Romano's Macaroni Grill - Strongsville
Steak + Potatoes*
10 oz. sirloin, buttermilk mashed potatoes, sautéed broccolini oreganata sauce (1220 cal) or rosemary butter (1250 cal)
The service was ok considering the holiday and pandemic restrictions. The food tasted wonderful. Unfortunately my wife found a nice long black hair in her pasta when she got the left overs home.
Had a nice quiet evening with good friends and good food.
Food was great and reasonably priced. The service was a little slow as it seemed they were somewhat short staffed. It was our first vist and we'd definitely go back.
It was great, it was pretty empty and our server was great.
It's not what it used to be quality wise. Chicken tastes frozen. Favorite dishes were no longer on menu. It's ok but over priced for what you receive now.
The appetizers came out really quickly. Dinner was an extremely long wait
service was good, my chop (not so chop) salad was either two spicy from the kitchen or from to many turns on the pepper. The lobster biscue was just creamy no lumps of lumbster and just plain it was just ok.
Great Italian food. A nice atmosphere with equally nice staff. This has been a favorite of ours for a long time.
Food was good, as usual. The service was terrible. We had to ask for things multiple times and each time she acted like we were asking for the first time. There was no, "Oh, I'm sorry, let me get that for you."
Food & service were excellent. No complaints. It was a busy Saturday night, as it was also Sweetest Day. They sat us within 10 minutes of our arrival.
I had the chicken Marsala and it made me ill. I thought it was a fluke. I was sick the day I ate it in the restaurant and when I ate the leftovers the following day - they also made me sick. It’s unfortunate - I had eaten there a few yrs ago and had no issues.
Tried the new buffalo chicken Parmesan. Not a big fan. Basically deep-fried chicken batter with buffalo sauce, Parmesan cheese and a few accoutrements. It was worth a try, but I’ll be switching back to the regular chicken Parm.
Due to Covid there were only a few people inside the restaurant so it was very quiet. Our waitress provided excellent service. Not being busy she had plenty of time on her hands.
However the food was disappointing. My husband had to ask for more Alfredo sauce as there was hardly any on his pasta. My garlic butter shrimp linguine had very little sauce on it which made the taste very bland. The calamari appetizer pieces were very thin, hard and dried out.
This was our first visit. We will not be returning. Luckily we had a gift card so it cost us no money for this disappointing meal.
Tables were set up at least 6 feet apart or more.
Bread good. Calamari was awful- cold and overcooked. Salad fair. All three entrees were cool not hot. Sauces were bad. Dry and overcooked pasta! Terrible meal.
Seated promptly. Waitress was wearing a mask. She was attentive yet not overwhelming. Order arrived in a timely manner. Food was hot and portion were good.
Went to celebrate my daughters 19th birthday with family. Food was cold 5 out of 7 meals! Two steaks were cooked wrong and both were cold, we sent them back they came back 1 was good the otter was over cooked again! There were about 12 people in the restaurant besides our party of 7. No manager ever came to speak to us about the meals, some of us ate while the others waited for their food. Waitress not happy about sending steaks back and it seemed liked she was blaming us as she had an excuse for why they were prepared wrong!! This will be the last time we go to this Macaroni Grille!! Spent over $300 as well!! What a waste of money and my daughters birthday dinner was not so great!
We had a very pleasant night. Out seating was by the beautiful fire place, which made it extra special
My husband ordered the Mama’s Trio. Unfortunately, it came out cold.
