Romano's Macaroni Grill - Fashion Place
Service was excellent with a nice, quiet atmosphere. I enjoyed the food, which was very good. The service people were friendly and efficient. I plan to dine there again at my earliest opportunity.
I enjoyed my shrimp dish but was sad that my fav -- shrimp scampi -- had been removed from the menu. (After I wondered if I could have created my own pasta and still had the shrimp scampi??) I felt portions were smaller than they used to be. My entree could have used a little more sauce, but still very good. I loved the Caesar salad. I absolutely adore the rosemary bread! I got a free dessert because it was my birthday and that was fun! Overall, I will be back because your restaurant is classy and your food is scrumptious!!
The service was fairly slow, and I had to ask my waiter to refill my water a few times. 2 of the 3 entrees on my plate (lasagna and chicken parmesan) came out cold. They made my wife's pasta with the wrong vegetable, and they said they wouldn't take it back to change it for the correct one. The food is expensive for the quality you get. I would not recommend dining here.
We love Macaroni Grill and were so glad they were open for Dine In this Mother's Day! Our waiter, Chris, was wonderful. Since the dine in was not busy we had a chance to talk with our waiter and get to know him a little. We will be back soon for more wonderful Italian food!!
We don't dine at Macaroni Grill too often because of the distance from our home to this restaurant. I received a coupon so we decided to use it this past Friday night. We were seated quickly and our waiter was prompt to greet us. He took our order and soon our soup and salad arrived. The Ceasar Salad was very tasty. But - my bowl of soup was only half full so I decided to take advantage of their "all you can eat" feature of this item. But before we knew it, our main course was delivered so I didn't get to order any more soup. We both ordered our favorite from the past - the Penne Rustica. The flavor of the sauce was very bland....we were highly disappointed. The pasta was very dry and it definitely needed more sauce. The good thing about this restaurant is the bread they bring you up front....it's crispy, chewy, and there is balsamic vinegar and olive oil to dip it in. We probably will not return to this restaurant.
Just popped in and was seated right away.
Food was served barely warm, the appetizers we ordered never came, the waiter kept saying “oops” and never fixed the problem, and at the end of the meal we saw the kid setting tables picking his nose and touching the plates. So gross! The experience was awful.
Valentines dinner. The food was excellent. The service was slower than molasses in the wintertime. To be fair the dining room was at maximum capacity which probably accounted for the slow pace of the meal.
We had a reservation and were seated within 10 minutes. From the time we were seated to the completion of dessert was 2 hours 10 minutes.
Don't go to this restaurant during a crowded time. Although this place is generally pretty reasonable, we were let down when we attended on valentine's day. We were disappointed with the professionalism of the hostess, giving away our reservation despite checking in, the crowd of people, the 1.5-hour wait for our food, and that they burnt the food. The waitress was very polite though and made the experience bearable. Due to the high number of takeout orders that they were accepting, it ruined the experience for everyone in the restaurant.
We made a reservation so that we don’t have to wait! The greater was rude and the wait to get our food was ridiculously long! We had a reservation at 5:45pm then we didn’t get to seat out table until 6:30pm. Then our meal did not arrive at our table until 7:45pm. We were full already from bread and appetizers! Our waitress kept apologizing at least she was great! The food was great and the waitress other than that the overall service was okay. If you have a reservation you should not have to wait that long! We love Romanos we love going there but somehow Valentines Day overwhelm them!
Worst experience ever. We will never go back. We knew that it was Valentines, and got our reservation for 5:45pm since we had other activities planned after dinner. We were seated at 6:20 received 3 of the 4 meals at 7:45 and the 4th meal at 7:55pm. Left the restaurant at 8:30 and the rest of the night was missed. No explanations from the staff other than, except that they had a lot of “to go” orders that they were getting out.
We love Macaroni Grill, but likely won't go again on Valentine's Day. We enjoy their Val. Day special meal, but the restaurant was stretched beyond its limit with the number of diners and to-go orders. The salad was watery, almost tasteless, the food took a long time to come. However, great wait staff who were very attentive.
We came for Valentines day and had a really bad experience. We had a reservation and were sat down at our appointment time.. That was the only thing that went right. We got the wrong drinks. Asked for more bread and never got it. We waited a little over 2 hours to get our food. When we got our food it was cold. It must have been sitting there for quite a while. They did comp our meal but it was not worth it and ruined my wife and I's valentine date. I will never go back.. They didn't have enough servers so we had a bartender waiting on us and would vanish for 20 mins at a time.
Our waitress, Amanda, was incredible! We eat out way too often and she is top notch service. We would know. She really cares about people and makes the experience the best it could possibly be. Thank you for providing such a great Valentine’s Day for me and my husband!
We went for a school dance and it was such a cute place, and our server Ethan was the best! The food was great and it was overall a great experience!
Jenna was amazing she made the experience special and fun◡̈ would go back◡̈
We had a large party and they were short handed, things took longer to get to our table but the server was kind and apologetic. Food was great
Amazing food and the best people!
The food was average, thus overpriced. The tables were way too close together, you could hear 5 different conversations at once. We definitely will NOT be going back. Not only won't we recommend it, we'll talk people out of going. They need to rethink the layout of the restaurant and either hire better chefs or lower the pricing to reflect the quality of the food. I will say the staff was pretty nice.
I had the Carbonara as I was told it was seasonal but not on the menu but can get it. So I tried it. the dish was basically tasteless with exception of prosciutto/bacon saltiness.
