Romano's Macaroni Grill - Reno
sautéed jumbo shrimp, capellini, spinach, mushrooms, garlic, pine nuts, lemon butter
hand-breaded milanese-style chicken breast, imported pomodorina, mozzarella, capellini
We love the food at Macaroni Grill. It was easy to get the open table and our wait to get in was just a minute or two. Service was fantastic, quick, and to perfection. Our server was very tentative to our little special request and made sure we enjoyed our meal. All was delicious to the point that dessert was not necessary and even had a bit to take home.
Waiter James was prompt, polite, and attentive. We had spaghetti and meatballs and we both found it absolutely delicious. Pricing was fair. We will definitely go there now instead of Olive Garden where we went previously.
Mother’s day Dinner with my mom and my husband. We had a wonderful server name Cristine and she has been amazing and very attentive and made it a special time for us.
I asked for more bread and 20 minutes later the waitress comes back but by then we were ready to go. When we first sat down she put the balsamic in the oil (hate balsamic) but like oil. I had to ask for parmesan cheese, come on the spaghetti is bland without it. Asked for butter and at the end was something green. I ate around it lol. The servings seem much smaller than they use to be and for the price, you pay a little sad. We ordered Chicken Parmesan. It wasn't busy at all. I would still recommend you all, but this experience was dissapointing.
Fettuccine Alfredo was way too salty. And the place doesn’t really seem like the other food was that great either.
The food was amazing but the service was something to be desired. People should be excited to be getting back to work and to be able to serve their customers. She was very friendly but forgot condiments wen they were asked for and was not as attentive as she could have been considering the restaurant is still at 50% capacity.
There also was no bar available and only 3 beer options in the bottle which were all domestic. Beverages were definitely sub-par. I know we need to cut them some slack regarding getting re-staffed but restaurants have been back open for a while now. I hope they can get up to speed soon.
It was our first time dining at this location. The staff was friendly and when my dinner was taken by another server, the chef came by to apologize. My husband and mother were finished before I got my meal. We were not in a rush. The meal was excellent, just a little delayed.
Took 20 minutes to get water. The bus boy came over and said server was tied up and asked what we’d like to drink. Server was friendly but way to busy. Took our order went over and socialize with another party. Took another order and then put our order in. Food came pretty quickly once placed and was very good.
Service was good, food was great, sadly the decorations that are usually around the restaurant were put away because of the Covid pandemic.
Already left feedback regarding our horrible service. Will never go back.
Turned out to be a nice place to have lunch during the business week. Shared two appetizers and had separate salads.
Wonderful food and wine........great waiter........reasonable prices.
Friendly server. Delicious food. Will definitely refer others.
Our experience was okay; resturant is run down; nails in walls where pictures use to hang. The building is tired. Was surprised to see waiters in jeans and not professionally dressed.
Our waitress was good and experienced. She was over worked, covering most of the tables so service was not great.
My food arrived warm, not hot.
Good service was the highlight. Food was mediocre at best. Ambiance was not the least bit relaxing.
Waitress was so pleasant. Food was excellent and we felt very safe. We would recommend Romano’s for a night out.
Consistent food quality - cooked fresh and service is always A+!
Place was dead was seated still took 20 min before seing anyone then was told they didnt want to honor there special anymore we could order it all separately for way more expensive i asked why the waiter said they were out of what they put aside for the special now everything was separate even though they still had what the specials were then my girl ordered something the waitress came back amd said they just put the last one on the grill so the 20 min wait could of got my girl her salmon so mu girl ordered a stake mediam and they brought her that was so rare it could of ran away and instead of saying sorry the waiter just said ok took plate and left 15 min later came back never said sorry or anything so i eat my food cold then charged me 60 dollers for the 2 stakes i chose not to get the appetizer or dessert because it would of been well over 80 for the same thing that was on special for 45
The service was just fine. It was the food that was terrible. Reminded me of middle school kids trying to make Italian. The lasagna just had ricotta and noisier with sauce dumped on top. The Buffalo chicken Parmesan was just chicken doused in franks red hot. I won’t be back.
