Food is delicious. service is very good. Wait Staff is very friendly and helpful with recommendations.
Went here for Valentine's Day dinner and they were very busy. Our awesome server, Amanda, kept checking in on us and kept our drinks topped off. She was very sweet and also happy to answer all of our questions about the menu and made great recommendations. The food was delicious and the Tirimisu was gorgeous and yummy. I always have a good experience dining at this location. Thank you to Amanda and the rest of the Macaroni Grill staff for taking good care of my partner and I this Valentine's Day! :)
I realize it was a busy night for them so I expected a bit of a wait. With that said we were seated in a timely manner per our reservations everything started ok we ordered and soon got our appetizers once our appetizers were finished the wait began it took over 2 hours sitting there waiting for our food. Our main course was supposed to come with a salad and house soup that never showed up and we were both so tired of waiting by the time our food arrived we asked for to go boxes and left. The food was pretty good but nothing to write home about. I may try again on a slower night to see how it goes but I think 3 1/2 hours from start to finish is a little long to spend at a restaurant especially one that is supposed to be that high rated.
Overall good experience at Romano's. The pasta was overdone with my dish but they were really good about making it right.
It is our tradition to visit this restaurant on Valentines Day. This year was the best experience yet. They seem to be getting the hang of it. (Two years ago it was a bit rough). Our food was hot and fresh. Our waiter was professional and very pleasant. All in all it was a great experience.
Excellent shrimp scampi!
The evening was lovely and the food was delicious. I think the kitchen was a little overwhelmed be ause it was Valentines Day, so the food was slower than usual coming out, but it was lovely. They had some girls playing violin and we had a great time!
The food was really good and the restaurant was pretty! However, it was loud and we were seated by the aisle where traffic was going in and out. Not a table I would expect with a reservation.
I would describe the food as average. 2 of the 6 people in our party had their food come to table cold. The server was great. It was nice that we were able to make a reservation.
I love Macaroni Grill!! But this was not the best experience. Our waitress ignored us, taking orders from a couple of tables that came in after us before we flagged her down to take our order. We had to get the bus boy to get us bread and try to get her attention to refill our drinks, twice. The lasagne was good, but the Chicken Parmesan was kind of tough. My daughter ordered the salmon and wasn't that impressed either. We literally drove 60 miles to eat there because the one in Provo closed. We were celebrating two birthdays, which we mentioned to the waitress, and she didn't do anything about it or say a word. By the time we were done eating, we were running late for our show and didn't care anymore about the birthdays, we just wanted to get out of there. We went elsewhere for dessert.
Food and service is usually very good here. This time Appetizers came out right away but we waiting about 30 minutes after eating our appetizers to get our meals. Our server apologized for the wait and offered us 1 free dessert for our party of 5. We were about a minute away from walking out when our food came. And this time the food wasn’t worth the wait. I’ll probably eat there again but not any time soon.
I didn’t realize that you have to take for balsamic when you have olive oil in the plate to dip your bread. We had to ask for bread. Come on! In any authentic Italian restaurant that I have going to for 45 years, the balsmic/olive oil is on the table along with bread. The fritters de matte was a small potion for the price. It was my first time here. I would not recommend it to anyone.
Added 4 people to our reservation at the last minute and they were able to accommodate us, even though it was busy. The only thing bad is we were seated by the door and it was very cold. Every time the door was opened a blast of cold air hit us.
Waiter was very kind. Service was slow. Bathrooms were disgusting.
Great place for a date night. The atmosphere was romantic and the food was delicious 😋
We arrived late and they were really good with that. Service was excellent and food too
A tiny bit pricey but worth it! Service was great and food came out quickly. Good ambiance to the restaurant. Also, this may sound silly, but they have the best Dr Pepper I've ever tasted!
We have been going to Macaroni Grill for about 12 years. This last visit was the worst ever. The lasagna was mushy and tasted day-old. The bread was a different recipe or something. It was bad. All of the dishes were sub par. The overall food quality has gone way downhill. Too bad. We won't be going back. Too many other good options out there
I Went to this restaurant on the 24th and on the 31st of December 2018. The food is amazing. The service provided by Dean was so great. No wait time to be seated, Staff and other people nice and clean. Very professional. It was a great experience they keep the same standard every single time we go to this restaurant not only on special occasions. We loved it. Thanks.
Food is tasty and wonderful. Service is OK, but when it is extremely busy then things start to get difficult. Every single employee is friendly and working very hard but the experience suffers simply because there aren't enough people to go around on busy days and holidays. Will return on a less busy day for a better experience!
We waited an hour to get our food and when we complained our waitress kept blaming it on her chefs and manager. We got up and left. I would not recommend.
