only received an appetizer. I would not recommend this restaurant.
Got there and literally had to flag down a server as we sat there for 10 mins with no service. Watched people coming in after us getting drinks, bread and appetizers. Will never be back. What a waste of a Valentines Dinner.
Had reservation for Valentines Day. Seated very quickly but it all went down hill from that point forward. Took a long time to get our drinks from the bar.......took longer to get our meal after being asked over and over again if we’re ready to order yet. Rushed to place order to say the least. Ordered our appetizer to enjoy with our drinks from the bar that we STILL were waiting on. Finally got drinks and then the watered down lukewarm spinach artichoke dip arrived, then we placed our entree order. Waited another 25 mins only to get 1 of our entrees. It was only luke warm. Getting colder each minute while waiting on my Husbands entree. Guess what? Yes....his was cold too!!!!! By this time we were fed up and ready to go so we told our waiter to just bring our check. My Husband said he hoped our bill was not going to be too much because our experience was NOT WORTH anything. The waiter grabbed our check and proceeded to wad it up in disgust. While waiting on revised check, out comes 2 more entrees exactly as we ordered but this time was noticeably HOT. What?????? We’d had ENOUGH. Packed up our cold food and left. Poor people waiting in line all the way out the door. Won’t be going back to this restaurant ever again. Forgot to mention we witnessed several tables having similar issues and leaving.
The staff is always so helpful and the food is always good. We have been eating there for years and plan to continue.
Macaroni Grill is a great place to dine. The food is good, the waitstaff is very attentive and helpful, the management is superb . We recommend this restaurant for all kinds of dining reasons!!
We always love our visits to Macaroni Grill in Fort Worth. Our food was very tasty, the staff was very friendly and helpful. Gabriel at the bar was great. The manager "Red" stopped b several times to be sure we were being well slerved. We come often.
Been going here for years. Still an acceptable place, but the food quality has been going downhill. The dishes don't seem to be as fresh. Even the bread doesn't have a hot center anymore. It was OK. I doubt we'll be back anytime soon.
The folks prepare great food. Their service is outstanding, waitstaff are very friendly, Manager "Red" always checking on her guests. Gabe at the bar area is a delight with lots of attention given to all who dine in that area. We will be back often.
Everything was perfect! Thank you for a wonderful 2020 lunch!
Our reservation was at 530pm Dec 31st '19 we got there earlier seated immediately then our waiter came by a few minutes gave us a sample of their house red wine very smooth had 2 glasses of wine. The ambiance was perfect my fiance and I celebrated our 7th anniversary couldn't of picked a better restaurant. We ordered our dinner with a salad and everything was perfect we could still have great conversation while enjoying our anniversary and dinner. Yes I would recommend it for date night, Anniversary, family reunions friends night out we had a wonderful dinner and great atmosphere.
I’ve always loved this restaurant, but this evening our service was slow, and the restaurant was pretty empty. My food was made incorrectly, my soup wasn’t good. The prices went up and the portions got smaller.
I waited to write this review to give a more temperate review. My husband and I took my son for dinner on Christmas day and this experience was such a disappointment. We have fond memories of RMG on University because we had out our wedding rehearsal dinner there 24 years ago and have been back from time to time.
This trip was nothing like any of the previous dinners there. I made a reservation for 3 for 6pm at least 2 weeks in advance since few restaurants are open Christmas day. We arrived about 20 minutes early and were told we would have to wait 45 minutes to let the kitchen catch up since they were behind. We were allowed to be seated and we ordered drinks. To make a long story short, they were out of the appetizer we ordered, they were out of the lobster bisque we ordered, and the tomato basil soup was barely above room temperature. But that’s not all.
A man was cleaning the table behind me and had stacked the glasses in a tower. Well the tower fell and splashed water on my back and right leg. They gave me a napkin to dry myself but they left the big puddle of water on the floor by my chair with straws included.
Although our waiter apologized, he was not the person who caused the incident. The manager has not spoken an apology to me to this day. Not one word. Our waiter was good, competent, and did his best to make things better but the responsibility was the manager’s. Very disappointed in our experience that night.
Definitely not prepared to be open on Christmas day. A reservation time meant nothing. Lasagna came our ice cold after a 45 minute wait. Manager never appeared. Just don't open on a holiday if you cannot be prepared and staffed.
We were sorely disappointed and somewhat sorry we decided to spend a special day there. We had reservations, but were not seated for 30 minutes, it was loud (hollering from the kitchen area) and the food was just okay. We had to ask for refills on water. I realize it was busy, but maybe you overbooked or understaffed, which makes for a poor experience for everyone involved.
Terrible experience. Ruined our Christmas dinner.
First of all: Good dining experience overall, despite the 30 minute plus wait over the reservation time. It was Christmas Eve, which contributed to the wait. The reason given was the kitchen was backed up, perhaps they were short staffed but the dining area was only half full. There sure were a lot of Uber Eats going out. Interesting new phenomenon of in-person diners competing with home delivery services. Perhaps it was just the holiday volume or some fine tuning needed. Our server, Emily, was great. Like I started, it was a good experience, can’t ruin Christmas with family.
OK, it was Christmas Eve, and it was busy. But we waited for an hour before our food was served. We've been coming to Romano's for years and never experienced this level of poor service. It was our server's first day on the job, and the back of the house was short handed, but we were really disappointed.
My wife and I had a reservation for Christmas Eve and Christmas night. Things were good on Christmas Eve. Vino was an awesome waiter and we were seated promptly.
Came back on Christmas night and was met by an employee outside that said they would have a 2.5 hour wait. I responded that we had a reservation and had received a message asking to confirm it. She said it made no difference because they took too many to go orders and the kitchen was backed up and would not be able to handle any more customers for over 2 hours.
In my opinion that was a management problem and unacceptable. If we had waited to be seated the amount of time of the projected wait, it would be 30 minutes past closing time.
Since they had my contact information they could have notified me of the problem and we could have made other plans. Very few places open on Christmas night.
We will not return.