Excellent service and the food was very good. Overall great experience.
We had a great experience with our reservation and our waiter was fabulous.
Service was super slow, short staffed but waitress was sweet.
The cooks messed up the order which delayed us getting our meal. We waited over an hour to finally be served. The waiter was nice and gave us a complimentary dessert.
Consistent food quality and excellent service provided by Jayme!
Romano's Macaroni Grill in Reno was wonderful. The food is simple, yet delicious - good Italian home cooking. There are several options for a vegetarian, but I choose the mac and cheese, as I had not seen this on their menu before, and it was really great. My wife had the shrimp Portofino, her favorite, which was also delicious. We had a bottle of the Romano Rosso, a nice 1.5L bottle (my doctor says I can only have one bottle of wine a day!!!) of really nice wine. And the service was also fantastic. Thanks, Tyla. If you need a quick bite on your way to or from the Reno airport, stop in at Romano's and have a nice little feast.
Took over 45 minutes to bring our food out. My boyfriend’s pasta looked like it was under the heat lamp for a while it wasn’t even that hot when it arrived. Asked for the steak to be well done and still had pink in the middle after a bite. They could have just brought my boyfriend’s food when it was done and notified us that the steak was going to take a little longer. When we got our food my boyfriend and I had lost appetite from waiting so long. Plus not to mention there was no more than 6 tables being used with three serves and 2-3 cooks.
There was black particles in my ice that looked like ashes. The first glass I got had a cluster of the particles and the proceeding glass had a few here and there in the ice so I got a drink with no ice. I just over all didn’t like the food or the fact the ice had crap in it. Just better off saving a few bucks and going to Olive Garden.
Macaroni Grill at this time of the day and week was very quiet and safe. The waiter we had was outstanding. Very attentive, and very efficient. My friend and I had a very quiet, but comfortable and yummy late lunch, early dinner. She had never been to a Macaroni Grill before and was quite impressed and surprised. We had two gift cards that I had purchased at a discount, and I felt like it was definitely worth it. Nothing could have been better for two old ladies to visit, eat and have a very special time together. Thank you.
It was good. Just wish they had Chianti still. But service was good and food was too.
Have only been once long time ago , decided to try again because my daughter wanted Italian and likes ambiance . Loved our meals , Im on a calorie restricted diet and they had a nice selection of meals within that arena !
Very please with staff, and the food. We left very happy.
Food excellent but really slow especially since hardly anyone in restaurant.
Definitely americanized italian (very similar to olive garden), the pasta sauces are somewhat sub par, but their appetizers and signature mac and cheese are to die for. Their unlimited soups and salads are delicious, you get a lot of bang for your buck and the service from our waiter Brenden was outstanding! Very covid safe and very safe environment
TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE. We were the only ones in the place so it's not like it was busy. We ordered tomato soup and it was like cold tomato paste. There was no liquid in it. Then we ordered make your own pasta and it took forever to get it and the sauce was pasty on one with the shrimp tasting fishy and the other dish was cold with uncooked pasta! We paid for the drinks that we could not get refilled and sent the food back and left. We went through McDonald's on the way home. This place is terrible and they ignore you. They know they were serving garbage and they wouldn't even look at us. Never again.
Daughter leaving for military service and son heading back to college
Service is always the best. The food is great.
Christmas Eve dinner
Server was friendly, kids liked their meals, wife enjoyed her lamb shank, my "ribeye" was 100% sirloin, was ok, but not worth $28. Sad beer selection, no draft, no local, no seasonal. Wife said her glass of wine was ok. So overall, it was ok, but not $100 ok (including 20% tip).
Great service and great spaghetti. We were stuffed and happy.
The food and service was great! We actually had the whole place to ourselves, I hope they survive the pandemic.