Okay so made a reservation a week before the day and still had to wait about 30 minutes to be seated food got to here table and the sides were burnt the waitress was the only good thing all the rest was mediocre at best
Horrible experience on 2/14 at the Strongsville location. We had a reservation through Open Table which was not honored and found out later Open table thought we were no show. We got our appetizers after 45 minutes of waiting, and what we thought were stuffed mushrooms looked as puny as possible. Our food arrived 2 hours after we ordered, yes TWO. The manager came over, offered no explanation as to why when other guests got their food on time. since we had the 45 special Valentine's day menu, after this already horrible experience, we ended up staying for dessert, which we were charged for. I would think after this whole fiasco, they would have apologized and picked up the whole tab, but no. Needless to say an experience that should have been romantic was ruined by Macaroni Grill. This was not an unexpected event, everyone knows Valentine's day is on 2/14, they encourage/expect guests by pushing the special menu, I don't understand why they were not prepared for this. Very, very dissapointing.
Food was excellent, service as well. My husband got the steak and potatoes,I got the Salmon.
The food was 75 minutes late
The food came before the appetizers
And the food tonight was overcooked
Food took a long time. Was cold, pasta overcooked. I have had the same dish at a different Macaroni Grill and it was very different. Yuck! Will go back to North Olmsted location.
The food was good, just like you’d expect. But the service was slow this time.
Extremely slow service despite the restaurant being only a quarter full. Dry and flavorless pasta bowls and pizza dough. The bread at the table was more tasty than the any of our five entrees.
A wonderful place with quaint ambiance that so perfect for New Years Eve, and for that matter, anytime. Wonderful friendly service. Highly recommended.
Soups were very bland .,lobster bisque not one shred of lobster and tomato basil blah. Ordered glass of house wine and had to drink it in a tumbler.., really?? The lamb shanks was delicious, just surprised that for the prices that salads were extra with the entree.. probably won’t go back there again. Too many other restaurants next door that are not alacart. Had a party of 9 and we all felt same way,
The food is more often than not over salted and not the best. Enjoy the bread and olive oil. Wine list is adequate but drinks are overly sweet and weak.
We appreciate being able to make an actual reservation for New Years Eve instead of “call ahead” seating. We were seated promptly and had excellent service. The restaurant wasn’t over crowded or overly noisy and the staff didn’t appear to be stressed to keep up. A nice night out!
New Years Eve last minute dinner. Everything was exceptional. They had a New Years special menu which was a great value. Food was delicious, generous portions, refills on salad. Service was attentive and prompt. Atmosphere was relaxing. Definitely will go back.
Our server was wonderful and the food was good.
We arrived at 3:20pm, ahead of our reservation. The restaurant wasn’t crowded.
The wait to be asked about drinks took 15 minutes after we sat down.
We placed both drink and food orders. Drinks and salads came within 10 minutes. We finished our salads in about 15 minutes. This makes it about 4pm...our food came at 5pm.
Wait for food was ridiculous.
The Good - food was delicious

If this had been my first visit to a Macaroni Grill, I'd never return to another. Quite a wait for a table when plenty were open and we were not that early for our reservation. Server was rude. Bartenders didn't even serve us when I moved in there (after checking that it would be alright) to try to finish my meal. The brussel sprouts dish was drowned in the sauce and the server tried to tell me that was the normal way it's served, when she deigned to serve it. It was Christmas Day and not even that crowded. I left her a better tip than she deserved because of it being Christmas. Afterward, the restaurant never even notified Open Table that we'd been there!
food and the service were outstanding. We enjoyed our time at MACARONI GRILL. We will be back again
Service was ok. It was busy and they were short servers. The food was not good at all. I ordered fish and it was completely dried out.
It was OK. We went on Christmas Eve and it was crowded. Our server may have had too many tables because we didn't see her that much. The bread dipped in olive oil is very good but salty. We all took advantage of the unlimited soup and salad for $2.50 per entree which was a good value. The lobster bisque was below average. The ceasar salad was very good. I ordered the Chicken Scallopini and it was OK. Overall, I'd say the food was good - not great, as was the service.
Always love dining here! Christina, our server, was fantastic! Thank you! Best Eggplant Parm on the planet!
Great food and service.
This restaurant ALWAYS delivers an excellent dining experience at a very good price point. Terrific value for the money - and the eggplant parm is ALWAYS yummy! Thank you!
