   Had reservations for a party of 4 at Ina Rd location for New Year’s Eve, because Romano’s had advertised a special 3-course New Year’s dinner. Arrived, discovered the restaurant is CLOSED. Permanently, I believe. Imagine having a reservation to a restaurant that doesn’t exist. Anyway, so no, I can’t recommend this place, unless you’re REALLY SERIOUS about losing weight or avoiding noisy restaurants. P.S. I assume the Broadway location is still open.

   We had dinner here on Christmas Day evening - the restaurant was closing for good the next day and half the wait staff didn’t show up for work. The remaining staff handled it all amazingly and we had a very nice dinner.

   Christmas Eve meal, they had some kind of issue with cook staff and food took forever. When we did get it quality was good and I would recommend for that.

   Everyone was very welcoming to our party and especially to my 97-year-old mother in law who uses a walker. Our server was very attentive and friendly. We ordered soup and salad for before our entrees, but the entrees came before we were half finished with our soups and salads, which was awkward. I ordered the new chopped salad, which was not good, though the tomato basil soup that I had time to eat was fine. Everyone else seemed pleased with their entrees. We did not get to try the hot bread because of the awkward timing of our other food. Overall this was a typical chain fast casual restaurant with reasonable prices and a staff which is trained to be kind to seniors.

   When we arrived, no one greeted us for at least 10 minutes. My spouse went to the bathroom and was shocked that I was still waiting to be seated when she returned - and it was NOT BUSY. Once we were seated our waitress asked us for our cocktail order and then we were informed our waitress had changed. My meal was great - shrimp & scallops but my spouses flatbread was just OK. We have been going to Macaroni Grill in Colorado for years, but this is the first time in AZ - not a great experience. Don't know if it was an off night, but I would hesitate to go to this location again..

   Honey let me begin to tell you. It was Thanksgiving and quite busy. I called ahead because I had a set up for another restaurant which was closed. So knowing it is Thanksgiving, my party of 5 prepared to wait. It was understandably busy. The manager said I will get seated but the timing might be long. I arrived just after 5 and my reservation was for 5:30. We waited briefly and we were seated. We were given Macaroni bites to help cut the hunger until our food arrived. The manager and servers were excellent! Very accommodating and very friendly. The food: 2 spaghetti w/meatballs, a shrimp and chicken fettuccini, a salmon plate and a rosemary chicken pasta. The food rated a negative 10. First off, the unlimited soup arrived cold for 2 of the three that ordered soup. When it came back it was extremely hot. One person was given a spaghetti 20 minutes before the rest of the table was served. It was slightly warm and the pasta was dry and it was all stirred up. Had to search for the giant meatballs. Later 2 other plates arrived, one the fettuccine plate that lacked fettuccine.—-lukewarm. The other a spaghetti in a black plate that looked unclean. Assuming they were overwhelmed with the Thanksgiving rush, we accepted it. We were already starved. The present appeared someone had stirred in it as we had to search for the meatballs. It was lukewarm. The last dish arrived another 30 minutes later extremely hot. The chicken was rubbery and everything was overly seasoned with rosemary. It was so much rosemary in the chicken and pasta dish was served in the wrong bowl that it stunk. Because the manager and server were so apologetic and kind we could not complain to them. They offered free desert which my family accepted. I want you to know that we expected the wait time but did not expect the awful food. After the buzz of the restaurant calmed down we saw someone else’s spaghetti with 4 neatly lined meatballs and we could visibly see the sauce on it...NEVER again.

   Usually, the service is excellent, but this last time our server was new to the job and needed to study the menu. The food has always been good and reasonably priced.

    We made our reservation for their special Thanksgiving Menu. The place was packed. Yes we did have a table but the staff was overwhelmed. Hostesses were running around in a frenzy. Our waitress tried really hard.... ambiance was not there. The food was cool like it had been plated for awhile and sat. Of course, they were caught in the romaine lettuce situation but at 2:30 we’re already running out of stuff and serving dishes/tableware. We will give them another try under normal circumstances but will probably not look at them for special occasions.
