Romano's Macaroni Grill - Lake Buena Vista
hand-breaded milanese-style chicken breast, imported pomodorina, mozzarella, capellini
chicken breast, mushrooms, marsala wine sauce, roasted garlic, capellini
sautéed jumbo shrimp, capellini, spinach, mushrooms, garlic, pine nuts, lemon butter
Place smelled and was dirty with water dripping from the ceiling. Over all just nasty!!!
Shane was an awesome.water. Food wasn't as good as it used to be.
It’s been several years since going to Romano’s Macaroni Grill and I specifically sought it out for our last dinner in Orlando having missed the delicious bread and penne rustica. Unfortunately the experience did not live up to my memory. The bread was barely done and was removed from the oven about 10 minutes too soon IMO. My penne rustica was similar to what I remembered but honestly seemed like steamed shrimp and sliced chicken were barely tossed with sauce and noodles. Previously it had been finished under the broiler I think which formed a delightful crust on top which was missing and the flavor of the sauce was a little flat missing the taste of rosemary I remember. We were seated in the very back corner of the restaurant even though there were probably only 6 seated tables throughout and our waiter was more then slow to visit. I asked for lemon with my tea which was forgotten and finally received it about 20 min after being sat. Not once were we asked about our food. We saw him a total of 4 times. One of us got lasagna and the other macaroni snd cheese. They were happy but had no previous memory or experience to compare. I will take my leftovers and dress it up to be what I remember in my own kitchen.
Had a very nice experience. My dining partner was a bit disappointed with her meal - a build your own pasta. She had ordered the Shrimp Portofino previously but did not want the cream sauce. She decided that rather than order the shrimp dish with red sauce instead of the cream sauce, she did a build your own pasta dish. She felt that the shrimp were not the same as the Portofino dish and was a bit disappointed.
We enjoyed three great evenings.
Special commendation to Tre, our waiter. He was excellent.
Some favorite menu items were missing!
Very nice restaurant and accommodating. Food was good. Limited menu but probably due to COVID. Would recommend
I typically have to wait for a table to dine at this restaurant, so I made a reservation. We arrived and were surprised at how empty the restaurant was. The service was excellent and Sam did a great job. We enjoyed our visit.
2 hour wait even though 75% of the restaurant was empty
Place was empty.
Server was not well trained, had to ask for all requested items twice.
Charged for refills for soda.
Did not check back in with us, stood talking to others at front.
Penne Rustica did not have sausage and did not have the correct sauce, no creamy sauce was a whit wine sauce. Had no spice to it at all. One of my favorite dishes was extremely disappointing.
Outstanding meal. My husband and I both had the chicken Marsala. It was a change of pace for my husband who always orders chicken parmigiana. He was glad he made the change. Annie our server was delightful. Wish there was still a Macaroni Grill near us in the Chicago suburbs.
Food was fabulous and our server Jo was outstanding!
Overall positive experience. They just re-opened for in restaurant dining so we’re a bit short staffed but we had a large group and they did their best to accommodate. Food was decent and less pricey/noisy then going to Disney Springs. Could actually hear people talk.
This was the worst service. Our server didn’t bring half our food and what we did get was mediocre at best. I’m not a big fan of Olive Garden but it would’ve been way better than this. I’ll never go back.
Not even close to expectations. I don’t enjoy rap type music in a place that tries to pass itself off as semi-authentic Italian.
We were very happy with our visit to the macaroni grill. The food was great and the staff kept the bread plate filled. It was lovely dinner for all of us.
Have not been in years, but was excited to try them again.
Fresh bread at table was good, olive oil with pepper dipping was great! Drinks were prompt, and server took our order…and we NEVER saw her again.
Food was brought out by some runners who were pleasant enough. Servers at tables around us were very attentive and seemed to be providing good service. But we did not see our server for another 25 minutes. My dish wash spicy and was out of my beverage…but never had it refilled. Had to drink from my families drinks to make it through, but they too were empty soon enough. No one checked in after the food was brought, no one checked on our drinks…nothing. Typically a manager makes the rounds through a dining room, but we never saw one as well to express our frustration. Honestly we had to pull teeth to get a bill even.
Food was excellent, teas were great until they ran out…just a lack of service or follow-up. We completely understand the work climate now with Covid and places struggling to find workers. We were very pleased to see the number of folks working and appeared to have good service levels elsewhere and with other servers.
Because the food was good, and other servers appeared to providing good service…we will try them again when we are back in that area.
Everything was outstanding. Thank you Travis for your service.
Dinner was good. It was slow, due to staffing shortage. Restaurant was empty. Prices were moderate to fair. Used a Gift Card, no issues with it. Over all would recommend.
We had a lovely time as usual. We were celebrating our wedding anny. The food was great & the cheesecake was gray too.
We came to Macaroni Grill for our Anny. We had a lovely dinner. We always come here when we are on vacation.
Consistent good quality family dinner with choices for the kids!
Great food. Excellent service. I really enjoyed the bruschetta and truffle Mac and cheese.
Waitress was the best!
The food is always awesome here. Service was great and we had a wonderful dining experience.
Food was not great.. No one in the place! Should have been a tell tale sign
They were rude and the management made fun of a disabled person so no I will never go back to that place.
The food was below average, Luke warm and dry. The service was ok just wasn’t expecting below average especially for the price .
The service was not great! The food was just ok and the manager was a little rude! Overall not a good experience and would not recommend.
Casual and friendly. Got the check presented without asking- the only thing I did not like.
Such a great experience! The server was attentive and helpful. The food was so good! I’m from Oregon so they closed them here and I was so excited to see them while on vacation. Still amazing bread ! Definitely recommend. Everyone working was nice and helpful as well
The bread was not good and dipping oil tasted just like paper and oil with no seasoning. Not enough red gravy on pasta. No pine nuts for pasta as you like it.
We went here for our anniversary dinner and it was awful. We have been to other Macaroni grills and always like them. I ordered the tortellini dinner and it was $20 for 6 pieces of tortellini and that didn’t include a salad with the meal. There was no meat with the pasta. That is ridiculously overpriced! We asked why it was so small and cost $20 and the waiter just awkwardly laughed. Then we ordered a slice of chocolate cake and it must have been next to something with onions in the fridge because it tasted like onions. It was just a bad experience and way overpriced. If you are going to charge $20 for a pasta dish then there should be more than 6 pieces.
We sat in the bar area. The bartender was our server also. He was excellent. Very attentive.
Service and food were poor. The experience was nothing like other Macaroni Grill restaurants we have patronized.
The portions are very limited on the amount of meat in the dish appearing to be a cost saving measure. Will not be back again.
I booked on opentable but was told they couldn’t find the reservation. But there were plenty of tables so sat right away.
The food was tasteless looked like some frozen dinners
Reservation made for 8:30 and when we got there we were rudely told that we had to take the food to go and can’t be seated because they close at 9. Poor service and for a reservation to be done while traveling out of town to be told it can’t be accepted is illogical. Do better.