Our Host and server were very kind, although the service was extremely poor. Our food and salad arrived at the same time expect one salad and a soup she forgot. We had to reminder her serval times about the wine we ordered and also water for the table. We received three wine glasses out of four, We used a martini glass from drinks before ordering dinner as the four wine glass. After serving the food she didn't make it back see how everything was tasting. We had to ask other servers passing by for cheese, forks and E.T.C. We also had to plie dirty plates on our table to make room. We arrived at 5:44 p.m. didn't eat till 7:30 p.m. Food was cold and we asked to have desserts boxed up and the bill right away, knowing that it could be a while before they arrived. We think that maybe the problem was in the management under-staffing. I am sure that the "spaghetti factory" would of be a much better choice, as well as, the prices would have been more reasonable. I am sure that our server would have been excellent if she wasn't overwhelmed. Very disappointing.
Macaroni Grill is typically a decent place to eat but stay away from holidays and other busy days. Ran out of many specials by 4PM and server may have come to our table 5 times total. Salad not delivered and we were halfway through the entrees before the server returned. Overall disaster but I will probably go back during slower times again as they are typically pretty good.
waiter was nice and was running from table to table. not enough workers to handle crowd
Nice value on the Christmas dinner special. Very busy but service was still good. Tasty food!
We tried Romano's Macaroni Grill on Christmas day. It was a little noisy and a little difficult to hear the person at the same table due to the number of people and a few large groups of people (10 or more people per group.) The food was really good and delivered hot and within 15 minutes of ordering, despite it being so crowded. There was no rush from the staff to hurriedly get us through dinner and out the door; we had a leisurely-paced dinner and (scrumptious) dessert. About 3:20 PM, things went into a lull but as we were leaving around 4:00 PM, business was again becoming brisk. Although I thought it noisy, the quality of the food and leisurely-dining made it worthwhile. It is a good Italian restaurant where the dinners are priced reasonably, and the food is excellent and the staff attentive without being over-bearing. I would recommend it as a great place for casual (Italian) dining at a reasonable rate.
To start on a positive note or server Becky did a very good job. It was Christmas day we had flown in from out of town and this was the only restaurant we could find open. At one point a server at an adjacent table spilled a child cup of water on the floor and left the cup and mess there for over a half an hour. Finally someone pick the cup up with water and ice in mass were never addressed for almost an hour. The food was absolutely horrible. Most of the food seemed very much like it was out of a Stouffers heat and serve frozen entrée. Spent over $140 and everybody at the table had water. Very bad experience save your money.
We had a great meal. All enjoyed it and we brought children who were treated very well even though it was a night-time dining experience (Christmas Eve). We loved the food and plan to return.
Great food and even greater people! I loved it every time!
Under staffed and over whelmed.
I was very excited that they take reservations at lunch time, most places do not these days. The atmosphere was wonderful, the waitress was prompt and the food was great.
Thank you for making our work holiday lunch a great experience.
First we had to call for someone to open the door after 11am.
There were 8 of us and 7 of us received our meal, the server walked away totally unaware that he was missing a meal, we had to ask about the missing steak. In the middle of the meal we asked about the steak again. 7 of us were completely done eating before the last person got his steak. The vegetable that come with the steak had spaghetti on the plate under the vegie...ew. Had to ask for water and drink refills, this should be an automatic thing for this kind of restaurant.
Excellent food, we had a great waiter! This is an awesome restaurant for any occasion!
A little disappointed with the service on this occasion. Portions seemed smaller than they used to be and our server seemed to avoid us.
It was all great, except the food had way too much garlic. I know that's the in thing right now, but
we've had Italian food in major cities around the world, and in Italy, and they never used this much garlic.
The service was incredibly slow. Once seated, we waited 15 minutes to be acknowledged and asked for our drink order. The wine was forgotten until reminded. The dinner was excellent but slow in coming out, but it was still hot. Seemed to be ignored by our waiter, Levi. When he did arrive at the table, always seemed rushed. My wife’s cheesecake was still frozen and the coffee was cool. Have eaten there before and this was the first time we had any problems.
Made reservations for a group of 12 on a Friday night. They were ready for us and we only had to wait a few minutes to be seated. The staff and waiter were very attentive. The restaurant was busy, but didn't seem too noisy or crowed. We really liked our waiter, Levi. He was friendly, on the ball and gave us just the right amount of attention. Three of us in the group had birthdays. Levi sang Happy Birthday to us in Italian and gave us 3 free desserts. Overall the food was good. Not many of us liked the bread and olive oil. I had the Lobster Bisque - it was delicious. I also had the Mushroom Ravioli, which was a bit too sweet for my tastes, but was good. Others at the table ordered chicken, fish and pasta dishes. I heard that the Lobster Raviolo was really good. Three people ordered steaks and didn't like them, said they were tough. I had the Pumpkin Cheesecake for dessert. It was delicious. Others got the Chocolate cake (tasted it, it was divine!) and the Lemon Cake (also really good. My friend took a piece to her husband, who liked it so much he came back the next day for a piece). I don't remember which wine I had. I thought it was a bit pricey, but it was really good.
Nice to be able to make reservations. Most places like this don't have this option
Updated menu is good. Not happy with making salads alacarte to increase prices in a shady way.
Real advantage is being able to make reservations via Open Table vs other places that just put you on a wait list.