The tortellini that my girlfriend had was about the same in taste.
The lobster bisque soup was good though.
Service was good. wish the food was better.
The people were very nice and tried to make things better but the service was poor. We made a reservation and were seated 25 minutes late and plenty of tables were open. When we ordered, our food came out staggered - so much that my daughters food came out after everyone else had eaten their food. We had to ask multiple times for other food (more salad, drinks).
I had a reservation for four and my family and I weren’t seating for over a half an hour. We didn’t receive any bread and oil while waiting for our food until we asked for it after our food had arrived (which took a very long time). All of our food was very cold and we weren’t offered grated cheese over anything. Our visit was approximately 2 hours and our food didn’t arrive until the last 30 mins we were there. I understand it was nye but this was still a horrible experience and this was my husbands first experience there and he repeatedly told me he would never go there again.
We came for dinner on New Years Eve, it was very busy and our waitress seemed overwhelmed, and forgot about us for about 15 minutes. Our main dish was delivered before drinks, bread and salad. When the problem was identifed, it was no more than 3 minutes before everything was corrected and our origanally delivered meal was outstanding! Thank you Macaroni Grill for a grear evening!
We were arriving on a flight to SLC on Christmas Eve and this looked like one of the only open restaurants. We had a reservation for 8:15 but still had to wait around 30 minutes. They were just so busy, I think all of Salt Lake City was there! In spite of the crowd and the wait, the service was excellent and the food very good. Our waitress, Jenna, was super friendly and attentive, even though she'd been working non stop since 11:00 am that day. We really enjoyed our meal, and having such a great waitress like Jenna made it even better.
We had reservations for Christmas Day and due to overbooking, we were seated 45 minutes after our reservation time. While waiting, we noticed many takeout orders being made and going out the door, which I feel was unfair to the the wait staff, as it backed up orders for seated patrons. I would not dine here again on a holiday, due to the way the restaurant handled the reservations and takeout orders. On a positive note, our waiter was exceptional, in light of the added stress and pressure he was forced to deal with in this situation.
Great food . Served fast too
Good service, good food, excellent server. will come again
Had a reservation but was not seated for 35 minutes (but it was Christmas eve). Seated facing a dirty looking bar room. Received no utensils and dry bread. Forgot an appetizer. Food was very good.
Granted it was Christmas Eve however from the time we sat down at 5:30 it was 7:15 until our dinner arrived. There was only 5 in our party. Our waiter was great but we didn’t see him much.
when i got there i told them that i was there and that i had a reservation and then for some reason they forgot about me i had to wait 15 minutes after waiting 15 minutes i went up and send after 6 customers went ahead of us what about us and they said they lost our reservation so they would find us a table right away. they put us in the corner next to three small children that made noise and interrupt our meal
I have been to this location many times but this time was not that great. There was no music playing and the lights were all the way up which You do t typically see at 6 PM on a Saturday. My food was way over cooked like it was sitting under a heat lamp for too long. The appetizers, fried mozzarella and Mac and cheese bites, were super over cooked as well. The lobster bisque was still good but overall it was disappointing compared to what I’ve experienced in the past.
This was our first time going out to eat on Thanksgiving so I wasn’t sure what to expect. Pleasantly surprised wonderful service and food! Everyone was very nice and it made our Thanksgiving very special!! Thank you to the staff!
Food, service, waiter, atmosphere were all EXCEPTIONAL!! We will eat at Macaroni Grill again and again!!
We were there for Thanksgiving. Our party consisted of five adults, a five-year-old and a two-year-old. Our server was very nice and attentive. However, service was slow. The server repeatedly assured us our entrees were coming soon. When they did begin to come, they did not come at the same time. The chicken strips for the two-year-old was served last. The child portion macaroni and cheese (actually penne pasta and cheese) seemed to be the same size as the adult portion of the same dish.
We went for Thanksgiving dinner.
It was busy, but the service was excellent and the food was so good.
Thanksgiving Meal was our very first visit to Romano's Macaroni Grill. The weather was extremely bad but we drudged through and glad we did. The food was perfect and the service was top notch. Our waiter made sure we were comfortable and had what we needed. Yummy! Will go again. 100% satisfied with the meal.
The food is WAY overpriced. I will not be dining at this establishment again.
Our service was horrible. We had a table of six. The waiter could not manage more than three glasses of water at a time and when they were placed on the table the water was spilled EVERY TIME. So we had puddles of water on our table the entire meal. He served us bread but no oil or pepper in the oil. He did not keep the oil plate filled. I went and got the pepper and milled it into the oil at least twice. He didn't come back to check on how our food was once we received it. The kitchen was VERY slow. It took us 20 minutes to order and 40 minutes to receive our food. I sent back the tomato basil soup because it was cold. Another order of lobster ravioli was luke warm but we were so hungry by the time our food was delivered, we didn't dare send it back. I complained to the manager; her response was acceptable but had many excuses. She comped one meal and gave us a 25% discount on the remainder of the bill. We won't be going back.
Our waitress was absolutely fantastic, providing not only great service but also friendly and patient assistance. She went to the bar tender to ask a question for me, getting his opinion and took the extra time to make sure we enjoyed every aspect of our meal.
The food is mediocre and slightly overpriced. The service was poor and quite slow. We had to ask multiple times for bread, balsamic vinegar, and drink refills. I would be inclined to recommend the other Italian restaurant chain instead of Macaroni Grill.
