Waiter was horrible.
Too busy waiting on the table next to us that he paid us no mind.

Very nice staff and their effort appreciated. The interior is a little worn and the entree's too heavy with cheese. Wine list limited but the prices were moderate.

Since we arrived before a hostess was on duty, we had to wait for one of the servers to notice that we needed a table. Service and food was good.

We were greeted and seated immediately. The greeter seeing that our server had not come to our table yet, took our drink order, pored the oil and brought us our bread. The bread was not hot and crust over cooked. By the time our server came to our table, we ordered. I guess this set the tone for the rest of the evening, as our server never came back to see if we want a refill on the unlimited salad. The entrees were served by a runner, not our server, and wasn't hot. The runner also provided the shredded parmesan. We were half way through the meal before the server checked back. We could hear the server ask the table next to us if they wanted additional bread, however we felt shunned. Finally at the end I had to ask for a refill and Bri forgot to take the discount off the check. She received only a little more than 50% of tip for less than 50% of service and we are regulars at this restaurant.

Had to wait for hostess. After seating the group in front of us, she went in the kitchen, like she did not know we were there, then took awhile to check back up front and seat us. Server was slow to come to table and greet. During meal, he didn't check back for refms, as the manager refilled the ice tea. Another server brougbt out food.

Our Server was not very attentive, however did apologize for not attending to us sooner after we were seated. He continued not to be attentive until all the other tables he was waiting on left, that I asked for refills. Main entree could have been warmer. Perhaps it had been waiting to be served, as service as I said was slow. There was also no wine list on the table that we had to ask for it, as we did not get the house honor pour wine.

We were seated Immediately. Mahi-Mahi was delicious. They got a little busy as the lunch hours were winding down and just before the dinner staff was coming on, that service wasn't as attentive as we are accustom. It still wasn't bad and very friendly. Manager visited tables.

We were immediately greeted and seated in the bar area, as it was in the middle of the afternoon, after the lunch rush. The food was hot and tasty. We had the chicken scallopini and chicken parmesan. Since there was only one server on in the restaurant during this time, we had to wait a little longer for drink refills once more tables filled up. All in All, it was a good late lunch, early dinner.

Don’t order their soups - they are made by the EVIL twin chef of the angelic twin pasta chef. 1st bowl of corn chowder was super spicy, but thick. Changed to tomato basil soup and they basically just serve you straight up marinara sauce from the bottle?!? Who drinks that??? Then got another bowl of corn chowder and they just added a bunch of water to serve you watery soup with no corn in it... Pasta was very good though (hence the angelic pasta chef). We asked for the pasta to have more sauce in it. And we got charged for extra sauce (who does that in an Italian restaurant?!?). It would have been fine if there really was more sauce, but there wasn’t. Just a terrible dining experience. No wonder there was barely anyone there. The manager/ owner of this location should do some serious QC and service check.

The Mahi-Mahi, which is on their specialties menu, is fantastic. You may have to ask for the specials menu, since they often forget, as they did today and our previous visit. The server did not ask if I wanted additional salad, as it was a small salad, however is endless as a $2.50 add on to meals. She did however ask if we wanted additional bread. We were not offered a wine sample. Also had to ask for parmesan cheese for our entrees, as we all did not have the Mahi-Mahi. It was an enjoyable family dining experience.

Food never disappoints! Service was wonderful. Just preferred not have my "dipping olive oil plate... automatically added by the server with ground salt/pepper". Prefer to allow me to prepare my own dipping plate... which consisted of olive oil and balsamic vinegar swirled together... no added spices.
My friends whom I treated that evening where visiting from Canada and Italian heritage...they were pleased and all plates at the table "cleaned of foods" before the server picked them up to make room for Dessert! Yum to all!

I tasted and didn't care for the fettuccine alfredo. The chicken also while tender, did not have a lot of taste. We also had the chicken parmesan and the capellini pasta was too peppery tasting, though you could not see the pepper. We are regular customers to this location, however we must have come on an off night or a different chef. Service was good, as we were seated immediately.

Food was good but ambiance left a lot to be desired. I guess men think it's fine to wear denim shorts, t-shirts and ball caps for a dinner out these days, but c'mon guys...step your game up. .make an effort. Not the fault of the restaurant, maybe the town it's in. They do need to explore the idea of some sort of dress code.
As a result, the place was loud and a bit unruly. Food and service was good, but prices were at a point where I expected a little more. Silver Ware wasn't clean and wine glass smelled musty. I probably won't be going back as a result. There are so many options out there, a restaurant needs to be better than average to get a return visit.

We really enjoyed the experience - the food and service were all excellent. The only thing that detracted from the experience was that the music was too loud. It was difficult to have a conversation with the person across the table. We did request that the music volume be lower but they said that was up to the manager and never was lowered. We would have ordered dessert, etc., if we could have had a pleasant after dinner conversation. I like the food so much better at Macaroni Grill but for a nice family dinner we will go back to other places where we can communicate with each other.

Early Mother's Day brunch on Saturday. It was not even nearly full at 11:30 a.m. The service was so slow. Drinks came slow. Some people not even asked for a drink. Then we waited FOREVER for our food. TWO HOURS to have an early lunch/brunch. When the food came, the bottom was hot but the top was cold. The food itself wasn't even that good. The best thing about the whole meal was the bread but I didn't spend $250 to eat bread. Hardly anyone ate the food. It was terrible.

The service was excellent and the whole staff was very professional. The restaurant is very nice. We did like the food. I would say the only negatives were the food was good but not excellent so the prices were a bit high. Even with that negative we would definitely go back again, because of the ambience and the friendliness of the waiters and hostess.

So over priced for the quality of food. The bread is horrible. My husband's bolognese was burnt. The red sauce is tasteless and pasta was over cooked.

Enjoyable visit. Wait staff were friendly and efficient, Lots of choices on the menu and I thought it was reasonably priced. There is a full bar and they will make drinks other than on their menu. We all picked an unlimited soup or salad option for $2.50. The lobster bisque was tasty, the lasagne and the lobster ravioli also. Our friend chose Carmalea's Chicken and although it was tasty he was expecting to see the chicken breast on top of the pasta, instead it was sliced and mixed in. It is only a minor thing. All in all, it was a lovely evening out.

I have always enjoyed Macaroni Grill, even though we Italians prefer our home cooked Italian food. ;-)
Our waiter, Jose, was EXCELLENT. He was very attentive and professional. The bathrooms are hilarious - between Italian lessons and the exit door spoofing bathroom visitors. The menu is also excellent. I simply made a bad choice. I ordered a Chopped Salad without meat, so they bare-boned the salad - no feta, hardly any garbanzos and never told me I could sub shrimp for the chicken and salami. The romaine lettuce part of the salad included 5 lettuce butts (ends) and did not have an inviting taste. Tasted mostly like romaine and carrots. I have had a 10x better-chopped salad with no meat at UTC's Lorna's local Italian restaurant. My sister felt the same way and her salad included the meats.

The experience won't keep me away, but with all the restaurant choices these days - we will not likely frequent this restaurant. OH - and the other thing is that I made reservations on Open Table a couple days ago and confirmed them this morning. When we arrived they did not have the reservations, but luckily were able to seat us pretty promptly. We were meeting cousins we have not seen in 4 years - so if we would have had to wait... ugh. BUT we didn't! We lucked out!
